Actually yeah I think I might’ve found this video cuz of auto play. All I know is I either woke up to it or clicked on it right after waking up and that’s how I ended up on it lol. UA-cam 100% knows when people are asleep and serves them a certain type of video. I would have liked to have seen Hoarah Loux's Earthshaker ash of war from his remembrance against the final boss after how poorly the prosthesis had been performing. This was maybe the most fun run I watched because of how many different builds it used with solely unique attacks. It was like watching a different run every region, and you could get a feel for a different side of each build since it was only using skills and no regular attacks. It really showcased how good they were. Thanks also for the godlike editing.

You should post a tutorial type video for how you take your routes in the game, ive been binge watching your a lot and was thinking it would be nice to learn the routes to ceratins mines or tears and spells that you go through usually and itll be easier to search it up if its in a video format. I like that you kept true to the spirit of the challenge by relying on Ashes of War for a lot of the early damage even when you could technically wield basic weapons. Lots of fun techniques and workarounds
With the Spearcall Ritual AOW, you gotta remember that it seems to primarily hit on the ground so we have no way of knowing how good the AOW actually is.
The talk about ring arcs reminds me that I never used them because I never found the entrance to the place that you unlock the ability to equip great runes, so I just never bothered
That gives me anxiety lmao. I can’t imagine not being bothered about never finding out about one of the most major locations in the game. I guess that means you could never use any of the armor or items from the bosses either, damn. The rune arcs aren’t crazy, I’ve only used them once so far but missing out on idk 50% of all the best equipment would be an insane handicap.

the description of the cragblade does actually give a good idea of what it is visually. it is a sword made out of gravel stones, aka stones that are implied to be the scales of ancient dragons, infused with Placidusax's power via remembrance, or just outright formed via his power and remembrance.
Blasphemous Blade and black knife tiche, if you get the summon to knock her over you can use the ash of war over and over, and sometimes I'll get half of her health gone in 1 go. So use this thing that I found on my first run with you god knowledge of the game(it's kind of a timed thing, where you see her knocked over, you do it, gover forward do it again and if you're lucky you can do it a 3rd time)
My brother and I were actually thinking of doing a run like this but we got sidetracked. Might try it out now that you've done it! Edit: We beat it after many, many painful attempts at RadaBeast, which was the only truly challenging fight of the run, but man, it was brutally challenging.

Was doing a greatsheild and broadsword build. Dual Gargoyle. Used spectral spear on Patches spear. Never have to worry about a dragon, ancient dragon, Malaketh, or death bird being annoying ever again.
For the nights cavalry on the way to rold lift, I’ve cheesed him the last three times in a row in normal combat just trying to fight him. He usually ends up hurling himself off a cliff without a huge amount of setup if you just fight him in his normal aread
Speaking of not wanting to evaporate radahn's health bar in phase one that's exactly how I beat him on my first playthrough using pre nerf SoNaF's Laser to just shred through his entire health bar before he even phase transitioned
My first playthrough I used Spectral lance almost exclusively, so this makes me happy. It's a poise damage monster. 99 arcane and the damage isn't bad either.
something I noticed a while back is that an ash of war skill will always do more damage on its associated affinity regardless of how well your build scales that affinity, UNLESS it's a skill that takes your weapon's actual attack power into account. So a strength affinity weapon with sacred blade will do less damage on an 80 strength build than it would with a sacred affinity, even though the strength version does benefit from strength scaling, and the sacred version is barely being scaled at all.
The math is quite a bit more complicated than that. It's a semi-reliable rule of thumb, but entire weapon art classes bypass that. Chrightt for example has one pretty good vid that opens the code lasagna of excessive and redundant factors that is ER stat math.
@@qwormuli77well you seem to know a lot about the ridiculous damage calculations. Can I ask, do you have any idea why equipping godfrey icon was lowering my damage on the stars of ruin spell? I just hit 80 int so I was testing everything and I found that with 80 int and using both lusats crown and staff for absurd damage right around 2500-2600 damage the stars of ruin spell seems to break. I wasn’t even using any buffs that I think are over writable, just equipment and talismans. But like having godfrey icon equipped literally lowered the damage than when I just left that slot empty. And even Terra magicka should have been a huge boost but would buff it from 2550 to say 2600. It literally seemed like there’s an upper damage cap because no combination of buffs could go much above 2600 even though I was very near 2600 with basic equipment buffs. I guess it might be impossible to explain without you physically seeing everything but damn it really felt off and like a glitch
@@monhi64 I'll have to say, not only does that feel like a bug, it also sounds like one. Stars of ruin is a multi-hit attack, which have some screwy scaling both with damage increases and multipliers, owing to how the compete with the target's flat resists. But those don't include any damage instance caps, as far as I'm aware of. Godfrey icon itself shouldn't touch uncharged versions at all for example. Did you try to cast it uncharged with the same presumably buggy setup to compare the charged damage to? Because the only thing coming to mind is that you somehow are comparing charged damage without Gofrey Icon to uncharged damage with it (where it doesn't help) or something similar.
