I saw one that i don't know the name of but it was really good in a b movie way. they were in the future and played this dangerous sports game.. If they won they were allowed to live underground. the other little known movie was another I forgot the name of too... It was a medieval adventure directed by the same guy that directed Total recall, robocop and Stormship troopers. It had Jenifer Jason leigh in it too. Sort of a violent and trashy medieval movie... but with a decent budget. rutger's best movies were b movies and bizarre shows few people know.

He was famously known for turning down a LOT of films if they didn't interest him, he did not care about the money. he was asked to be in quite a few films that went on to be classics, but if he wasn't interested in the role, he said no and no one could convince him otherwise.
Rutger was definitely one of a kind. His Amazing off the cuff scene in Blade Runner (Tears in Rain ) was unbelievable 👏. Such a shame he is no longer with us. Godspeed Rutger 🙏 🙏. 🇬🇧

I don't know if he used not only his incredibly excellent acting skills, but also his color blindness in this film. I mean, he could actually see, except for colors. His IMDb information didn't say what kind of color blindness he had, since there are several different versions of that too. But may he rest in peace and I hope he's doing well on the other side. And now I feel like watching Blind Fury and Lady Hawk again. Both are wonderful films. Blind Fury is also a bit underrated, although I think it's really good. Even though this one has a pretty traditional action-packed story formula, it doesn't bother me. However, there's also humor in this one, and apparently he also used his mime skills, because I read from his information that he's also done pantomime at one times in the early days of his career. He's one of those gems that aren't many in the film world. Diamond in the rough. :)

My introduction to Rutger was in the TV miniseries INSIDE THE THIRD REICH, as the Nazi architect Albert Speer. For me, one of the greatest performances ever. Riveting.
The Hitcher is one of the most disturbing movies ever. He was amazing in that. And Split Second is one of the best Cheesy B-Movie Buddy flicks you’ll ever see. RIP Mr. Hauer.

There was a 70s German TV comedy with a group establishing a fake bank in order to rob the money transport … to their amazement, the bank was so successful that they made more money with just faking the daily business. Mostly German actors, really funny (for a cheap production) and with (dubbed) Hauer as the lead who was really hilarious. Died too early, this guy.
