used to live in pickens and pour concrete in greer; sometimes six mile, near seneca; and greenville off I85. i live in michigan now. 21 years old lol weirdly nostalgic to the south.
About 5-10 years later Greenville started to become run down as people moved out of downtown into the suburbs. Downtown became a place you did NOT want to go after dark due to homeless and druggies. It never got Spartanburg bad but pretty bad. In the early 90s they made a concerted effort to overhaul and revitalize the city and now it's what it is today. For better or worse. I think mostly better. The bad part is they tore down a lot of the old historic buildings in the 80s and 90s so much of the historical architecture is gone.
51 years later we get to deal with the Woodruff Rd nightmare. I miss old Greenville
I would like to see the entire video, I’m also a Greenville SC resident. Born and raised.

Now you have a sad few rundown neighborhoods, such as the one I lived in. I lived in Dunean.
I live in front of Donaldson center and it’s still very very very active, all you here are helicopters and planes flying over your house
Yes, it used to be a nice Southern city, then the Yankees transplants arrived...
Don't you just love how they buy up and destroy everything?
@@imasonofadeadbeat2928 is that why the drivers have gotten worse?
@@kevinhead5795 Yeah, Yankees can't drive.
