- NEW COBRA KING TOUR IRONS... I HONESTLY DID'T EXPECT THIS... 2020 Has seen some incredible cobra golf clubs, including the Cobra Speedzone Driver, Cobra Speedzone Xtreme driver... the Cobra Speedzone fairways and Speedzone irons... Players like Rickie Fowler and Bryson DeChambeau are using cobra clubs to great success... but now we see something which I didn't expect to come... the brand new 2021 Cobra King Tour irons... these look SO GOOD down at the ball, could they potentially be the best new irons of 2020? the best irons of 2020? the best irons for mid handicap golfers? the best irons for low handicap golfers? who should use tour irons? in this video I test out these new irons... and I was a little shocked... let's do it... and let's do it now!

Never in a million years would I have gone for my last club fit and asked to try the Cobra Forged Tec - 2 hours later I walked out having ordered a full set. For me they were the best fit and since they’ve gone in the bag they’ve been brilliant!
Tried out some Cobra forged tec last week at two different stockists. Loved the feel. However they only had the 7 iron ( I'm a lefty) . Difficult to commit to laying out a grand based on one generally easy to hit club off a mat. One place the dispersion was unbelievably accurate, the other place less so so made a 2 degree adjustment. So now I don't know what's best for me! Where do I go from here?!!!
These look absolutely quality ! James can't believe you've not given cobra irons a chance, I've got the cobra forged tours from a couple year back and I absolutely love them. A comparison video of them and these newer models would be really interesting! Great vid mate 👍
I’ve just moved over to Cobra SZ’s. Hadn’t really considered Cobra in the past but now have a full bag (except my putter!) - even a 58 MIM wedge. Absolutely love them. Was previously TM driver and 3 wood and Mizuno irons. 👍👍👍
I'm a beginner and recently demo'd for two weeks, the new Callaway Big Bertha B21s and the Cobra SZs. LOVED the SZs, not so much the Berthas. I wonder if these Tour irons are more suited for the scratch or low handicap player?
I was fitted last fall for the F9 Cobra irons and absolutely love them handicap came down from 9 to 7 . Very solid feel when struck correctly and feedback is good on mishits. Can’t wait to try these
I have the forged tec tours love them to bits best irons I have had, been waiting for the predecessors for a while now and they look oh so good
I have a set of the Cobra King f8 irons and I absolutely love them. Brilliant ball flight, brilliant feel off the club face and they look stunning as well. Love a Cobra iron 😂

They honestly sound like the perfect irons for me. I like the tour look of my MB's and I can game them but I need the forgiveness of my cavity back tech filled irons. I will definitely give these a look.

I’ve been playing Cobra FlyZ+ irons for 4 years and still nothing has beaten them for me yet!
I had NO intention of Cobra when I went for my fitting but thank god I was open minded!

Mark, did you ever move on from the FlyZ’s. I played them 8 years and finally thought it was time to trade them in. Went with Titleist T200’s and I miss my FlyZ’s pretty badly. If you moved on, what did you get? Are they holding up/comparing?
Looking forward to seeing how they perform on the golf course! I went for a fitting for new irons about a month ago and the Cobra Speedzones were by far the best for me. Placed the order. 3 or 4 days later get a call to say discontinued. Was gutted. Went back for another fitting and have ended up with Titliest but seeing these makes me think I should have waited a little while. Keep the great content coming 👍
I have f8 fairway woods and baffler 4 and 5 hybrids. Will definitely look at these next iron replacement. Thanks for the video. I enjoy the content
Would love to see a compare with the iron it replaces the Cobra king forged tour. Gaming them at the moment would be nice to know if its worth an upgrade.

Great review James, get them out on the course! I love my cobra forged CB/MB set. They've made great looking and feeling players irons for a while you just don't see them anywhere. And don't forget the price RRP £200 - 300 less than a set of Taylor made or Mizunos.
Your reaction with the 1st 5 Iron shot was the exact same reaction I had the first time I hit the 7 Iron in a shop.
Went into American Golf for a new set of clubs with no expectations. Had the Taylormade M2’s in mind but wasn’t fixed on anything. Left an hour later with a set of Cobra F7’s, and an F9 driver and 3 wood... wouldn’t change them for the world. Love the feel and weight of them, perfect for my game, Won’t be changing them in a hurry. Don’t know what I was looking for that day but never expected to walk out with almost an entire bag of Cobra clubs. I think for playability and value for money, they are a very underrated brand.
last Cobra irons i had were the old BioCell's and they were forgiven, but these look stunning... but i think ur right about the old pro shop visit.. most ask for ping, titleist, taylormade or callaway

cobra used to have a mb/cb model in black and they were stunning but rarely saw them but these looks great
As an owner of said mentioned ap2 (718), it would be great to see them compared. The 718 are a lot more forgiving (as much as they can be) than what they look and hopefully cobra have nailed that with these too.
Great review, and glad to watch the surprise you had in how well you were striking them! I have the F9s that I love .. and bad hits or results are all on me .. blame the mechanic, not the tool! Lol
Great that you like them and Cobra are releasing clubs again. What players are they aimed at? And what irons are their peers?

