Stick IS a hardcore bigot. 😂
Not suprised that an educated, intelligent guy, who likes science like Professor Stick is pro trans. As a trans guy, it's nice to remember we have allies and that we are not alone.

Most science leaning people tend to support trans and liberal beliefs. 😊
Agreed, it gets tiring to be met with transphobia at every turn so support is always a nice change of pace

Education tends to lead to less bigotry, this is why something like Prager U will never be a real university and they have to just borrow the aesthetics to make them feel better.
Some of my friends are trans and I learned a lot from them by just listening to their histories - it just takes an open mind and a bit of time, empathy and respect.
Let’s praise the guy who destroyed a woman’s life by pretending to love her. Let’s praise the guy who brought a life into this world and destroyed his family. If this guy wanted to play dress up, he should have done it before he decided to start a family. He’s a coward and should get 0 media time.

@@ConstantChaos1 Never said that, I could care less about another’s sexual proclivity. We shouldn’t praise people who break a vow to be there for their family and then decide they don’t want that responsibility because they rather live out a fantasy fetish. If people want to play out that fetish go ahead, I don’t have to accept their belief just like you don’t have to accept mine.
As someone who is in the LGBT community, this drama is very funny. Transphobes go to such extreme lengths for stuff that is so small that it is honestly hilarious (when they aren't trying to take away people's rights).
it's like how I will never not laugh at "if you don't like gay marriage, then don't get a gay marriage"
Trans-people merely existing is absolutely horrifying for them.
Yeah, I love the meme that Transphobes think about someones gender more than they do lol, to the point it's kinda stalkerish.
it can be more nuanced than that.
Marriage is considered as the contract between 2 people to build a family. It may not about love.
indeed, you can love without marrying as you can marry without love. but the point is to engage on an other to raise children.
If gay marriage is a thing, it implies that lesbians and gays engage, in front of god, that they could raise children together.
(i'm an atheist. gays don't bother me, however I don't understand the point of marriage if it's not to swear to support your partner and raise children, even less if it's for a god that created you in a way that he couldn't love you or make you a victim in your own community. Same sex marriage looks like a whim to me)
but If Same sex couple have a right to raise children, it's logically deduced that the children has to be concieved outside of this mariage and be taken away from 1 or 2 biological parents. and then the umbearable idea for conservatives to break the holy link between a parent to his/her child.
@@dylanvellut the point of marriage is not to raise a child, not exclusively at least, for most people it’s just a symbol of love between two people.
Also plenty of straight couples exist who don’t have kids nor want kids.
Marriage is not a requirement for anything, not for loving someone, not for having a child or raising a family with someone, it’s just a concept humans made up.
@@dylanvellut apart from religious marriages, there's also humanist/non-religious marriages, which would most likely be the best fit for these people. They would have the amenity of marriage while not upsetting other people in the process.

This guy, "you shouldn't let society tell you who you are"
Also this guy, "you should let an ancient superstitious society tell you who you are"
Yep, you should let religion, and even more precisely, "this guy", tell you who you are. 'Cause let's face it, every single Christian thinks theirs is the one true interpretation. They all interpret the bible in such a way that validates their own personal feelings and beliefs. So they want religion to guide you just so long as they approve of what you think religion is telling you.

LGBTQ ally here. There are two ways I like to explain the issue to bigots, ideally in combination.
1. If, as a cis male, I were to suddenly wake up in the body of a woman, I would want the best medical treatment available to give me the closest thing I can get to the body I had before. I feel comfortable in my body. If that were to suddenly change, I would constantly feel like something is fundamentally wrong with me.
2. People change their appearance all the time to conform to their own self-image. The transition process should have no more stigmatization than changing your hairstyle, growing or shaving facial hair, or getting a tattoo. It's my body. As long as I'm not using it to hurt someone else, I can do what I want with it.
that is the thing i never got with people who are against LGBTQ+ like, its their life as long as it isnt hurting anyone why should you care?

