I can’t lie Hamza, these videos are so much more helpful to me than the shorter ones. I completely understand why you make those short ones (viewer retention rate, algorithm boost, channel growth) but anyone who seeks self improvement will come to you anyways. These long videos rly speak to me and a lot of others so thx for all ur help anyways

Man im only 15 but youve really made me realise how little discipline there is among most people these days. it almost gives me a sense of imposter syndrome when i beat someone half a foot taller than me in an arm wrestle when i could be working out way more consistently or getting a good grade without studying anywhere near what i could. people think im disciplined when im just not being completely idle. You've really made me want to realise my full potential and get all 9s at gcse so i can take 4 alevels and get more progress on my physique than i already have.
You really remind me of an online version of my best friend, who stopped me from being the weird kid by introducing me to a group of actual relatively high quality guys and showing me how not to be a socially inept dumbass. i went from my primary school teachers thinking i was autistic to a confident young man and that wouldn't have happened without him. i can imagine you doing the same for people that didnt get the same luck i did.
So basically i think youre doing great work for young men and yourself, thank you

This one resonated with me. I’ve been on self-improvement for a few months and this feels like the lowest point I’ve ever been at. Lost almost all of my social life and feeling isolated, small gym gains, but nothing very substantial and I’m working on setting up my business, but it’ll take time before that’ll take off for real. I needed this one..

Started working out 2 years ago when I was 15 and I've started to notice people treating me differently about a year or so into it. Last year in April, I started a coding UA-cam channel and I started it with the expectation of having to do this for atleast 2 years before I see any success. Hope to be in the same position you are in 2-3 years time.

It’s crazy because Ngl I have this feeling we’re I’m going 3 steps forward than 2 steps back , I’ve given up on some of my passions like for fashion and I stopped filming self help videos on my channel because I feel I’m not good enough to speak on things I’m not perfect at . I get so upset that I don’t have that one thing I’m great at . This gives me great insight on inspiration that change and motivation doesn’t happen overnight. We all start from scratch and we can’t downplay the small achievements because they add up to the bigger picture.

One of the things I am most grateful about is that I found Hamza in the early days (Sept 2020), he had about 100 subs. I saw the process this man went through, I feel like I "witnessed" the shadow work of who I truly believe would become one of the most successful people worldwide. I still remember being in the discord lecture about how to become a youtuber, he had 4k subs back then, 2 weeks later he was at 70k. It took him WAY longer to go from 100 to 4k, than from 4k to 70k.
I know maybe I wasnt personally friends with Hamza to see before the UA-cam videos, which probably would have been a clearer picture of the shadow work.

I’ve watched this video twice this week while getting ready. Something about it really hits home. Even though people are seeing the end result, there is so much work behind the scenes that created their success. Like you were saying about Nas, so many people can actually relate to his life before. I’m sure a lot of people didn’t believe he would make it either but he kept going despite everything. Thanks for this video, it really gave me hope to see I’m closer to reaching my goals than I think. Also, I am learning the hard way people do like the flashy, list content type of videos to draw them in. Especially for thumbnails. But it’s worth working on so I can reach my end goal of inspiring people to be more creative. Thank you for the encouragement.

He’s right u know. Think about in like HS. 14-18 are pivotal years. You can start out as a loser freshman and become the boss by senior year. If u start at 18-22 self improvement path you can do the same, but probably faster because u have more time and money. 22-27 are the years where breakthroughs are happening. Nonstop. 1STMAN says 27 is the most dangerous year in a man’s life. The brain is pretty much fully developed by 25. If you haven’t committed to change and begun to put in the work between the years 27-33. You can lose decades to a life of mundane normalcy. I’ve seen it guys that are 40-45 still working jobs high schoolers are at.

This is my 2nd day of working out and I know I have a lot of work to do. This is the 1st time I’ve felt really happy just by myself and doing my own shit. In the past the only time I would get happy was from a girl or from playing video games.

Do you think having this 'prep phase' is better than the cliché 'start now with whatever you have' advice?
I started working out more seriously like two months ago. And i'm still very skinny, however I think i have a lot of good advice to give to people my age, but I planned to start a channel a year from when i started working out, just so that i get the newbie gains and have some "evidance" that my advice is actually good. I also enjoy editing videos and making them which leads me to believe that I can stay consistent enough to see the results.

Iman gadzhi made a super good video called the sling shot effect and it goes over the concept that Hamza talked about. People don’t see the work that goes behind the success. They only see the wins and not the losses.

This is why Jack Harlow and Russ (Not Russ Millions 😂) are some of my biggest inspirations, Jack went from performing shows where no one gave a fuck about him ( a great example is his “Ice Cream Live Performance “ ) Literally people arent even caring that hes on stage to selling out his US tour and having a world number 1 single, and people call him an overnight success, there’s videos of him when he was 12-13 making music videos to now making music videos with his heroes and inspirations
Russ dropped 11 consecutive albums and a single every week for 3-5 years straight and they flopped but now hes built a cult following who love everything he does but people still deem him an overnight success
As Kris from 1stman says “ its an inches game” patience and discipline gets you where you wanna go

So to be an “ overnight success “ it took Jack Harlow 10 years and Russ 12-13,

Basically what he is tryna say is don't beat your shit over someone whos already successful when you're not. A lot of people aren't doing the hard work. You're really doing good man... Give it a few years. And its always the journey to success that makes the destination better. Everyone has a journey.

One of the best parts of these videos are when Hamza makes fun of what people who'd be looking for an argument would say and he just goes, "Shut the fuck up" with utter disgust lol
