Lyrics
I was born to run
I was born to dream
The craziest boy you ever seen
I gotta do it my way
Or no way at all
And I was here to please
I'm even on knees
Making love to whoever I please
I gotta do it my way
Or no way at all
And then you came around
Tried to tie me down
I was such a clown
You had to have it your way
Or no way at all
Well
I've had all I can take
I can't take it no more
I'm gonna pack my bags and fly
My way or no way at all
So, why don't you turn me loose?
Turn me loose
Turn me loose
I gotta do it my way
Or no way at all
Why don't you turn me loose?
Turn me loose
Turn me loose
I gotta do it my way
I wanna fly
I'm here to please
I'm even on my knees
Making love to whoever I please
I gotta do it my way
I gotta do it my way
And when you came around
You tried to tie me down
I was such a clown
You had to have it your way
Well
I'm saying no way
So, why don't you turn me loose?
Turn me loose
Turn me loose
I gotta do it my way
Or no way at all
Why don't you turn me loose?
Turn me loose
Turn me loose
I gotta do it my way
I wanna fly
Ooh, yeah
So, why don`t you turn me loose?
Turn me loose
Turn me loose
I gotta do it my way
Or no way at all
Why don't you turn me loose?
Turn me loose
Turn me loose
I gotta do it my way
I gotta do it my way
Why don't you turn me loose?
Turn me loose
Turn me loose
I gotta do it my way
I wanna fly
Turn me loose
Turn me loose
Turn me loose
Turn me loose
Turn me loose
Turn me loose

I'm 60 and hopelessly lost in 80s rock. Every song transports me to a much much better time and place. These last two generations will never know what an epic genre this truly was. It can never be repeated.

This song still gives me goose bumps. One of the best songs from the 80's.
Yes, I agree. I'm 62. This was a great time in my life. Best wishes to you.

One of the greatest rock bands from Canada ever
That would be RUSH..noone comes close..
No doubt Rush is the best Canadian band ever! Nobody compares to the lyrics that Neil Pert brought to us! Not even in the US!!! And Triumph is a solid second! The two best three person bands in the history of rock and roll! And both from Canada. And all thanks to Joe Anthony "The Godfather of rock and roll" Love Loverboy also. I got every Rush, Triumph, and Loverboy album!!! I got every album with Joe Anthonys name on it! Most people dont even understand!!!!!!!

One thing about Mike is he never ditched the band thinking he was better on his own, They fucking rocked together.
I know that happened a lot in the 80's, Sting, Phil Collins, Steve Perry, George Micheal, Peter Gabriel, Lionel Richie, Don Henley, Stevie Nicks, Belinda Carlisle, ect. But to be fair, a lot of times it's record labels/execs that talk them into doing so.