WTF is genderfluid
@@urbanspaceman7183 "you switch genders just like you switch clothes" that's how a gf person described it to me
That's a good attitude to have, GG
@@urbanspaceman7183 You bounce around from one gender to another on a whim.
@@urbanspaceman7183 gender fluid just means there are times where you present as feminine, times when you present as masculine and other times when you present as some of both.
my niece is gender fluid but she uses the pronouns she/her.
Initially, the reason why people cared so much about other people being trans is because they have been told their whole lives by the people who are supposed to love them that they have to be manly, or they have to be womanly, or they have to present their gender in some specific way, in order to feel legitimate as a person. And so when they see people being trans, which completely contradicts all of that, it is easier to say to them ‘what you’re doing is delusional’ than it is to admit to yourself that the people who are close to you have made you alter who you are in such a drastic way and that you have fallen for it your whole life.
Now that transness is becoming more and more accepted, and trans people are being supported by their friends and families, it is harder to call trans people delusional. So people have moved on from ‘what you’re doing is delusional’ to ‘what you’re doing is disgusting and wrong and the people who support you are disgusting and wrong’. And that is why every time someone comes out as trans nowadays people will call them groomers even though that doesn’t make sense
Jeez bro, the gaslighting
I don't get why people can't act however they want while also accepting their biological sex for what it is.
I never had someone force me to be manly. Yes I've been told at times I act like a sissy, but that didn't change anything in me.
I have a pretty strong feminine side. At times I don't feel comfortable in my own body. That's the human experience, just some people have it worse than others. Sounds to me like a strictly mental health issue, though.
(I like to embrace both my masculine and my feminine traits, while still accepting that I was born biologically male. And I personally think trans people would be genuinely happier if they got actual therapy and did the same).
@@LazorVideosDestruction trans people do accept their biological sex. It is their gender that they change. Gender and sex are different things - gender is a social construction and sex is a combination of several biological characteristics.
@@connorcriss Yet the same people that say that still confuse the two together. Surgeries, hormone treatments, etc. Wouldn't be necessary if they accepted their biological sex.
They'd agree that bathrooms should be based on sex organs rather than "how they feel."
They'd agree that trans athletes shouldn't compete with the cis athletes in the same gender category.
But none of that is the case, is it?
If gender is a social construct, how's that not just a part of their personality, and why does it have anything to do with their sex? Trans people aren't comfortable with their biological sex, and that's why they transition. That's literally what gender dysphoria is.
@@LazorVideosDestruction Gender as a social construct is currently heavily tied to sex. Because there is a social expectation for people of certain genders to present themselves a certain way, transgender people get dysphoria when that doesn’t happen. That effect also applies to parts of the body, though the way gender is perceived regarding those things does seem to be changing. By taking hormones and getting surgeries etc, they can better play into the gender roles that align with their personality.
There’s no reason bathrooms should be based on sex organs, or even gender, at all. It just has been that way for a while so people take it for granted.
If sports are being split by gender, trans athletes should be competing in their gender category. If sports are being split by sex, they should be competing in the category that aligns with their sex. The point of segregation in sports is to maximize competitive fun, so as far as I’m concerned it is up to the people organizing the sports to decide that.

