Hi Can I use your Oil recipe for my low porosity hair or do I need to replace the oils with lighter oils like almond , Gravesend, argan oil etc? I get bad headaches with coco ut oil, and the heavy oils just sit on top of my hair. My hair strand just floats in a glass of water. I have very weak, uncredited for, brittle, dry hair that sheds and thins a lot. My hair makes me depressed. Thanks for your help and your energy.

I never wanted to be, or thought I could be, a DIYer. I followed you for years before I finally gave up with trying to find the “perfect” product and constantly breaking my hair off. Several years ago I started my Ayurvedic journey because of you. My hair was at ear length and balding in other spots. Today, when it is straight, it is at waist length and no more bald patches and it’s so thick I cannot feel my scalp. I owe so much to you. I have prayed and cried many tears because nothing was working for so long. I thank the Lord for allowing me to find you. Your generosity and assistance has far exceeded what you could ever imagine. God bless you and your family, Farida. 💖💕🙏🏽🙏🏽

Brenda Warner I started off making the henna gloss (adding henna, Amla to my conditioner) and then making a paste of garlic/ginger/onion and squeezing the juice from that paste in my glosses and conditioners. And then I started making and using Curly Proverbz’s Super Growth Oil (with henna, fenugreek, MSM, and vitamin C). I was applying it daily to my scalp to my ends with a little bit of water (I’m low porosity so I use a little warm water). Now I apply it every other day. And I braid my hair every night and take it loose in the morning. Once a month I do a full henna mask on my hair and add in the garlic/ginger/onion juice. I started making rice water (boil rice and then take the water that you boiled from the rice and allow the water to ferment for a couple of days) - on wash day I spray my scalp and hair with rice water, put a moisturizing deep conditioner on top of the rice water in my hair and sit under the dryer for 45 minutes and then rinse it all out. I don’t use the henna gloss or mask and rice water at the same time because I’m low porosity so while I’m using henna, I don’t use rice water; and while I’m using rice water no henna. These are the things that helped SO much to grow back my hair and keep it from breaking off. I hope this helps! ❤️❤️

Also, I don’t use traditional shampoos anymore to wash my hair. I only use clays or Ayurvedic herbs or African Black Soap. And recently I’ve discovered Ambunu that is really wonderful! I don’t use anything with silicones so that I don’t have the need to use any harsh cleansers.

Hello, it's so good to hear you have had such great success! I was just wondering, in addition to gaining length have you seen an increase in density? I don't mean just thicker, but overall more strands of hair on your head. Also, have you noticed a change in your hair texture/curl pattern since you have been following the regimen?

Yes I have notice more strands of hair. I naturally have thicker hair but a year in my natural hair journey I came across curly proverbs videos and I started incorporating ayurvedic herbs then I noticed more strands of hair on my head aside being thick. I think my hair pattern has change it's more smoother than it used to be i used to have very kinky hair but I also learnt that when your hair gets longer your curl pattern changes but i also know ayurvedic herbs can also contribute to that

@@abynaagyapong8893 Thank you so much for your prompt reply! In addition to henna, I have used Ayurvedic herbs in the past. I, however; was inconsistent and lacked faith in the process 'for me' to follow thru. Even tho I know it worked well for Farida and a plethora of others, I allowed constant setbacks to stand in the way of my progress. Of course, if you want anything to work you must'nt deter from your actual goal, and I am cognizant of that. I just need to have faith & truly stick to this regimen. I will do this again with the addition of prayer. HAPPY GROWING!😊

Sadly you didn't include henna, which I have been trying to incorporate on a bi-weekly basis. Full on then as a gloss. How often do you suggest co-wash, which I don't currently do. Either shampoo or do bentonite clay.

can u plz take a moment to clarify some things. I know you've posted videos as well as a detailed list on the steps and ingredients for each DIY, but not everything from the videos are in your posted list; for example.... In a video you said camellia oil will be used for sealing, but thats not on ur detailed list. You also mentioned the fenugreek will not be in the hair at the same time as the rw. Were u referring to the fenugreek oil or the butter? So I'm basically looking for clarity on steps and what to use for the following....
    pre-poo- with what?
    2. wash- Is this a co-wash each week?
    3. rinse/dc how long? Heat? Is kelp included?
    4. sealing- Is this the LOC method? Use fenugreek oil, butter,
    or cameilla oil?
Thank you so much in advance for all you do for us. You're the BEST!!!!!!

Thank you so much for this. Could you do a video where you show how you use all of these products, especially styling your hair? This is where I struggle after the washing & conditioning, the styling & daily maintenance of my hair throughout the weeks. I even end up wasting some DIY products bc I’m just not sure how to incorporate it. Thanks 🙏🏽

If anyone can give me advice on where to buy some feel free to give me feedback.

So loving your informative videos. I'm ready to start my journey, but I have one concern...I have long locs. Is the process the same for locs? What about the rice water rinse, I'm thinking more about build up from the rice water? Can you use fenugreek powder added to Rose Mary, peppermint, Black Jamaican castor or tea tree oils?
