I think my favorite parts of the video are when you come so incredibly close to one-shotting certain bosses that you can’t actually see what’s left in their health bars, presumably leaving them in the single digits.
I love that especially because the people like margit and godrick call you foolish and lowly, so you come in and smack their entire soul out for their gall.
Damn it, someone beat me to it!!! I really wanted to attempt a run similar to this but I kept hitting a wall vs Maliketh. Also, really creative thinking with the Winged Greathorn. I would've never thought of that in a thousand years. GG, great video.
Been there and done that at Level 50 by using counter attack and Zweihander. But he has 42% damage absorbtion against all physical damage. That is why it makes it too difficult but not impossible.
Many of his 20s buffs wore off long before he swung the hammer. Just make note of the timer when he applies each of the first few buffs. In many of these boss fights, you can clearly tell buffs had wore off before hitting. Still, great video.
Don't worry he played the game so much more so like every boss he basically knows by heart, for me my NG+ was so much easier and every run after that, I almost never die to most bosses now and I'm not that good at the game to begin with.
If this was canonI would imagine the bosses would communicate after fighting him like, "Dawg he fr walked in here, applied like 50 damage buffs, took 99.9% of my health with one swing and left to get stronger." Like, eventually they'd probably just leave.
You do a really good job of editing streams into content that feels like it was purpose built to be a UA-cam video. Very little downtime, quick cuts when you're farming, very little dead air, all that stuff. Great stuff, dude!
I think this is a hilarious concept for a character. Imagine someone who’s entire life purpose is to one shot every being they fight and if they can’t they just leave and train more until they can.
@@splitzyprime419 that’s not how saitama works? Saitama finds his power boring and has never once struggled in a fight or trained after he got strong. His purpose is not to one shot everyone that’s just something he does.
Knowing all these buffs and utilizing them to break the game was cool and all.... but the real impressive thing about this video is the editing. Just going through that amount of content is insane enough but you got a lot of funny moments and process moments into the video too. Thanks so much for the effort on both the gameplay and videomaking!!
Imagine a dude in a loincloth with a massive hammer approaching you saying, "Drink, vow, flame, throw that." as he poisons, impales, and inflicts madness on himself. I think I would run.
He then proceeds to land a single hit that shatters every bone in your body and leaves you barely clinging to life. You could be killed by a mosquito bite at this point, and yet he only says "hmm, that won't do" and disappears.
im surprised he never used howl of shabriri since that's like a straight up 20-30% damage buff, stacked with madness buildup and black dumpling would probably have insane results
bushy: uses almost an entire set of copious and numerous buffs while mid combat with a rapidly attacking foe me: can barely drink one flask of wondrous physick while fighting an enemy that takes twelve seconds to swing their first attack
Idea, don't know how original it is: "Can you beat Elden Ring by turning it into a boss rush?" You can only kill, directly, the bosses. You cannot pick up any weapons or armor that do not come from bosses (so, you can't pick up armor you find on a body, but you can buy boss armor after beating them from the old finger maiden lady) and you can only level up with runes you obtain from beating bosses.
pretty good idea, I mean challenge runs basically are already just boss rushes other than all the items they need to run somewhere to get. But yea putting those exact restrictions on it would be pretty fun to watch
the only criticism I had was that the bewitching branch for Niall didn't feel right or necessary...mainly because the sword soldier did respectable damage to Niall, but also because he only needed to survive after the first hit and Niall would phase transition anyway and despawn the knights. Maybe all he needed to do was use knights resolve before entering the fog but I don't know if it would run out before reaching Niall
@@AgeofJP my only argument against that would be he did more than enough damage to make up for the knight. And since it wasn't HIS summon he should be fine since he didn't directly do any damage
@@Picmanreborn The first part's valid, but the argument that just because it wasn't his summon it's fine is a little shaky at best. Since by that logic any enemies with friendly fire enabled are fair game to just pit against each other until they're at 1 hp for you to 'one shot', which I think is pretty majorly against the spirit of the challenge.
@@MoonPatch id say it's fine because he would have clearly done WAY more than enough damage if he got the chance for two clean hits, the soldiers were just fucking it up

