@ 18:25 Falls Park being "integral to who Greenville is." Very astute observation! If you'll look into the history of Greenville, it kinda used to be a dump - including the river and waterfall. But there was a mayor back in the 70's-80's who had a vision for Greenville BECAUSE of the river. It was apparently so overgrown with weeds and trash that you couldn't even see it, and the mayor said "No other city has this, so WHY are we not using it to our advantage??" So the Reedy River was cleaned up, and the rest is history.. In the grand scheme of it all the park is still pretty new - and I think the Liberty Bridge even is still just around 20yrs old. But what you see now is the finished product of an idea that started ~40 years ago. And now the whole city is just a beautiful, magical place. In fact, I'm approaching retirement age and I've always dreamed of moving to the beach, but I know that I'd miss my beloved Greenville if I did, so....
We LOVE Greenville SC! My fiancés family lives there so it’s like our second home. There are 2 lakes abt 1 hour out of the city that are crystal clear and fed by waterfalls. One is jocassee and the other is kiowee. Rent a pontoon and spend all day out there is a must!

Great video! Greenville is one of our absolutely favorite cities and the people there are wonderful! The food, the bridges, the Reedy park, the live music; everything downtown is a delight. It is a fabulous city to visit. It was also in our top three retirement city considerations after taking four years to research and visit areas! What finally took it off our list as a place to live was that the Upstate foliage is so dense and tall that it is like a canopy over and around you everywhere. We like at least some open areas, green hills or fields, or peekaboo views a least, but those are few and far between in that region. But we will be back to visit downtown for sure!
Glad you enjoyed our town! Sorry for all the construction. Falls park is really a treasure, and we treat it as such. If you believe it, the falls used to be boarded up, and downtown wasn’t a place you would go. We still have our challenges, but it’s become a great place to live, and even if I didn’t live here, I think I would still visit.
So cool to see this. My company has a site in Greenville and I've spent a bunch of time there in the last year. It's easy to rent a bike and head out on the Swamp Rabbit Trail up to Travelers Rest. There are some great little places to stop and eat there as well. I've missed SBH, I'll hit them up next trip. The history of the falls park and how it's been brought back from being hidden under a street overpass is great story, not that many years back the downtown was not a place to be.
I love this review. We have two homes, one in Chattanooga (Collegedale) and our weekend home in Greenville (Pumpkintown) near Table Rock and Caesars Head.
I’ve always heard good things about Greenville being a great midsize city! Thanks for sharing a bit about it, sometimes there’s not enough coverage of good off the path US places to visit.
We really loved Greenville, we're not just saying that. Incredibly friendly people and you can tell the city is pouring a lot of time and resources into making the city a wonderful place for its residence and visitors.
So good to hear from you, Ellen! Y'all need to make your way down to the deep south one day. :) We'll give you all the best stops as long as you pass through Chattanooga, too. 😄
For anyone who is looking to visit or move here, a ‘small’ city is a misnomer here. To a native everywhere they went in this video is considered ‘downtown’. The vast majority of the city is suburban, so the city sprawls. There are 3 major cities in SC, Greenville in the Upstate, the capital Columbia, and Charleston the major port city.
Thanks for the lovely tour of this city. I should tour the entire state some day. My husband commented Kramer has been to more countries than he has. Sara, I loved your dress. I recently did another purge of stuff before and post yard sale. I held on to a pattern that is similar. I’ve not sewn any thing for a while. Time to dust off the Juki machine. Thanks again for a really memorable video tour.

You can tell it's changed a LOT the last few years, some of the spots we visited seemed brand new! The city has done a wonderful job creating spaces and places for the locals. Such a great small city!
many are confused by city limits or south carolina annexation laws greenville is the millionth largest county and metropolitan area in south carolina and the third largest in carolinas behind charlotte and Raleigh durman and everyone thinks that it is smaller than asheville or chatannoga it is not even close to a city it is measured by its metropolitan area not by its 29 square mile city limits greenville is a great city it has everything and all the stores that asheville and chattanoga do not offer
Have you guys been to Central America ? visited El Salvador ? I suggest you visit the beaches, and other places in El Salvador,Central America and maybe do a video on that .
The Carolinas are so underrated! We love the mountains of NC best and the beaches of SC, but so many of the small towns are wonderful. The Greenville locals were truly some of the friendliest we've met in a long time!
I think Methodical was our preferred coffee spot. Due South was good too, but Methodical has multiple locations in town, each with a really nice shop aesthetic wonderful for hanging out with a book or getting some work done. Because Methodical has multiple locations you're never far from one of their shops. :)
What park did you say it is? Hey, what is this song called, it is really sweet! I found it, thank you, so much for this video and song today, I hope to find my people in Greenville, South Carolina someday!
