One of the few singers from the 80s who still has his voice!!
He still has the voice, but the body.....ugh.
You are SO RIGHT!! Mike sounds as good as he did on my radio so many years ago. 😎😎😎❤️❤️❤️
He does sound incredible!
Yeah that !
@@taffycat5049 It's called LIP SYNCING
43 years later, Mike Reno still has some of the best vocals on the planet!
And yet, in some recent posted vids, people are accusing them of using vocal tracks. Mike always had the pipes. He is an amazing talent!
Ok Mike, whatever.
I like how he remains humble and true to his fans. Not to mention that he has a great voice in the high tones.
I still have the shirt Mike signed over my right breast at the OKC OK state fair. He wouldn't give me his sweaty towel.. But he still had the moves.. What? 20 years ago? LOL. One guy signed my CD but the ink bled all over it. LOL good memory.
Mike Reno and Loverboy!!! Thank you so much for the great music and for giving us 80s kids so much fun!!! Loverboys music still rules for us today!!!! God bless you all!!!
Fuck yeah!!!! I remember listening to this with my first bf Herb... Red hair, green eyes.. Just a beautiful body.. Overrun with freckles.....not everyone's cup of tea... But I'd like a full kettle, please!!!
I'm 55 now and I have to say I had a few of their cassettes , the 80's were a great time to be a teenager no doubt
For sure! Iam 57 I loved the 80s great times I wanna go back!
Hello I've seen quite a handful of your comments on my post and I just wanna go out of my way to appreciate those people whose comments and good wishes encourages me and I hope to bring you guys so much entertainments. Feel free to send your email let's chat more okay
@@mikereno8274 is that loverboy for real?
@@mikereno8274my husband and I are going to see y’all in Alabama soon!! Y’all are my favorite Canadian band hands down! I spent my formative years in nearby Saskatchewan 💕😎
Great bands from Canada!...L.B., Rush, April Wine, F.M.E.B., The Kings,
Mike Reno always seems to be a really nice man. A humble good man. Keep up the good work, Loverboy!
My friends band toured with loverboy when they starting getting big. He said all of the guys in the band were always cool but mike (Reno) was a little standoffish and wouldn’t take pictures with my friends band and generally wasn’t a friendly guy. But regardless loverboy made some good tunes!
jebert34 that goes against everything I have heard or seen about him .
@@BluestSkypsl For sure; times change. This was back in the 80’s. Definitely not a bad guy. Just maybe had some things going on in the tour that were challenging. Peace and love to mike.
How come there are no recordings on here of you singing whenever there’s a night from the dream a Little dream soundtrack I would give anything for a backstage recording or raw recording
He does seem very humble, grounded and nice. You wouldn’t really expect that from a true celebrity.
One of the best voices in rock and roll and what a nice man.
Turn me loose is one of the greatest Canadian songs ever. They hit when I was 14. I became a big fan immediately
I still get goosebumps when the bass line starts on that one. RIP, Scott Smith.
Canadian? Best song anywhere .
@@richcampbell6808 Hear, hear !!
Still my crush!!! Love Mike Reno!!!
Thanks for all the memories, Mike! East Detroit, Class of '85!
Stellar voice to this day. And Turn Me Loose is hands down a classic and most fav song. RIP Scott Smith. Amazing bassist
Yeah, I'm 57 and I'll admit Loverboy did have some catchy tunes back in the day. Good interview here...
Mike reno is a cool guy. Great singer also.
One of the nicest, down to earth guys in rock. You'd never know by his humble demeanor that he once fronted one of the biggest bands in the world
I always love Loverboy great band!
One of my favorite bands of the 80's.
Gorgeous smile and great to see him happy!
He has a warmth and sincerity about him - soft-spoken and appears to be a kind man.
He still sounds great when he sings!
Loverboy sold 20 million albums. Quite respectable and then some. Many catchy rockers. They had something like 10 top 40 hits. Everyone remembers them. Nice guys to top it off.