Great review James, be great to see them on the actual course maybe play 2 balls for every shot for 3 holes one shot with those and other shot with your current clubs ball for each iron 👍🏻🏌🏻♂️⛳️
The best are the forged tec 2018 when it comes too feel,so far... hopefully these will take the win

I’ve had the mim wedges for 6 months now , and they are better feeling than any forged wedge I’ve ever tested . 😉🏌️♂️⛳️🍻
I ordered a set of cobra king forged tec irons and received them 2 weeks ago. They feel and sound amazing even on miss hits. I also ordered three mim wedges in black again amazing. James MIM means metal injection moulding so you are correct higher temperature and the metal is injected in the forging process. If you are in the market for new irons I would suggest a look at Cobra the tech and feel are incredible.
I walked in to buy Ping G710 irons, walked out with Cobra Speedzone, shocker to say the least. Played all season with them and they will not be replaced in my bag anytime soon.
I haven't hit these irons but I purchased the cobra forged tecs and those irons are absolutely pure. I actually gamed them for about 2 months before I passed them to my son to play high-school comps. Plus he is a much better golfer than me, so my wife promptly buys me the cobra f9 speedback in my specs. Wasn't out of love she came right out and said there's no way I'm spending that much on clubs again lol
I do like cobra gear tbf 👍 might be in the market for new irons next year so could get a trial
Know what you mean about Cobra but just changed my irons to forged etc one length and included wedges , hybrid and 3 wood and have not looked back the irons and hybrid are just awesome. Would recommend most people give one length a shot even my friends are looking

I think the irons might be like the speed zone drivers. People don't give them much of a chance but if they do hit them they're great
Cobra is great even the m speed drivers back in 2005 still is a grip and ripper they fly so straight if you seeking accuracy... cobra has always Ben good with me I only Ben playing for three years and tried many brands and owned many brands and I must say cobra has the win for me... great for all timers of golfers .. dependable cobra be/is...

They look amazing - let's compare them to the T100/T100s and the Mizuno MMCs - and they do look very similar to the original 710 AP2s with the insert behind the face and the Tungsten
I would mix the lower irons 8-pw with Corbra forged tec 4-7. The forged tec kick arse and combining these would make a killer set.
I really like the look of these irons. I have a set of Cobra Amp Forged and F7 irons. Love the irons, but don't care for the orange color in the cavity backs.
4 guys in my group now are playing Cobra irons...I play the F9 driver with Srixon irons...

Swinging easy today I see. Big Al was knocking the 7 iron out to 200 yards. I was all set to go and have a fitting between the P770, JPX921 & Srixon Z series and now Cobra go and do this.
I've upgraded my bag this year and gone full cobra irons, hybrid and Driver after fittings for everything. Not sure why people don't give them a chance, they were a lot better performance for me and a better price than TaylorMade etc.
Love Cobra woods, why would it be any different with these new irons. Will give them a try for sure! Would like to see you test them against your gamers! Great stuff keep it up y’all!!

I actually was upset my two local fitters didn't carry cobra. I wanted to hit the forged CB MB combo. Would gladly try these, and whatever comes out next in the players category
Yes, a playtest. Play a round or 9 with your driver. Play two approaches, one with your current irons and the other with the King Cobra Tours

Would love to know how they perform on course, it's those random flyers that you get from these tech packed irons, that puts me off ? But the accuracy compared to blades has made me really think about changing.
Correct golf is all misses... us mere mortals need something that looks great, gives us distance and most importantly is quite forgiving with poor strikes! Great review 👌

You're wrong XD I walked into American Golf last year and said, "Do you have the new Cobra irons?". Walked out with a set of F7's and a matching 60 degree wedge. Have never looked back.

Cobra have really upped their game of late,. I play with speedzone woods and they're amazing. Unfortunately or fortunately I play with mizuno 921 irons which are superb but would definitely have given the king irons a go if they had been available. Keep up the great work James. I think you were having as much fun with your clothes on as possibly allowed on UA-cam. Cheers 🍻

I was a never a cobra guy but after demo the drive and 3 wood I made the switch to both I would mine demoing the irons and Mybe switching to them

Cobra irons have been underrated for years, particularly for mid to high handicappers.
I love my forged tec Black irons im a low spin player too but I dont find i get the flyers much. I wouldn't have thought of cobra but i tried everything on my custom fit and there was no comparison

Put them up against the Mizzy 919 or 921 forged in a course clog. You and Chris. Play 6 holes. You start with mizzy and Chris with cobra then switch after 3 holes.

Hi, I like my F6 irons but after upgrading the Driver to a SpeedZone Xtreme I'm now thinking about upgrading the irons. Do these have mid/high handicap improvement versions? PS. What you done to Spriggsy? Locked him away until spring?
My Penzance pubs' locals decided to take up golf to cut down drinking on Sundays (like that was ever going to work) So we started at Hayle golf centre as they have a good 12hole practice course and free club rental. After getting measured I bought a set of old Cobra King oversize irons which were great. When I decided to bite the bullet and buy new clubs I plumbed for Wilson D7's. I wish those Cobras had been available last year! Does the 'Tour' refer to the face size do you think as they look smaller than my D7's.