I must say I really wanna go play Elden ring after this the fact you knew all the buffs and items screams dedication, and shows just how unique each run can be in terms of setup and how to beat bosses. This was hands down better and more fun to watch than dark souls 1 shots.
I had never played a FromSoft game and I got Elden Ring and had a blast. I would say the best advice is find a weapon/spell or a set if armor that you are cool with using the rest of the game and work towards using that.
Honestly, I don't even care how you ended up doing it in the end. I just find it so amazing that with the right knowledge of the game's mechanics and different item synergies, you can trivialize even the final two bosses of the game with a single attack (even if it would realistically take more time to set up than it would to just beat them legit lol)
yea, it amazes me that From has managed to fill this game with so many items and talismans, weapons, weapon arts, perfumes, spells, ect that make runs like this even possible in the first place

At the very beginning I was thinking "If this character isn't named after OPM, I'm gonna baby rage the comment section, idgaf." Glad to see a man of culture. The bald head is good enough. Also, it's a shame you can't literally punch those high numbers, but wielding a comically oversized hammer surely is the next best thing. OPM himself would wield it like it's made of styrophoam. 40:46 Look, I know you can decide your own rules, and "that's not the definition we've been using" is a legitimate argument *for this run* . Despite all that, if we're talking purely phase change mechanics, an added move is *definitely* a phase change. That's just a matter of fact. Even if there's no cutscene and all the boss does once its HP passes the 50% threshold, is adjust their hat and say "hmpf", *this counts as a phase change* just as much as a cutscene does. Again, it's fine to not count it for whatever arbitrary reason, but given how I understood the self-imposed rules to work, I did want to point it out. If that's not a phase change, then neither is a cutscene, and you're going to have to even discount form changes even if their abilities remain the same, so you'd just be opening a can om worms.
I can’t believe how many tools I’ve been sleeping on. The debuffer thing seems hella useful even casually since a lot of bosses start far away and love to invade your space.
And he didn’t even beat the fire giant according to the challenge’s rules. Fire Giant is a two phase boss, not three. It took him three hits to kill it
Here's my theory as to why the Regal Ancestor got killed the 2nd time but not the first: Okay, so we have two things here. If it's standing in water, any kind of water, that's a 10% fire resistance. So, if it didn't have that additional fire resistance, it might have died the first time. It might also be likely it was hit during a counter frame in the second time!
Not sure if you'd consider it a "one shot" since technically Dragon Lightning hits multiple times. But well....Comet Azure also hit multiple times so i guess it counts?

Elden beast does have a second phase though. After the half point his AOE gains two rings, he gains the crucifix attack, he gains elden stars (like you mentioned), and his sword summon ability gets longer I’m pretty sure. Either way, loved the vid, you got my sub.
You have NO idea how much it bothers me that we only have 4 talisman slots. Not ONLY because of my OCD, since 5 would complete it into the 5x5 bar, but also because of just HOW FREQUENTLY I could've had a satisfying build when I'm torn between 2 talismans for the 4th slot.
@@I_am_a_cat_ I understand that, & I'm not saying we SHOULD have a 5th talisman slot, cause that'll probably be in the DLC. I'm just pointing out that having a 5th one would cause me less mental stress when I open my equipment menu.
I feel like this is like that time in the one dragonball movie where, to beat a super namekian, piccolo lets himself get grabbed and nearly crushed, then rips his own ears off, and tells gohan to whistle. That's what this build is.