He still has that same great voice. Rock on Loverboy
I went to a Loverboy concert years ago at our local fairgrounds. The crowd was only about a thousand people but man did those guys play their hearts out.
By far my favorite aging rocker.
They kicked butt with their stadium rock. Still do.👍👍👍👍👍😎
His voice is everybit as awesome now as it was then.
I'll never forget when my junior high English teacher , Mrs Dean, who's brother Paul was in a band called Streetheart told me he had formed a new band and was embarrassed to say the name!! lol they did ok with it.
Thank you for your time spent for me Mr. Reno
I saw Loverboy open for Journey twice in ‘83. And I tell ya they were just amazing as the headline band every time. Cheers.
He still sounds like he’s in the studio when he’s live! Perfect 🖤🎶🖤🎶🖤🎶🖤🖤🎶🎶
i was sold the first time i heard Loverboy have every album. keep on keeping on
LOVERBOY. ROCKS
The loverboy songs still play in my head after all these years. That's the ultimate compliment.
Mike is and always has been a class act. Thanks to you and the band for many great memories.
Love you Mike Reno and Loverboy! Great music from a great band! 🎉
"working for the weekend" has been my Friday after work anthem since the song came out. It gets me all fired up for the weekend!
I'm a big Steve Perry fan but when other Perry freaks ask who could even come close to him vocally, I answer Lou Gramm, Burton Cummings, Russell Hitchcock, John Farnham and, of course, Mike Reno (just to name a few). When I left south Texas to my university upstate in my packed little chevy chevette that used to belong to my brother who installed a custom stereo system in it, the first song I blasted driving north on highway 281, was Turn Me Loose. Never felt so free and alive.
Journey has killed a lot of good replacement singer's vocal cords up through the years.
Steve Perry is overrated!! That high sharp edginess he has in his voice is only good to listen to in small doses. I could leave a long list of singers with warmer, richer tones and way easier to listen to than SP.
Cool you included 2 of Canada's best vocalists...
@@MustangTerry great that you notice that but by the same token, I wasn't even thinking in terms of countries or nationalities, I named singers I enjoy based on their talent. So cool that two come from the same homeland. Burton, for example, not only sings well, he plays and writes even better.
UB? Syracuse ?
Saw them live ... they were great ... some prog rock in their tunes ... great guitar, cool keys and of course, amazing melodies sung brilliantly
One of the most understood bands ever! They still kick ass!
They were my 1st concert evey. They did NOT disappoint!! Mike gave me his red bandana. This was in '83. They still rock my world!!
Truly a humble guy! So great to see!
what a nice guy and amazing singer that still can blow it out of the park !
What a great humble guy! Good tunes of course.
You guys, we’re always one of the best bands, love you guys, and amazing songs
Dude you were and are a personal hero. I'm 60 years old. I've performed SO many of your songs. Working for the weekend, When it's over and I am particularly proud of auditioning for a band and hitting the scream note in Turn me loose. Thank you for all of the great material you put out that got me hired "every fucking time". Loverboy's music was never 80s silly pop trash. Wish I could have gotten a chance to get your autograph.
Keep it up boys! I met my lady of the 80's in '83, and have been with her for 40, married to her for 36. Guess I got lucky!
Love Mike.just kills it Live.Remember them doing Niagara Falls for New Years Eve.fkn incredible.
I seen Loverboy in 1982 , Nena and afew new rock bands , Cant completely remember , 2 many brews , Rock on ❤🎉
Great to see these guys still doing their thing .
I still listen to them and am 51 lol there great
Loverboy had a great sound. Mike Reno just seems like such a humble, down-to-earth guy. He seems appreciative for the success the band has had and is still enjoying what he does 40+ years later.
They were one of my favorite bands in high school (1984 graduate).
Lots of good songs I still like a lot. As an adult, I realized that “Destination Heartbreak” was my favorite Loverboy song. To say the song is loaded with awesome music is an understatement.
Mike Reno seems to be a very nice person
You still sound awesome! Love you❤❤❤
Were All Ways,Workin for The Weekend!MtV back in the day,Showed deese Guys,a lot of ❤!