A little would disagree with the almighty Stick on this one. I'm absolutely all for minding our own business, as long as we don't hurt others etc., and think in most cases when people attack such people it tends to seem like cases of having too much time on their hands and not enough stress or adrenaline in their own lives, or rather trying to redirect it to something like this. However, I do disagree about the rights vs privileges part. They do (some at least) ask for special treatment, for instance, learning an endless supply of pronouns, knowing what they mean etc. Bathrooms is another one. The worst one definitely is sports. Been proven enough times, and in certain sports can directly cause harm.
1. Learning someone's pronouns is no more difficult than learning their name. You have to learn each person's name, is that a special privilege?
2. Trans people just want to use the bathroom where they're most comfortable and safe, just like everyone. How is that a special privilege?
3. Trans people just want to compete in sports with people of their own gender, like everyone else. Again, how is that a special privilege? The science has shown there is no advantage a trans person has over a cis person, and we already had pre-existing regulations about how much testosterone a woman can have to compete with other women (thanks to intersex competitors).
It sounds a lot like you think "trans people having the same rights as everyone" is "special privilege."
@@Snuzzled 1. It is, since I only learn the names of people that I care or need to. A person who I don't know, will never get offended by me not knowing their name.
2. Yeah can agree to your statement in itself. Issue is when gender-neutral bathrooms are required. They could just do exactly as you said. Instead, removing the rights of women to not have to use same bathrooms as men and vice versa. I do not know much about this, so I could be somewhat wrong on this point (trans people are also not demanding same exact things, as well as it hasn't went to its limits yet).
3. I do not know what goofy science you are referring to, but that is absolutely wrong. If it's a man turned into a woman, it's not just testosterone, there's soo much more into that. By now there have been countless examples and records broken this way, so not sure why it's even a question. In fact, many athletes have low testosterone, due to going through steroid cycles, but it's worth it since it has given them time before to train at extreme and impossible levels. Same for being a man before. Also biological advantages, which of course degrade slowly to some extent. But it's a lot more than testosterone, there's also bone and muscle density, lung capacity etc etc. It's one thing if it's weightlifting or cycling etc (which also isn't right or fair), but when it comes to combat sports, it ends up with cracked skulls and more years taken away from life than should be.
@@Ed-wi4wi 1. And you only need to learn the pronouns of people you need to. You don't need to know the pronouns of a person you don't know.
2. Nobody has "removed the rights of women to not have to use the same bathroom as men." Trans women are women, and thus get to use the women's bathroom, same as all women.
3. I am referring to the current, peer reviewed science that is being used to allow trans women to compete in most professional sports, and has allowed trans women to compete in the Olympics for over two decades now. Athletic advantage _does_ just come down to testosterone, because we don't do sports with our genitals or gonads. Testosterone is what drives all the other differences between the bodies of cis men and cis women.
Bone density is irrelevant. Muscle mass is testosterone. Lung capacity is proportional to body size.
"Countless records" like what?
"Cracked skulls" like who? If you're referring to Fallon Fox, that was an occipital fracture, a common injury in a sport where the object is to punch and kick each other in the head. Cis women have literally killed each other in MMA.
@@Ed-wi4wi That's not how steroid use works. Excess testosterone has a feminizing effect, but only the surplus. Their bodies are still juiced to heck. Yes, it reduces their natal ability to produce testosterone thanks to that feminizing affect, but not nearly as low as trans women, nor for as long, because they're not getting estrogen therapy. The human body needs hormones, their doctors would be supplementing them with HRT until their body recovers from steroid use (if it ever does, the damage is sometimes permanent). No doctor in the world would allow a cis man to continue to function with their natal testosterone as low as a trans woman's, _and_ no estrogen either. They need one or the other to function.
Trans women have to keep their testosterone below 10nmol/L for two to three years. That has been found to be sufficient to put them at par with their cis peers.
Did you actually read either of those studies? They support my assertions, not yours.
Bone density is not a factor. You need dense enough bones to support your weight so that the bones do not fracture, more than that is not beneficial. If bone density was a statistical athletic advantage, Black cis women would be at an advantage over white cis men, since they have denser bones on average. And it would absolutely be unfair to pit them against white cis women. Bit funny how bone density only matters in regards to trans women, though.
What are those names supposed to prove? Just trans women who've competed in women's sports? Because Lia Thomas lost, Laurel Hubbard lost spectacularly. Tiffany Newell is ranked 1196 place in women's 5000m. So again, what are these names supposed to prove?
I would hope you care about others even if I don't give you good reason to. It's generally good to care about other people.

I'm sorry, but if I, a woman, looked into the mirror every day and saw a man looking back at me it would start to affect my mental health to the point I might start doubting everything I know about myself and believe to be true about myself. So yes, the outside matching who we feel we are inside does matter. I'm not trans but I at least can see how looking in a mirror knowing I'm one gender but seeing the gender I'm not reflected back at me could be harmful to me and thus must be worse for those that actually are trans, thus when they do things like get hormone treatment I'm happy for them as this means they are taking the steps to not suffer from that problem. They are taking the steps to be happy and comfortable in their skin and thus no one should say anything against them doing it so long as they are going through the right channels and using trusted sources/doctors for such things.
So, if you looked in the mirror and saw yourself as very obese every day you should start extreme exercising and eating way less? Not at all. That's anorexia, a mental health disorder, you would see a therapist and surround yourself with loved ones that want to help you feel better but who wont accept that you starve yourself to match what you see. It's harmful, just as HRT and cosmetic surgery is. No sane doctor would give a super skinny person drugs to make them weigh less or surgery to reduce weight.

Aaah lets go. They are sweet people,mr beast crew, i have only recently watched.Because of this issue.
As a Christian myself, even if I disagree with the way one can change gender, I won't hate the person for it. It's their body and their choice to do what they desire and what they identify as. Any Christian who, even if they disagree, attack them and consider them inhuman, they act opposite to what we're taught. We should love those seeking help and support. *Love thy neighbor like thyself* , one of the most important aspects of this religion. If Christians are to be critical of others, we should first be critical of ourselves, then speak.
Thank you, i wish there were more people with some flexibility in thinking around today. One doesn't have to understand everything someone else is doing to like them as a person.

