Just saw them open for Styx and REO in Grand Rapids, Michigan..5/31/22. Solid performance for guys nearing 70 years old. Paul Dean is SEVENTY SIX! Good for them!🎸🤟
Hi! Hi Katie Daryl, This was a very enthusiastic, honest, and interesting Interview. I loved the chemistry you shared with Mike Reno - it brought authenticity to journalism. Mike Reno still sounds like a young man, he has the spirit and the sound of a young person... and you were able to showcase that for the audience of fans. Thank you for sharing. Loved this video!
Saw Loverboy and Dokken in '86 at the Ionia Free Fair in MI. The best and most memorable concert experience I've had. And I've seen a lot of shows back then.
I was born and raised in Vancouver, Canada. I always feel so proud whenever I see Loverboy / Mike Reno in interviews. Same goes for Bryan Adams. Such awesome teenage memories.
Remember meeting Mike backstage at a Wisconsin state fair, Got my little brother backstage and low and behold We also met The Country band Alabama.which were drinkin and krankin out some ZZ Top, Good ole days, good ole Music,Fantastic Memories, Thank you.
What a sweet guy… I just went to the concert last night, lol! It was a blast. So nostalgic, so wonderful… And Mike’s voice is absolutely fabulous. Just like it’s always been. I am a happy camper.
WOW you saw Mike Reno and Loverboy in concert? That is just incredible. I miss their music, and I Love their rock and roll... Mike Reno has a tremendous voice. Loverboy - Young or old, I don't care, he will always be one of the greatest Rock singers.
yeah 1982 was the best year ever. I may just go see this show when they come to Atlantic City. Now i got that song "lovin' every minute of it" in my head.
Mike Reno is a Class Act, and Loverboy is one of the Best! I will be seeing them in CA, and can not wait! I had, " Loving Every Minute Of It" painted on the tailgate of my Lifted Toyota 4x4 in the 80's for the weekend cruises, Best of times! Yes, Styx pun intended. And of coarse, REO blaring out the window!
What a nice fellow,he even had to ask her what she had for breakfast and took an interest in her, seen them in Penticton B.C. with Styx 2 years ago,Larry Gowan on lead vocals with Styx shook that little hockey rink to the core.
I had the good fortune to play golf with Mike back in about 2004. I was a weekend DJ at a Classic Rock station in Bend Oregon and I was the only guy who played golf at the station. I picked Mike up in Redmond Oregon and just the two of us played a par 3 course before their show that evening. He was great. He told me stories of playing with Bill Murray, and life on the road, and his place up in BC. I got backstage passes and hung out with the band in their RV. I'm an old drummer, and Mike and I got along great. He even joked, can we keep him? By the way...he hasn't lost anything with time...his voice sounded great!!!!! Good times.
Great story. Thanks for sharing. I had the opportunity to hang out with the band and found the same thing. Very regular guys and truly interested in what people they are with do. Being a police officer I spent the majority of time telling them stories and answering their questions about stuff. They were just regular guys Was a very cool time.

I listened to Loverboy a lot in my youth and saw them in concert in Eugene Oregon. Reno seems like a great guy. Never followed his history until today. Thanks!
Brings back memories from years and years ago. To keep my past out of a great thing I won't say it . Not the songs or the group it's my past years. Enough on this great band
I saw Loverboy in 79(I think...I'm old) in Buffalo NY ..Rich Stadium.Four Bands at that show, Foreigner(Headliner) Iron Maiden(Sucked..must have been a bad concert for them) Ted Nugent..(Rocked the place) Loverboy absolutely kicked Ass!! So Proud to be Canadian..best live band then.

Seen them in 82 they were very impressive ,mike apparently was impressed with my x gf and said he liked girls like that ,the stage lights came down on her ,and it made me look up for second then i looked down & my xgf magically disappeared? And for the next two weeks afterwards my Xgf suddenly had this bandana and pushed me to wear it. I asked her a day afterwards where did she go ? She said she she fot lost, lol back then i didn't realize what that added up too, i probably wouldn't of been overjoyed & ecstatic back then? But now 40+ yrs later , not thrilled but atleast she partied with a great guy and very talented group , i did even the score with working & being with the wendy of wendys restaurant

Well, to be fair, he uses backing tracks. Lots of lip syncing.
@@hammill444 Um….no. I was in the 15th row, and it was all fresh and nothing was canned.
@@ravenousruby6407Sorry, Ive seen the videos, which are even closer. He’s using tracks. No doubt about it
@@hammill444 LOL! And videos they’re always lip-synching… Get a clue. They do not lip-synch in live performances. Stop arguing with me.
