RIP Rutger Hauer
Legend.
"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe."
yeah... this.
.... tears in the rain.
He has seen Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion, watched C-beams glitter in the dark, near the Tannhauser gate, so he doesn't need eyes to see anymore
Like tears in the rain.................time to die.
For example?
"Are you sure it goes with your dress?" 🤣👌
Classic scene from a vastly underrated movie.
So underrated on many levels
It's shit
You two are definitely speaking truth; may Rutger rest in power.
@@nancysorto4769 Indeed. It saddens me that Rutger was such a master but was so vastly underutilized during his career. Thankfully, we at least have Blade Runner and this film to remind us of him.
@@davidtatro7457 Ok, now you're gonna make me cry and watch Blade Runner.
I love Blind Fury! Just a great little road movie with Rutger at his most charming.
Road movie ?
The Hitcher
This is about as good a Western version of Zaitochi as we are likely to get.
Ooh top film
I was thinking. . . those guys are lucky it wasn't Zatoichi. They wouldn't get an apology, either, insincere or not.
Blind Fury was good😊
Anybody watching you have to watch Ladyhawke😊😊😊
And Bladerunner.
Some people belittle it but I actually love Ladyhawke 🤭
ladyhawke was a really good movie,, but i think Splitsecont was his best.
Named my first dog after him in Ladyhawk! Lol
Also a good one. Another of his I like is flesh and blood (the rose and the sword.) Paul verhoeven's first English movie.
If chuck norris was blind.
R.I.P. Rutger, you are a legend, from Blade Runner to Lady Hawke.
The movie with Ice Tea.
Lady Hawke is one of the most under-appreciated movies of all time
The Hitcher is my favourite with Rutger. Mention to Sean Bean who was also fantastic in the remake.
@@charmelbhagdath9239 I completely forgot about that movie! Awesome
@@jeffsimard8846 yes excellent film
I always loved his unassuming but totally deliberate "oh..?" after beating everyone up 🤣🤣
That super nostalgia for me. Back in the early 90's I was in a band in Dayton with Paul Vasquez, the dude who put the salsa in Rutger's burrito.
No you weren’t lol
@@tren380 Paul Vasquez lived in Dayton, Ohio when a friend of mine met him. We were all Jethro Tull fans and Paul came with us to a Jethro Tull concert where we talked about getting together and jamming some time. Our first jam session was at Paul's aunt's coffee house and we played some Tull covers, had such a great time that we continued playing and ultimately formed a band called, "Silver, Wood, and Steel". It lasted until I had to let Paul go because his ego was much greater than his talent, and his talent was huge.
Believe it, or don't, I really don't give a shit.
most underrated Rutger film ever!! He was basically Daredevil before Ben Affleck !!!
Bad choreography, not underrated at all.
@@jsmall10671 like you could do better!! 🤣
Nope. Sorry. Meaning no disrespect to the great Rutger Hauer RIP.
This was a lame version of Zatoichi.
@@Rendezman562 jsmall was telling the truth. he doesn't have to do better. this was a lame Zatoichi ripoff.
We all reject Afflec as Daredevil.
One of my all time favorite movies! Love Rutger Hauer R. I. P.
yup, loved the american take on zatoichi character, though my favorite of his stays the Split second and the grossly underrated Hobo with a shotgun /it was a spinoff from tarantinos planet terror, one of the fake movie trailers, and rutger seemed to have his fun in it despite lower production qualities.../
This might be unpopular, but I keep coming back to this scene because of the burrito.
One of the crucial spots in this scene, I swear it!
i like burritos too
Rutger Hauer was helluva tough! Even when he's blind!
Such an underrated movie.
Such a great actor
I recently saw this movie, and it made me angry that I never knew it existed this whole time. One of the best I've seen in ages
It's fabulous!
I miss Rutger. He was such a class act, a good man.
A decent Hollywood take on the Zatoichi classics. Kind of like inspiration taken from 7 Samurai to The Magnificent 7. Enjoyable.
светлая честь и память Рутгер у Хауеру
Zatoichi Van Houten, the Blind Dutchman.
Encounters alligator while walking. "Nice doggie!"
My man Nick was a prisoner of war in Vietnam for ten years, and I’m supposed to believe a bottle of American hot sauce is supposed to be hotter than what he was eating over there?? GET OUTTA HERE.
I worked with a Vietnamese woman. I brought in the hottest sauce that I could find. She acknowledged that it had some heat.
My favorite Rutger Hauer movie
One of my favorite movies of the 80s! Did you know that Rutger Hauer was the inspiration for "The Vampire Lestat?"
Wow that is awesome!
Interview With The Vampire was released in 1976, before Rutger Hauer was in any English language movies, so seems a stretch.
@@randygiles845 in at least one of the books, Anne Rice stated that Lestat looked like Rutger Hauer. But you're right -- "based on" is probably not the right phrase
No I did not. I now have that running through my head “the vampire Lestat, starring Rutger Hauer”.
i miss Rutger
Хороший актер. Один из любимых.
loved this movie as a kid. Not sure I should watch it again 30+ years later 🤣
Good Movie!
" If you could see what I hear " was also a good movie.
This is like a Tim & Eric sketch. I definitely haven't seen all of Rutger's so bad they're good movies.
Try Hobo With a Shotgun.