Nice. Greenville is a great place to visit. I really enjoyed your vlog on it. I haven't been to some of your featured places but I'm adding them to "want to go". Hope you're doing well.
We've been there a couple of times and want to move to the area because our kids are there. It is a beautiful area and you captured that well with the video editing. I would love to know who did the editing. We'll done!

Been living here most of my whole life. You get sucked in lol no one can leave… if you do, you come back lol very cool place truthfully. Always something to do… if not, super close to other major cities so yeah! 🦋🌈
As someone who lives in Greenville, I have to say I loved this! I'm glad you enjoyed the area, it really is charming. It appears you didn't get to stroll around downtown Simpsonville- it's a charming small downtown area less than 20 mins from Greenville! I love that you went to Paris Mountain, that's one of my favorite spots. My friends and I love going to the creek there, we built a little shelter out of tree branches pretty far down it and we hang there while our parents talk and sit around by the shelter. I'm happy that you enjoyed your time there!
@addisondunn5422 yes...moves from fla to here and it has been great...good scenery, nicely priced with decent wages for the most part. It does have its downsides just like everywhere else, but in general it's been a plus for me
Wow! Never had Greenville on our radar! It looks like a beautiful city! Mapped it…it’s less than 3 hours from our Ellijay home. We will definitely put on our list! Thanks guys!~Cara 😊
Great job with this video. Greenville is a great town. I am commenting as you all should have more views and Greenville should have more visitors. Hey to Kramer!
When we were in Greenville this past week (a few days before Memorial Day) it wasn't open yet. However, it looked like it was really close! So it could be that it opened over the weekend. ☺️
Crazy to see my city have a tourist video and to see around the area where I work! I've been to everywhere, and unity park is an insane attraction that's connected to the rabbit trail. Downtown is definitely a place most taken care of
Love knowing the rest of North America through you guys even though people hear about many of states and cities in USA, I'd say we barely know about them besides New York and LA that appears to be the only cities for Hollywood 😂❤️ Dont know if you are team cold 😂but videos of Canada would be great 👍🏻❤️
Hi Brandon! We love hearing we have some viewers up in Canada! Some of our very first videos on our channel were actually in Canada (Vancouver Island, Alaska Highway, and Dempster Highway to Tuk). Those videos are ooooold, so it's kind of cringy to watch our brand new UA-camr selves out there. 😅 We'd love to be able to explore more of Canada though! We've never been to Nova Scotia, Ontario, or Quebec and would love to visit those areas of Canada, probably in the warmer months though. 😊
@@chrisandsara I'm not from or in Canada sorry 😂, but I'd love to move there one day, so improving languages (like french, Chinese, Russian besides English) and learning skills is high on the list ❤️
I love and hate this video at the same time. The camera work is phenomenal, but its gonna make everybody want to move there and then its gonna be overcrowded lol. We found out about Greenville from Florida 5 years ago and have been visiting every year since. We're finally moving there permanently in 8 days!!
I’m in NE FL and looking at Greenville for possible retirement move. All my extended family is in GA, SC or NC and if you are leaving FL, you get why I’m looking to leave. I’ve lived in FL a combined almost 30 years but originally from VA and still miss it. Greenville provides a lot of what I miss but a bit milder winter.
Saw this comment and just had to reply. We are also in Florida (Broward county) and moving to Greenville in a couple months 😂 I saw another realtor say that most of the people moving to Greenville are either from Columbia, SC or Broward County, FL. Go figure!
@@midlife_minimalist That's exactly why we chose here. I'm originally from Washington State and I miss the 4 seasons, something you definitely don't get in Florida. In Florida it's hot from March to November, but in Greenville it's hot from April to like October, don't have to deal with that hot, humid heat and mosquitoes anymore. The snow is very mild, but if you want more, then there's the beautiful little mountain towns only an hour away in North Carolina.
@@ashton8878 It's amazing here. If you don't care for the beaches in Florida and you want all 4 seasons, then definitely give Greenville a try. It's hot in Florida right now, but it's already nice and cool up here and the added beauty of the fall colors and North Carolina mountains in the distance.
I'm from here and everyone I know calls it Fall's Park. That is so funny if it's actually called Fall's Creek Park. Don't get in the water there. It's dirty haha
Nice video. Fun Fact; The empty building at the17:07 mark, is the original Duke's Mayonnaise factory, which was invented in Greenville, over 100 years ago, by Eugenia Duke. It is currently known as the Wyche Pavilion.
