I wish people who wrote songs like this would become popular again, songs that have a solid melody and an actual meaning in the lyrics. I know there's people out there who still write like that, but the music industry seems to have really lost its way recently. Even when I was a kid in the 2000s, we still had some great singer-songwriters, it's gotten so bad in the past few years. One of these days I'll start digging through my generation's music to find the good stuff. But till then it's all oldies for me.

God as my witness this era of music is missed and highly underrated.!
As a bass player, this song has insanely creative bass tabs. Really great example of "Unique bass phrasing "
Turn me loose has bass that gives me goosebumps. Broken Wings by Mr. Mister also has heavenly bass.
What made music great in the 60s and 80s - bass and keyboard. Loverboy is an incredibly tight band. Reno's voice nails it.
Wow man now I know what it means when my dad says 70’s and 80’s where the best times ever!
Easily one of the BEST rocking tunes of the '80s...SOOOO UNDERRATED!! 💯👊
In high school I camped two days to get tickets and saw them open for Journey in Dallas. Great show. Great bands both. Great music that will never get old.
Man, what a killer show that must’ve been. I wish I could’ve been there.
That's a freaking awesome memory. To have been there!
Ill never forget when we usta camp out for tickets! Thats my favorite memory of the 80s! I camped out with my friend for probably 10 concerts with front row for some! Ill never forget it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Camping out for concert tickets back then was a standard party time, great times
I'm from odessa,tx I seen them in odessa with the turn me loose album, they opened for zz top, we got so baked and rocked all nite ,those 2 shows were fantaboulus
It was a phenomenal time. Arcades, drive-ins, great music, 80s chicks, and parents that were never around cuz they were always working.
Wouldn’t trade that for anything my son has today…. Not even close ♥️♥️
I Totally Agree! My 19 year old son & 21 year old daughter have told me that they wished they grew up in the '80s.
Yeah this generation is toast. Bunch of robots addicted to social media. Pfft
Don’t forget the roller rinks😮
I’m 70 now wow time goes by way to fast one of my favorite songs 👍 I’m in Michigan
im 17 listening to this all the time wishing i was 60 so i couldve been in the amazing 80’s
You've got great taste kiddo!! But don't wish your life away; it goes by way too fast!! 🤟🤟
I know it’s hard buddy, but try to enjoy your youth. You kiddos today are being robbed of your youth but you’re welcome to the 80s crew.
I would kill to be 17 again! Do not wish for something that you already have! Life!
Same only 15 rn
48 I grew up in the 80’s
Im 60. 80's hair bands were the best. Good time's indeed.
One of favorites from the 80's listening again now in 2024
63 years young and still Rocking this classic ❤❤❤
same here - love this song
The vocals are so clear and superior to most singers today
*80s Music Will Always Be My Go To In 2019 - 2020*
And 21, 22, 23, 24, til the day we die.
Forever and always

The 80s the best generation of all times IMO.
I'm 56 as well and still love this tune! Lots of good memories growing up in the 80s.
Im 55 , Is it just me? But everytime I listen to one of these great 80s songs I get very depressed missing those days badly 😢
Definitely one of the best songs from the 80’s. This song still gets to me !!!! 😎
One of the better lover boy songs! Remember when this came out. Man I'm really getting old!

If you're a 60's, 70's or 80's kid just wanna let you know you rock! 👍
How about 50s?
If someone would have told me 35 years ago that Loverboy would be giving a concert tomorrow in my hometown told I’d have said you are cra cra. But, low & behold Mooresville NC, here they come 😅 9.15.23
Loverboy was a huge band for me and still is! I wore out my Keep it Up vinyl out! All their albums were great.
What a great song proud to have been a part of the 80's generation people
the 80s will never end in my honest opinion.music wise that is
Yes !!
+sebs2306live2 80's music will end in the 2030's
+Long love , says you.
Long love
Nawww
It will end for most people in 2030's. Most people don't listen to Jimi Hendrix or Elvis Presly anymore.
This song has everything!!!The vocals and bass riff dominate this song! But the guitar solo and drum jams are fantastic too!! Wow !!
I have always loved Loverboy ever since I was a little kid in the 80's, but I became an even bigger fan after I saw them live over ten years ago. They are so underrated. They have so many amazing songs, and should be in the same level of Journey and other big bands. I love all their songs but this song When It's Over and Turn Me Loose are easily my favorites. MASTERPIECES!!!
JOHN THEY ARE CURRENTLY ON TOUR WITH STYX AND REO SPEEDWAGON HOPEFULLY THEY WILL BE NEAR YOU 😊! I'VE GOT MY TICKETS LOOKING FORWARD TO HAVING A BLAST... TAKE CARE STAY SAFE AND GOD ✝️ BLESS 🕊️ 5JULY22
Strike Zone was a masterpiece too...very underrated band these guys were...
The dude had swag for real 🫡🔥
A complete masterpiece. 80s rule
First time I heard Lover Boy:
1982 at Myrtle Beach, SC.
Some older girls were playing the audio tape. I was immediately smitten by their music.
Loving Every Minute of It by Loverboy reminds me of Myrtle Beach. First heard that one in 85 when my family was on vacation. I was 12. 85 was best summer for me. But this song and Turn me Loose are my favorites ❤
Thank you Canada!!!! For these boys!!👍
Lol, no problem!! We have a ton of bands we're proud of like Rush, The Tragically Hip, and so many more!! 👏👏👍👍🇨🇦🇨🇦❤️❤️
So incredibly nostalgic! Wow, takes me right back to be being a kid ☺
Same here! 1982 to be exact
Back when you had to have Talent.
Loverboy great band out of the greater northwest Vancouver BC love there music and always will. Thanks boys enjoyed the ride 👍😎
80’s Rock= THE BEST!!!
I absolutely love this song , 80S was the shiitttt!!! It just gives some type of vibe.
I have a 2 year old grand daughter and I'm determined to keep this music alive thru her generation
that wont be too hard because the music today is terrible.
Is it truly over, when it's over...? COOL SONG 😎
No music today sounds like this!!! I lived it!!!
They were GREAT. They had a TON of hits too...ALL the songs were killer.
I’m 60 and I always crank this song up
Lover boy and Kim Mitchell played here. This song was sung and they did a great job singing for us. Great concert.
One of the best from the 80's.
LOVE THE CLASSIC RED PANTS! Remembering back in the summer of 1981 when "GET LUCKY" came out! Almost every song on that album was awesome!! Mike Reno was absolutely BLESSED with one of the best voices ever!! RIP SCOTT SMITH.
+dumby account He can't fit in them pants anymore
Johnny Keyz "them pants"....you are a moron !
I can listen to this whole album over and over and I did
@@MrFingers008 I remember an interview Mike Reno did some years back. He said he still wore the same size pants, but back then they were 30-36, now they're 36-30, LOL. Peace, John
Back then you couldn't have a party with out Lover Boy.
Just saw Loverboy last night in Eagle River, Alaska, for the first time - they killed it
When they played It's Over, EVERYONE in the crowd was singing along at the top of their lungs
Amen!
As long as they use laptops for production, IT’S OVER.
Hi everybody, let,s not forget the music way back when, that,s what gave birth to everything we hear today. Peace and love.
Best years ever!.56 and still love to remonous and play it loud!.
Brings bring great memories! When I was a teen I used to belong to the Loverboy Fan Club. They were my favorite band! I used to own all of their albums! Love this song! I miss the 80's music had so much feeling and emotion in it back then! I miss the music of the 80's! Great decade for music for sure!
One of my favorite 80s bands. Music used to be so good it is so horrible today
