I am with you Spencer; Monsieur Verdoux is my favorite Chaplin film. I have a huge fondness for A Countess From Hong Kong as well, and feel like it doesn't get the credit it deserves. Despite This is My Song being a hit back when the film came out, it is a shame that no one sings it today. Smile is probably more known to people, and they aren't even aware that it is from Chaplin.