I personally think you should eat first, then wait about half an hour then workout... That way you are feeding your muscles and burning more fat. I'm not a nutritionist, but that seemed to work for me better. That's what I used to do in my younger days. Thanks for sharing guys, love the content. 👍👍👍
@@chrisandsara running is definitely different. That you would have to do on an empty stomach, but working out on the muscle's like arms, chest, and back? You would definitely want to eat before that.

I was born here, You're ruining our town. Don't venture outside the city, you'll run into us. You're not welcome.
Born and raised here I love it
It’s a great city!
@@chrisandsara glad you all enjoyed it
Love the Prisma Health Swamp Rabbit Trail!
Us, too!! Such a great trail! I wish we had packed our bikes!
Great informative videos:a little of everything and great quality videos. Have you guys been to Florida ? done videos on Florida ?
Yes we have a few videos on Florida! Thank you so much for your kind words
I’m glad you enjoyed our town. ❤
We did! Thanks for having us!
So fun! I'm ready to visit now! (I've been really surprised with the Carolinas.)
The Carolinas are so underrated! We love the mountains of NC best and the beaches of SC, but so many of the small towns are wonderful. The Greenville locals were truly some of the friendliest we've met in a long time!
Of the places you had coffee, which is your top recommendation?
I think Methodical was our preferred coffee spot. Due South was good too, but Methodical has multiple locations in town, each with a really nice shop aesthetic wonderful for hanging out with a book or getting some work done. Because Methodical has multiple locations you're never far from one of their shops. :)
Woahh never excepted to see My hometown
You have a really wonderful hometown! ❤
Thank you for visiting my hometown! 😊
Our pleasure!
I’m a Greenville native and I didn’t even know that fun fact about the liberty bridge lol!
😃
What park did you say it is? Hey, what is this song called, it is really sweet! I found it, thank you, so much for this video and song today, I hope to find my people in Greenville, South Carolina someday!
It's called Falls Park on the Reedy and it's beautiful! Definitely one of the most popular spots in town. :)
Brazilian Cheese Puffs (Pão de queijo) are THE BEST option for breakfast and snacks. That's definitely a good reason for visiting Greenville SC.
😊
Nice. Greenville is a great place to visit. I really enjoyed your vlog on it. I haven't been to some of your featured places but I'm adding them to "want to go". Hope you're doing well.
Hope you're doing well Dan! Greenville has some nice gems and is a great place to visit.
If you’re headed to Asheville grab some take out for lunch at Sandhill Kitchen. You won’t be disappointed.
Asheville is our next stop! I'm saving Sandhill Kitchen to my Google Maps to checkout. Thank you!! :)
We've been there a couple of times and want to move to the area because our kids are there. It is a beautiful area and you captured that well with the video editing. I would love to know who did the editing. We'll done!
Thanks so much! We actually do all the editing ourselves. :) Greenville is a wonderful place, I hope you get a chance to move closer to your kids one day soon!
Been living here most of my whole life. You get sucked in lol no one can leave… if you do, you come back lol very cool place truthfully. Always something to do… if not, super close to other major cities so yeah! 🦋🌈
❤
As someone who lives in Greenville, I have to say I loved this! I'm glad you enjoyed the area, it really is charming. It appears you didn't get to stroll around downtown Simpsonville- it's a charming small downtown area less than 20 mins from Greenville! I love that you went to Paris Mountain, that's one of my favorite spots. My friends and I love going to the creek there, we built a little shelter out of tree branches pretty far down it and we hang there while our parents talk and sit around by the shelter. I'm happy that you enjoyed your time there!
We loved our time in Greenville. We need to add Simpsonville to our list to visit. Thanks for that recommendation!
You should go about an hour out to Lake Jocassee!
Thanks for this. We're adding it to our list to go to!
just moved here about 8 months ago and it has been wonderful
Did you move from out of state? My wife and I are thinking of relocating from Kansas city and are intrested in others experiences. TIA
@addisondunn5422 yes...moves from fla to here and it has been great...good scenery, nicely priced with decent wages for the most part. It does have its downsides just like everywhere else, but in general it's been a plus for me
❤
Wow! Never had Greenville on our radar! It looks like a beautiful city! Mapped it…it’s less than 3 hours from our Ellijay home. We will definitely put on our list! Thanks guys!~Cara 😊
It's definitely worth a visit, especially being so close to y'all! We keep meaning to visit Ellijay as well!
@@chrisandsara let us know and we can show you guys around we have a beautiful 7K sq ft cabin you guys are welcome to stay with us too! 😊~Cara
God bless!
