Forti has 40% fire resistance too! However, oil pots buff one instance of fire damage by 50%. His head is a weak point that allows double damage: Bushy's shot narrowly managed to connect with the head. Together with all of Bushy's buffs, he overshot Forti's healtbar by over 1000 points. If had hadn't hit Forti right in the face I think he "only" would've done about 6500 damage which is a lot but not enough to kill him instantly.
Honestly, shields are kinda cracked. Remember watching Gino do a shields run, and it kinda wrecked a lot of bosses. Admittedly he is Gino, so might not be quite as broken for the average player, but could definitely see Bushy killing it

This has me wondering, what's the minimum number of attacks needed to beat the entire game? Like, say you find a weapon/spell that one shots everything, how many times do you need to actually use it in order to get from character creation to credits?
I know the any% speedrun is already very few attacks. I feel like it's however many one-shots you need to kill the remembrance bosses, plus any enemies guarding them.
Well going by Bushy's main one-shot challenge it was: 1 for a scarab to get Determination 1 for a Death Rite Bird to get Red-feathered Branchsword 1 for a Godrick Knight to get Golden Vow 1 for an indeterminate number of Land Octopuses to get ingredients for Bloodboil Aromatic (assuming he killed one for each time he needed a a blood boil I think that’d add maybe 5-6 attacks) 1 for an indeterminate number of First-gen Albinaurics to get the Black Dumpling helmet (drop rate is only 0.5% which means he probably had to kill a lot of them let’s assume 10) 1 for Margit 2 for Godrick, once per phase You can choose another shardbearer, but Radahn only needs two hits while for Renalla you need to hit her dog, then hit at least three of her scholars and THEN hit her twice. 1 for a Rotten Avatar to get the Flame tear 1 for the Regal Ancestor Spirit 1 for the Mimic Tear 2 for the Valiant Gargoyles 5 for Fia’s Champions 1 for Golden Shade Godfrey 2 for Morgott 2 for the Kindred of Exultation kindreds 1 for the Lord of Blood’s Exultation NPC 3 for Niall and his ads 1 for the Nameless White Mask NPC 3 for Fire Giant 3 for Godskin Duo 2 for Maliketh 1 for Gideon 1 for O’Niel 2 for Godfrey 2 for the Academy Crystal Cave crystallizes to get Terra Magica 2 for the Nox swordstress and monk to get Lusat’s staff 1 for the Putrid Tree Spirit to get the Cerulean Hidden Tear 2 for Radagon 1 for Elden Beast (using Comet Azur) So, give or take, it’d take 60-65 individual attacks to beat Elden Ring.
