@@@cmeeki4 Hi! 🤗 it's always best to infuse the herbs in the oils, a great way to speed infusion is "Double Broiler method". Place water in a pot let it boil, put a glass bowl or stainless steel bowl on top of it, dont let it fall into the pot (in other words the bowl should fit snugly & trap the heat/steam) place the oils & herbs you want to use, you decide on the amount.
Keep flame low & let the ingredients marry for at least 30 mins, remove bowl from the pot, let it cool & cover for 1-2 days. Pour off the oil in a bottle & save the herbs to add to your deep conditioner or mask. Hope that helps, God's blessings & Protection for you + family. 💖🙏

Hi Fareida, just wanted to finally let you know how my hair journey is going. I started around the end of march and I love my results! I have a suggestion for fenugreek tea. I found that I did not like soaking them over night and then using the water. It seemed wasteful for me to throw them away and I didn;t feel like the water was potent enough (also tried boiling). But I found that grinding the seeds much like you would grind coffee beans works even better! Then I would boil for a few minutes, let cool and then strain. The consistency is a little more gooey, but I truly like the effects of it. I was also going through terrible hair shedding until I finally tried onion juice. I am blending an onion with the fenugreek tea made this way and it has STOPPED the shedding. I also had severe split ends damage on the right side of my hair. You could see a big difference between the left and right sides. It was abnormally short and damaged compared to the left side. But thanks to your youtube channel, I have been able to REVERSE these problems and my hair is now almost 100% even and healthy. THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart! I feel more beautiful than ever!

@@Chin715 I started to clarify my hair monthly. I have incorporated fenugreek spray, which is fenugreek seeds soaked in aloe vera juice for a few days and then strained into a spray bottle, as my refresher that I use during the week to refresh my hair. I have set up a schedule to do an ayurvedic treatment every 4 weeks, I use Nupur, which contains 9 ayurvedic herbs. I’ve created and use my own ayurvedic oil where I toast fenugreek seeds and then add castor, grapeseed, almond, olive oil, tea tree, black seed, eucalyptus, vitamin E oils along with hibiscus, alma, cassia powders and let it sit for a week or so and then pour into an applicator bottle and use as my oil. I also will, on occasion, add cassia, henna, and marshmallow root to my store-bought conditioners to make a gloss to deep condition with. I keep a hair journal that allows me to keep track of products and methods that work. I am also consistent. I hope this helps.

Hello from Austria. Thank you for this informativ video. Thanks especially for you saying we should talk to a healthcare provider before using an essential oil. Not everyone can/should use every oil out there. Some essential oils can be downright dangerous to use if you don't know how. For example, peppermint. It's an amazing plant and essential oil. But please, never, ever use it for children under the age of 8. It's been made responsible for sudden childdeath when they're infants. Peppermint is so cooling in/on the body, it literally can stop their breathing.
So, used wisely on our adult hair, let the growth begin! 😊 (sorry for my english)

Hey curly, subbie from Nigeria here and first time commenting (though I subscribed since last month). It's going to be long comment so bear with me.
I just recently did my big chop, prior to that, I was able to grow my relaxed hair to about 14" since 2016. I used to relaxed my hair every 3 months but last year I noticed my hair was shedding more than normal whenever I take out protective styling and wash it so this quarantine period I decided to really get to know my hair and so I made the decision to go natural and cut my hair all off in my room.
I noticed from the floating test that I have low porosity hair.
Prior to cutting my hair, i love to do hot oil treatment before I wash and deep condition (I was using hair mayonnaise as deep conditioner but I stopped it post big chop as I read too much protein is bad for low porosity hair.
I love, have and use plenty oils for it, they include
    Olive oil
    Avocado oil
    Jojoba oil
    Sweet almond oil
    Jamaican black castor oil
Coconut oil (stopped using this recently when I read is not good for low porosity hair)
    Grape seed oil (added recently)
    Black seed oil (added recently)
    Sunflower oil
    Apricot seed oil(recently added)
    Palm kennel oil
    Tea tree essential oil
    Peppermint essential oil
I usually just take about a teaspoon of each with few drops of essential oils, put into a bowl of very hot water and then, apply on my scalp and hair(i recently started scalp massage) and wear a steaming cap for 30mins then wash it out and deep condition then apply shea butter while my hair is damp (I recently stopped shea butter too as I read it is too thick for low porosity hair, I instead got a leave in cream which I apply and then seal with castor oil or any other single oil.
I just want to know if this is okay or the oils are too much? Do you think I should reduce the oils?
Do you think I should start sealing again with shea butter? (I really love shea butter and it is available here in Nigeria)
I recently found your growth oils and I'm glad to say I'm presently infusing it now and also used it last week.
I also got cassia, amla, shikakai and fenugreek.
My NEW regimen (I'm quit lazy) is like this.
I prepoo with fresh aloevera gel, rinse it out, Do the hot oil treatment, wash my hair with black soap (been using that since forever) deep condition with steaming cap for 2 hours. I alternate some times I use either herbs with conditioner or conditioner with honey and aloevera then I rinse it off and dry my hair a little then I go in with leave in cream, 1 type of oil I seal with either castor oil. 2 days after I spritz with water and apply the growth oil, I also spritz water and apply the oil on my scalp when my hair is in protective styling
Please I really need your input, is this okay? I wash every 2 weeks, do you think that is too long? Also sometimes I wash my hair in protective styling after 1 week.
But I generally decided to take down protective styling every 2 weeks (so help me God) unlike before my big chop where I could go up to a month in a protective style without moisturising or anything.

Bunny PJ....I have low porosity hair, and I pre-poo with coconut oil & aloe vera gel. Truly, it made my hair soft & manageable, b/c I was able to detangle after shampooing with a moisturizing shampoo. Try coconut oil for yourself & see if your hair will like it in its natural state?

    • @gloriajjackson5035

Sounds like you have a good routine.....it's basically trial & error & what your hair likes. Use the products & see what works. Yes.....you must balance protein & moisture. "Green Beauty" has some wonderful videos as well. Best wishes growing natural, healthy & long hair!

Looks like you've got it covered girl. Don't worry too much about what works for others or doesn't work for others, it's all about YOUR hair, so try a few things and see what works for you you. I am low porosity too and coconut oil works well as a pre poo for my hair and so does Shea butter. Learn your hair.

great video! curly chemistry on youtube also has a video that offers a scientific explanation of the benefits of essential oils! :) essential oils like peppermint and rosemary have terpenes, which penetrate deep into your skin and reach the hair follicle, directly affecting your hair growth. they still need to be diluted with a carrier oil though

Thank you. I loved that you started the video with the timing for your comments. There is so much to learn and it is sometimes overwhelming. My next "asks" are that you consider re-sorting your videos by "Oil Treatments", "Hair Refreshing Sprays" "Ayurvedic 101" (and even then break that down by powder, supplements, skin care, and even how to make Ayurvedic work on your hair if you have a health condition and cannot ingest some of the herbs and such), "Wash Routines" and "Revisiting the Past"; which takes a look at your much older videos and the product lines you used then. If knowing now what you knew then, would you delete that video, stick with it exactly as it was originally posted or update and tweak just a few steps. Lastly, I don't do all the social media. I just started a UA-cam log in to catch your work. Is there a way for the challenges on IG and FB to get posted here? All the best Goddess. You are an amazing resources for the curly, kinky, coily world.