❤
Can you tell me the name of the music that begins to play in your video at Paris Mountain state park information?? Found the others. ❤
The song is called Falling Star by The Neighborly
Can't wait to visit! Great video!
Thanks, Lucas!! You need to visit Chattanooga first though. 😄
Great job with this video. Greenville is a great town. I am commenting as you all should have more views and Greenville should have more visitors. Hey to Kramer!
Thanks for watching Steve! It means a lot. And Greenville is a great town!
I’ve lived with n greenville for my whole life ❤😊
Such a wonderful town to call home! ❤
We love Greenville!
Such a wonderful town! A lot like Chattanooga but yet different enough to feel like a getaway.
I'm from Knoxville, live in South Carolina, and love that you opened your video about Greenville with a band from Knoxville, the Dirty Guvnahs!
Didn't know they were from Knoxville. So funny!
LOVE local, homemade creamery. Added to the list 😋
Who doesn't love good ice cream?! Clare's so wonderful and the family who runs it was so kind. 10/10 recommend!
Is the bridge in Reedy open yet? Went a few days ago or so and it was closed for maintenance. I think it’s supposed to be done by Memorial Day.
When we were in Greenville this past week (a few days before Memorial Day) it wasn't open yet. However, it looked like it was really close! So it could be that it opened over the weekend. ☺️
@@chrisandsara thank you, we want to check it out at night and see the pretty lights on the bridge. Thank you for the video. 🙂
Fountain Inn representing!
👌
My favorite grocery store
It's such a cool place!
Crazy to see my city have a tourist video and to see around the area where I work! I've been to everywhere, and unity park is an insane attraction that's connected to the rabbit trail.
Downtown is definitely a place most taken care of
We loved our time in Greenville!
@@chrisandsara it counts while you have visited those provinces and you're still planning on to visit more, I'm not even far 😂💔
Hi Chris and Sara,
My only complaint about your sweet video was that it was way too short.
😂 that's the sweetest comment. Thank you!!
Go figure!
Omg, from FL and looking to relocate to Greenville. So daunting!!
Nice, thanks
I'm from here and everyone I know calls it Fall's Park. That is so funny if it's actually called Fall's Creek Park. Don't get in the water there. It's dirty haha
😅
Nice video. Fun Fact; The empty building at the17:07 mark, is the original Duke's Mayonnaise factory, which was invented in Greenville, over 100 years ago, by Eugenia Duke. It is currently known as the Wyche Pavilion.
Oh cool! Thanks for the info!
I personally think you should eat first, then wait about half an hour then workout... That way you are feeding your muscles and burning more fat. I'm not a nutritionist, but that seemed to work for me better.
That's what I used to do in my younger days. Thanks for sharing guys, love the content. 👍👍👍
I always get a cramp when I run after eating! 😅 You must be stronger than me!
So glad you enjoyed the video! :)
@@chrisandsara running is definitely different. That you would have to do on an empty stomach, but working out on the muscle's like arms, chest, and back? You would definitely want to eat before that.
bow i love greenvile south carolina because i live here
👍🏻
You have such a nice hometown! We loved visiting. :)
i grew up in greenville, i was the first person to ride ten speed in down town in 1980 and it was so boring then. i miss the trees and hate the traffic now. i could drive around and never see a car now it is over crowed on highways.please save our trees and turtles which are native to our area.
❤
many are confused by city limits or south carolina annexation laws greenville is the millionth largest county and metropolitan area in south carolina and the third largest in carolinas behind charlotte and raleigh durman regardless of its neighbor spartanburg its neighborhoods are already stuck 1.6k and everyone thinks it's smaller than asheville it's nowhere near a city it's measured by its metropolitan area not its 29 square miles city limits greenville it's a great city it has everything and all the shops and many things that asheville does not offer
Good to know!
So which one is better? Chattanooga or Greenville?
👀
Ooo... that's a tough question. They're really pretty similar. I'd recommend checking out both!
Can’t wait for you guys to hit 1 mil subs… ok, 250k first :)
😂 oh man, that would be amazing! Maybe one day! ☺️
I'm trying to get the TITLE of two songs you have on video .. but don't see them. Can you start listing the titles of the songs?
I'm interested in the first song You have to find your people... And then the next song after...
I think you found the first song but that one is by Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors!
$20?!! bucks for all of that?! Yum!
🎉🎉🎉🎉
biased but THE BEST!
❤
I always want to do a coffee tour when we travel, but my heart and sleep schedule (and bladder 😂) always say no… haha
😂 You and me both! -Sara