@@jrbobdobbs5516 I viewed it on the tail end of some lsd one news year's day many years ago. Intense.
The movie deserved a sequel.
Loved that movie. Turned me into a Zatoichi fan.
Same here.
an awesome actor, also brilliant in the hitcher
To this day the scariest movie I’ve ever seen.
@@tomdevlin5412that movie made me sick to my stomach. I mean it was a great movie but dang was it sick
Man, I really gotta watch this movie again. Last time I saw it was on an old VHS tape like 25 years ago :)
One of the best movies ever.
Funny how 80's these 80's film look.
The apostrophe goes before the 8; not after the 0.
@@JanetStarChild Correct. To indicate where something has been omitted. It is 80s plural, not 80's possessive. So '80s, but no one bothers to use the apostrophes anymore.
@@spextrekid9410
Exactly; and I would prefer people not use the apostrophe at all if they don't know where to put it.
He handled the spicy source well probably because he spent a good amount of time in south east Asia eating local food. I loved that movie.
Blind Fury 😆 Rutger Hauer Really Nailed His Character LMAO 🤣😂🤣😂
I loved this movie as a kid!
I loved this movie. Seen it many times.
I wished they had done a couple more sequels back in the day. Rutger was pretty entertaining as the blind swordsman. Movie was set up at the end for a continuation but nothing happened.
Great very underrated movie!! Blind Fury!!
This guy was the Best ❤️
“Blind Fury” is a great movie - seen it several times over the years 👏🏻🥰‼️ Rutgers Hauer is a great actor too!!! Or he was, ‘cause I think he’s gone now. But not forgotten. Watch any movie he’s in and you’d love it, whether he’s the good guy or bad guy. He’s played both.
He's amazing in The Hitcher.
This guy is almost like Kenshi from mortal kombat.
I remember this movie when I was a kid very fun
Those were such light hits they wouldn't knock anyone out.
That's because it's hard to do additional takes if your actors all have concussions. And SAG guidelines also don't approve.
@@SoloPilot6 I've seen way .Oregon realistic hits in plenty of Hollywood movies.
Such a great actor. So many incredible roles. And the soliloquy in Blade Runner was that movie's crowning moment.
As a kid I remembered it being so much better.😂
Good portrayal of bully mentality
Es una buena película quisiera que la pongan toda
That was the saddest burrito I've ever seen.
Love this movie
Have seen it many times
Nice! Great action movie! Thank you!😊
I love this movie!
A super fun and satisfying B movie.
I clicked the LIKE button,, and it knocked me out.
One of my favorite movies
What a great actor!
Brings back all happy memories.
This was a hidden gem on late night cable in the 80s!
This movie was a sleeper classic for me. hadn't seen it till i believe 2019.... on youtube too. Lol
Rutger Hauer is underrated
I love how his Dutch accent is still much more discernable than in his later years. Mushos grah-sias ^^
Hobo With A Shotgun is another good movie of his.
Rutger Hauer would have played a great Thor Odinson back in the day!
Holy cow, I saw this in the theaters like 3.5 decades ago!
He's such a good actor you really believe he's blind
Always enjoyed the, excuse me it was a accident pretense in this scene.
I worked on this movie. Lots of fun.
Great actor and this was one of his best.
Such a good movie
ça a l'air passionnant...
Crazy that I have seen other movies with him in it and never knew he was blind
seen this film, awesome, Rutger Hauer will always be bladrunner !
When he spits the stone right into the kid's forehead.
Our first real Daredevil film
This movie was a very tough exercise in the suspension of disbelief.
Great scene
He only shows tears in the rain, they didn't know
Классный фильм!!! Жили же нормально, ни кто ни кого не трогал!!! Что людям в мире не живётся!!!
I remember watching this as a kid. I think I would've been 11 or 12. I thought it was great at the time, but it was pretty average, really!
The local video shop guy, Erik, (in an independent shop, well before Blockbuster came to my part of London), always used to let me and my younger brother get 12 rated and upwards vids.
My family never had much money in those days, so cinema trips were pretty much out, but my bro and I sure watched a lot of movies on video. Erik always let us rent out an extra for free and gave us movie posters - we thought they looked the nuts in our bedroom. We watched a ton of B movies, too!
Happy times, but long gone now.
I wonder if Erik is still about, he'd be about 70 odd now.
What bully has ever tied his shirt up to expose his midriff
Maybe the same bullies who wear their pants down around the bottom of their asses....?
For those who dont know.
This film is Comedy done for laughs and comc book madness in a very funny hysterical hilarious outrageous way.
After it was made no one couldnt take this film seriously.
Even with that supposed to be Hot Sauce.
He should've asked them: "Didn't, you guys, get the memo?"
That's a good movie
Great movie!
Blind Hobo with a Shotgun never got past the script process.
RIP Rutger.
ZATOICHI - HAUER STYLE 😎✔️
Egad, Rutger was so beautiful! *sigh*
"Ups, i can't see"😖😵💫😹🤣🤡
Rip you dutch legend
"I want more life....father". Roy Batty
An meh Westernized remake of the Zatoichi movies, but Hauer does a really good job with it.
This is so true
If you are interested in this film, you should give the Japanese film series it is based on, "ZATOICHI" a try. I think there are over 10 films, and each one a gem. The actor they cast is really great as a blind swordsman.
Quite an experience to live in fear, isn’t it?
I liked this movie
