If you don’t know me, I started playing golf from 10 years old, turned professional at 22 in the UK, and have been creating entertaining and informative golf content on different platforms for the last 10 years. So, many sources say the 7 iron is 34 degrees - including an offical sell sheet from Cobra, MyGolfSpy and so on... however, other sources says 33! 😂
So, It’s one or the other!
Cobra website said 33 degree 7 iron as of 5 mins ago. 🤷🏻♂️
Why don’t brands just put the loft on the club like wedges instead of a 7 which is really a 6. Be easier to gap also. Waffles

I have played like 5 different sets of irons over the last 3 years as I like to switch things up every so often… irons I have gamed include the p790, Apex 19 pro, zx7, t100s and now the mim and I have to say out of all those irons I have games in the last couple years the MIMs are 100% my favorite and have been in the bag for about 6 months now and I have no intention of changing anytime soon as I am playing better now then I have in the last 4-5 years with these irons! The feel, sound, yardage are all spot on for me and I absolutely love them! Cobra is stepping up their game the last couple years and I’m loving it! 🙂⛳️🤙🏼
Al had to show great restraint and not say “If these perform as well as they look, I will pet a live Cobra.” 😀😅

Cobra clubs are amazing. I have the F9 one length in my bag along with an F7 Plus driver and F8 3 and 5 wood. I love the way they all feel. Super forgiving and distance is phenomenal.
Cobra have made some beautiful irons over the years. Have a set of S3Pros. They just look so good. Still bring them out every now and then to reminisce.
The last one the forged tour was incredible. It ticked every single box I'm surprised it didn't do better. This one looks amazing.
They remind me of the Titleist 710 AP2s (the originals) with the plastic/rubber insert behind the face. I still have mine and turned them into a 1/2 set Sunday bag.

How you like them!? I’m about to get a set! Can’t decide on wedges! Cleveland RTX4, MIM or Bettinardi 3.0! Haven’t been a fan of the latest Vokeys on feel.
@@LifeLover2020 I have mim irons too, love em, no offset. also the wedges feel like zero offset, i really like the look compared to my mizunos... i just bought em though so likely not gonna change any time soon i dont think.
@@jergernice1 Nice to hear! I ended up getting the MIMs. Love them! Have bigger grips than my last set and that’s honestly taken a bit to adjust to.

😂👌🏻.. Good review and funny. I play with Titleist AP2 irons with same loft. These clubs I would definitely consider as I nearly purchased the Cobra Forged Tec irons when I got my Titleist Irons 👏🏽
Well it's a good thing I have my 20 year old XXIOs, claw undercut, graphite super light shafts with an offset that is, well upsetting to some, and with a thick top line. Heads are huge and I love them to bits. I got 3-PW and the A and S wedges. These wedges are awesome, nothing compares. New Kings look ok.
Great honest review mate ...This video has made me think of swapping out my wilson staff model blades for a set of these beauties 🤔
Very happy with current cobra irons, now I have seen some tests ,must go and check them out.
I've played Mizuno MP3022 years and T100S for last two years but I can say with confidence KING TOUR MIM irons fit my eye but ARE MORE FORGIVING and feel great. This is very unique the look and feedback of players cavity backed iron but with some forgiveness. WINNING COMBINATION IMO Thicker top line by a bit but the forgiveness with feel * look is great.

Really like to see Cobra getting some love. Like you mention, seem they get very overlooked. Love the forged blades and MiM wedges are lethal.

I have the 2008 AP2s ... which I think were the original ap2s. They look quite similar to these new cobras ... But think the 2010 AP2s look even more similar.
My Wilson V6 7i is 35 deg so these are slightly stronger. I think 33 is about right as I also have the Callaway Apex which is 31, a whole club stronger..the inbetweener..
Played mb, cb titleist, nike blades, p760' Callaway mb, Wilson blades, Miura and mizuno. Best irons by a margin.
Very very nice look very similar to my old AP2s 714. Shinier though 😋
cobra gear really suprising me of late, love my cobra irons! had no intentions of getting cobras but felt too good at the fitting.

Have been playing the MIM black irons and loving them. Not in the market for new irons at the moment i have been playing my best golf with these Hogan PTx pros, but I am sure this won't be their last release.
So - im still using my old Nike V-Pro Combos - Al - if i send you my clubs - will you compare my current set to this set :)
So I tried buying these used to try em and bought another set (I’m team titleist for over a decade) I got the forged Tec(they aren’t bad honestly)
But I so wanted to give these a go against my t100s lol.

Callaway rogue pros in the bag at the mo, are these a decent progression? They need to come out in black though, and given how Cobra have been with other clubs, I'm guessing they will in due course.

BTW, Metal Injection Molding just sounds like a new spin on an old tech. We used to call them cast irons, as in casting, as in steel RSJs melted and injected (poured) into a mold 😅

Clubs look great but I am confused on the carry #'s. Carry #'s just seemed long to me. Ran the averages thru Flightscope calculator and 131mph ball, 19.2* launch, peak 41 yards, and 7000 RPM is 184 yards. How does Al's Sim come up with 197 ? That's a pretty big difference

Mate - luv your reviews - I’m new to your channel but love your approach, enough depth but entertaining too. These clubs look awesome - I’m plugging away at 14hc but have a bit more in the tank, I’m due a change on clubs - will these be good for me? I worry the cost might be out of range but lets hope they come to my shop soon. PS the course you play looks amazing. Wish i was back in Aus paying such beautiful courses.
At 14hc and as long as your ball striking is decent these shouldn't be a problem, you could always get a combo of the forgiving forged tech in the longer 4/5 irons for a little extra help but these are definitely playable for you. Similar to an Apex Pro or T100 or P770.
That's why I'm looking at them Brenton. On paper I'm a mid handicap, but believe due to the short game. Decent ball striker though, so these are definitely on my radar w/ the recoil 460 F3 shafts !
