    Hey Curly. When you spoke about TIME, it is so true for nurturing and growing healthy natural hair. I used to try and rush thru all my hair day steps without the success that I was longing for. Then I decided to make the process easier by taking my time and extending hair day into two days (sometimes three days) depending on the length of time for each step. Not rushing those steps have helped my hair health and growth immensely. Also when I was rushing it was stressful to me and my hair. Stress is detrimental period. When I saw the video come up I was preparing to do my twists, so I decided to wait until I took a break. HERE I AM. BTW, I am trying msm in my oils again. I thought it was making my hair brittle and I was just ingesting it with juice. Now that I have returned to using it it seems to be working fine. Thanks as always ✌🏾

    I have noticed that for some time my hair has been dry and a bit brittle. I have 4C hair that is low porosity. I agree with castor oil being a good choice for 4c hair to help maintain moisture. Ever since I started using Jamaican Black Castor Oil along with olive oil it has helped tremendously. I make sure my hair is damp first. You have some awesome tips for hair growth. Better than all of the channels I have watched. Even though I have had freeform dreadlocks for 24 years I now found what works the best. Thank you for doing what you do. P.S. I have tried the mayo and it is kinda gross . I prefer avocado and banana. Brightest Blessings Trina

    I am early..I literally had to stay awake waiting for this video.. Thank you CP for the information...
    How can one know when protein is needed, personally i have 4c hair and it seems like it always needs moisture, so how do i know i need protein if my hair is almost always dry
    When adding oils and herbs to your DC together can the moisturizing effect of the oils overshadow the strengthening effect of the herb such that you wont see results of strength?
    And do you need protein treatments when using herbs for strengthening??

    • @vickylane5506
      @vickylane5506 4 роки тому +14

      It seems like your hair is low porosity if it seems to be constantly dry and not retain moisture. Reduce your protein treatments and increase the use of moisturising deep conditioners. You could use a regular conditioner and add oils like olive and coconut oil and honey to turn your conditioner into a moisturising deep condotioner. I hope this helps 😊.

      I'm low porosity and I've accidentally given myself protein overload twice and I think that could be the case with you. I agree with Vicky Lane, reduce your protien treatments. I would also recommend clarifying to remove excess protien. Check all your styling products to see if they contain proteins and take a break from them for a month. Try adding honey to your deep conditioner.

    Hey Farida, nice to have meet you on your channel. Just recently turned into your subbie. I have been watching some vid's but have a question or maybe a challenge to you. Aren't you going to publicize a book with all your hair recipes, tips and tricks or whatever for all gals that struggles with growing hair and retaining the lenght and/or just have a healthy hair; for naturals or relaxed hair, from fine to the coarse 4-type hair. Thanks so so much, you're so lovely and caring. Pink is your color most definitely. Keep posting at UA-cam.
