I've been fighting this code for months on a 2017 Range Rover Sport with the 3.0 diesel. I had previously been fighting the P0234.77 code, and fixed that with a combination of a MAP sensor replacement, replacing the oil separator, and filing down the throttle disc as you showed here (and other videos.) But this P0006A code kept coming back and I could find no faults. I cleaned both EGR valves in situ, ran a smoke test (no leaks) but no luck. Finally, I bit the bullet and replaced the entire throttle body (it's pretty expensive at GBP 370) and the codes all cleared. The worst part is that Land Rover wanted the core back, which means they're just going to rebuild it and ship that garbage off to somebody else.
@@ORileysAutos Yes, I think I must have filed it down too much, but it kept getting stuck so I'm not sure what else could have been done to make that throttle work.
Berry in depth video I've got this fault but only when I'm driving from idle it's and RP doesn't show up until after 3.5k Rpm so I know the turbo is fine, how much did you charge for this seevice, I think mine is due to the egr valve which you shown...
That’s why I hate when they come in and ask can you do a def regen, you know 90% of the time there’s gonna be other faults and you feel like your mugging them off, love it when they’ve been elsewhere and quoted a national debt
This was an exact issue here. I tried to explain over the phone that there is almost certainly something else causing it but he was adamant that his local garage had checked everything and it was definitely only the dpf needed cleaning. Then I say look there's boost Correlation so gonna need to spend another hour testing and it's extra money. You know they are thinking ok here goes the price bumping trying to make extra money.
I have my Jag XF holding onto gears, randomly. No codes showing. Recently had ZF8 transmission service too. Still holding onto gears.. Been advised possible faulty Maf sensors..Any advice welcome 🙏
Hi all, O'Rileys Autos doesn't cover Newbury, Berkshire. Any good mobile repair services recommendations near Newbury for such kind of "Restricted Performance" repair work you present in this video?

Perhaps P0006A was caused buy filing a bit too much off the disc? Or was that there before that

Looks like someone's been there before! The intercooler intake should be a nut and bolt (8mm and 10mm IIRC), unless it was redesigned on later cars
I'm not sure but it looked original. My guess was that vibrations had caused to it loosen out
Great job boss you have to much information about for dpf great