I ❤ Loverboy. Seen them in Winnipeg Manitoba. I drow my 68 Firebird from Yorkton Saskatchewn. They were awaome!! They played a Disco destruction night with the Pumps and the Feeze. So cool! I was 17 years old. The good old days! Fun dun fun!!😊
Dude still better than majority of modern era...I didn't know another Canadian power group like Rush or Truimph.. God Damn Canadian's can rock. .😊
I saw them at the Kiss concert in Vancouver, and they became huge here. I had their albums and played the hits every Sunday at a bar called The Breakers in Point Roberts Wa. I saw them as Headliners as well. I'd love to see them again. Mike Reno can still sing very well.
It doesn't get any better than when Mike Reno sings
🎶 Pig and elephant DNA just won't splice 🎶
Now that's a loverboy if ever saw one. loverboy ROCKS🤘🤘🤘🤘💯😎

Saw Loverboy perform a few year back in Atlantic City. Some of the great songs of my youth. Glad they are still making a living with their great music. Mike seems like a fantastic dude. Hopefully they will keep playing for years to come!

Love this guy and Loverboy! Such a fun band!
I met him & his band in 1982 at Tower Records in San Francisco at a signing! I was the only 8th grader in line! Lol!!🤞🤞🤘
Love Mike Reno. Awesome guy.
Lots of good bands in the 80s. Loverboy was definitely one.
I saw Loverboy in like 82' in the Kingdome in Seattle. Mike Reno hands downs and his lead guitar in the band, were the BEST stadium Rockers I have ever heard or heard since. Reno in his prime has a Concert voice that is perfect and unbeatable. Great concert and great memories, THANKS MIKE!!!!
Really wish the best for this guy .Wow what a voice still
I graduated HS in 1981, Loverboy was the soundtrack
Back in the 80s Mike Reno looked like a model.
He hasn’t missed many meals, has he?
Only ever heard good things about Mike,👍🏻
He's such a great man
Mike is freakin amazing singer.
Great to hear!
"Living for the Weekend" was my favourite.....❤❤
My wife and I were in our 30s when Loverboy first appeared on MTV. She immediately fell in love with Mike. Within an hour, we were on our way to Karma records to pick up their LP.
She's been in love with him every since.
Sucks being me.
Take me to the top, their best song. Great interview too. What a cool dude.
Oh, love Take Me to the Top! Mike Reno seems so kind and his smile is killer. Good to see this clip.
Love,Love,Love Loverboy ! Mike Reno & the boys always do an awesome job live.Really fun concerts... Everyone there know the words, sing along, have a blast, and almost as much fun as the band. They really have fun,and so do the audience.Fantastic experience!
Rock not Roll Hall of Fame! GREAT BAND GREAT VOICE! Mike Reno is so humble - love him and his great voice!
I do miss the excitement of a new album release.
Always loved Loverboy.❤️
tara fehr : I was amazed when I happened upon a concert some years back. Mike still could sing the songs in epic Loverboy style. Truly. Incredible. Tip of the hat. I assumed my ears would curl up and die. The notes he had to pull off!! Never assume with Mike Reno. Lesson learned.
One of my favorite bands
I am 60 grew up with this band but never liked them until 2023---thank you Tube !
I loved Loverboy and still do!
*The Great Rock Music Renaissance of the 1980s. Great Rock Music and Great Time growing up in America.*

These guys are True Gentlemen! Met them all in Maryland at a very cool venue and they didn't kill people with ticket prices and they ALL hung out after for pictures and autographs and of course free Bandanas lol... Very classy guys and a breath of fresh air for great musicians!!! Thanks Guys!!! I Mean "Cover Boy" LOLOL.... Mike ROcKS
A lot of unreal tunes
What a damn fine gentleman he is!!
I never really followed bands, knew their names or backgrounds so I didn't even know they were Canadian. Monster R&R band! Great vocals, great writing, all around great band. They are certainly in my HOF.
I have gigged without a bass player before but it was 2019 using the magic of self written /recorded backing tracks. :)