I think it's just one of those things in game that works different mechanically than it does lore wise besides the people we see afflicted with scarlet rot could be more advanced then when we get affected by it their version could be terminal and all they can do is stage it off with needles of unalloyed gold
Thats one of those things thats cool from a lore perspective but from a gameplay perspective would just ruin the fun if you couldnt fix the debuff. Imagine getting rotted, living, going to rest at a grace and save, then getting back up and realizing your health is still draining. I dont think id even finish the game just out of spite💀
I love watching these, I'm not good at elden ring I've beat elden beast twice and I deicide to do a random build playthrough inspired by your videos and it's fun, hard but fun to do. Keep it up man love the content
Just so you know, the times where you’re one shotting them and they’re surviving with nothing left in their health bar, it isn’t because you’re not doing enough damage per se. That’s an in game mechanic that can happen for the player too Also some buffs don’t stack on top of each other, which is why the jellyfish shield didn’t change anything
This is the reason I decided to finally play elden ring, thank you so much. I'm already 40 hours in with astel, Margit, godrick, renala, Redhan and all of rannis questline done. I wouldn't have started this amazing journey if I hadn't seen this stupidly funny video. Edit: I beat the elden beast and am now into my second playthrough.

7:55 Based on how hard it was to oneshot the first boss I gotta say I agree with him. No way you can beat the final bosses without comet azur. But I am looking forward to be potentially proven otherwise since the video was made so you're bound to have beaten quite a few at least. edit: Well i'll be damned, you might not have been able to do it without azur but this was insane, I did not expect it to go this well as it did. Well done! I really like how every time I watch someone do a challenge run where you just need to finish the game it still ends up with them having to explore every location of the world for their setup and it takes so incredibly long. The dedication to the content.
I know it's a year later but I consider Elden Beast going into a 2nd phase when he does the triple halo. He's capable of doing the standard single halo move all the way through the fight but if you consider a phase change being either an increase of power or a change up of moveset, I'd definitely say Elden Beast has two phases. Also not 100% sure but isn't that hand star launcher thing he does only a move that happens after half his health is gone?
@@ohhhpleasure4926 no, because that goes for bosses like Margit. he only starts using his hammer attacks after half health, yet he was considered a one phase boss for this video. it's the exact same with Radahn, it's just that Radahn's sky meteor attack is very rarely repeated.
@@RalorPenwat no, Margit's hammer is scripted for when he reaches half health just like Radahn's meteor is. both can continue to use it throughout the fight. the only difference is that Radahn usually doesn't do it unless you take a long while to kill him.

Idea, don't know how original it is: "Can you beat Elden Ring by turning it into a boss rush?"
You can only kill, directly, the bosses. You cannot pick up any weapons or armor that do not come from bosses (so, you can't pick up armor you find on a body, but you can buy boss armor after beating them from the old finger maiden lady) and you can only level up with runes you obtain from beating bosses.

Godrick is full 1 shot-able without cutscene. Dragon lightning if I recall correctly. Cool run either way.

@@ohhhpleasure4926 no, because that goes for bosses like Margit. he only starts using his hammer attacks after half health, yet he was considered a one phase boss for this video. it's the exact same with Radahn, it's just that Radahn's sky meteor attack is very rarely repeated.
Yeah but there's also a clear difference between the two. One is a scripted event, the other is integrated into the moveset
@@RalorPenwat no, Margit's hammer is scripted for when he reaches half health just like Radahn's meteor is. both can continue to use it throughout the fight. the only difference is that Radahn usually doesn't do it unless you take a long while to kill him.
@@thefolder69 Yeah, because the hammer gets properly integrated into Margit's moveset. Radahn's meteor crash is something he does almost as if he's on a timer. It's more like an enrage mech at that point.
Gideon, after being squashed for 7k damage: "I know...in my bones..."
What bones?
That 1HP thing is a mechanic in the game. And its infuriating. I'm so glad you slapped that one out of the way hahaha well done bro
yeah, is really annoying when fighting a lot of mobs, cuz like that 1 HP can be the diference between life and death
I beat elden beast with 1HP left and no heals 😂 I was a little drunk that night. On my 4th playthrough
Nonsense, there is zero evidence for this "theory" beyond some anecdotes...
I laughed every time the one shot killed a boss. Actually amazing and quite stunning.