@@monterrang1 missing the point
I've been a subscriber for a very long time now, really enjoyed the videos. So it's pretty disheartening to see this video. I don't believe in the hole trans gender movement, because the idea is simply impossible. It is completely impossible to change your gender, no amount of surgery can change that. The majority of us are not bigots, we just live in reality, and care about the truth. And saying their choices don't effect anyone is false, it effects their loved ones, friends and family, especially if they were already married and had a kid.
If someone genuinely has gender dysphoria, the salutation is not to "transition", it's to get actual help. If you're a man that thinks he's a woman, and goes into surgery to become a woman. You're still a man.
Look, I don't hate trans gender people, but the whole idea of it is fantasy, and I won't participate in that fantasy. These people were lied to, they were convinced that they could change their gender, they were convinced that it would make everything better. It does not make anything better.
Does anyone know what the shirt says?? Worn by the guy Stick is responding to. It's drivin' me nuts! It's like "NOT O - - - Y SELF"
I think we should also discuss how social media is affecting the way kids think nowadays. From what I've seen on the comment sections of UA-cam and all, there are many instances where kids act transphobic or homophobic simply because it's the go-to joke or it's the "based opinion".
If somebody is willing to give up the Ultimate Ace card of being a rich white American male in which you're essentially playing life on easy mode to then transition into the one of the most marginalized groups on the planet that should tell you how serious it is for them. When you think about it like that why would anybody on Earth do such a thing unless living as a man is so unbearable that they're willing to make that trade. Having said that why wouldn't you just let people be it's obviously not hurting anybody including his kid. 4:02 is a pretty damn stupid thing for him to say, and I actually disagree with your take that the message hasn't been around because we haven't progressed that far until now. You're right that the concept has been around for a while, but it's been largely accepted for a very long time in pretty much every form besides this exact one.
The answer is found in fashion, the literal definition of physically appearing how you feel on the inside. From clothing, to styles, to tattoos, hats, and jewelry, all of them are an essential part of self-expression. You can see it on his stupid hoodie right there, wearing his faith on his jacket in the form of a quote. Free Speech protects what we wear explicitly because it's seen as vital for expressing how we feel; I just view stuff like hormones and transition surgery as taking the next logical step for people who feel differently than they look.
People have been doing it forever, and the people who have a problem with this specific form of self-expression are participating in different forms of the very same thing themselves.
It's also strange to me that he argues against choosing your own identity and not listening to others, considering that's the most classical, traditional approach to identity possible. Who the hell gives the advice to let OTHER people tell you who you are? He isn't going to give up God when I think it's stupid and childish because God is an essential part to who he is as a person. Just like he doesn't care how irrational such an essential part of his identity is, people who feel like they aren't the gender they were born as shouldn't give a fuck either. The only difference between everyone else and the guy in your video is that his identity as an ignorant, arrogant Christian is still seen as socially acceptible, and that's changing slowly but surely.
You know it's really a tragedy that there is no helpful being that could accept you (despite creating you)
That's the part I could never understand, feeling a personal involvement when someone else does their own thing, off where it doesn't effect you.
King video.
Get ready for a rant. Starting off I can only speak for myself and my own motivations and experiences when transitioning.
I have been transitioning for about 5 years now and I can honestly say it has changed my life a lot. When it comes to explaining gender dysphoria here is the best way I can think to explain it:
I typically relate the feeling of gender dysphoria to feeling overweight. Imagine looking in the mirror and thinking you should lose a few pounds, so you take actions to forward that goal. Simply because you would feel better about yourself, and feel more true to yourself in pursuit of a body you want.
Simply put if there was an exercise or diet that would give me the hour glass figure and breasts that I want I would do that. But that simply isn't possible, hence why i turn to HRT and hopefully one day surgery.
As for why not being able to transition can push people to suicidal thoughts, at least for me the constant barriers and struggle to further my transition is what caused me a lot of grief. Imagine needing a surgery and rather than just going to the doctor and getting it instead you have to jump through all sorts of hoops, spend mountains of money, all while people are trying to pass legislation to make the surgery you need illegal. How can one not fall into despair when years and years go by with only so much progress?
On top of it all, you have people insisting that the way you live your life is wrong. It's not about me "wanting to be a girl" I just want to be myself, unapologetically. Imagine having other people wanting to force you how to dress, how to behave, dictating personal aspects of your life for arbitrary reasons. To be forced to live a life you don't want is just being forced to live a lie. How could you not want to end it all under such circumstances?
Very well spoken. I don't think transitioning is the way to go for most people, but yes. You should be allowed to live your life the way you want, and do whatever makes you happy, so long as it doesn't harm anyone else. It genuinely does annoy me that some people think transitioning should be illegal all around. Just let people live their lives, God damn!
@@LazorVideosDestruction yea transitioning might not be the path for everyone, some people start down that path and later decide it isn't for them. If I live to be 99 and then decide to detransition that will be my choice and it wouldn't make the life I've lived any less important. So long as we have the freedom to walk our own paths

It's actually really easy to understand gender dysphoria at least as a cis man. Try to imagine yourself going to work in a dress. Now try to imagine yourself going to work in a suit and tie. Now imagine that when you show up in the suit-and-tie at work everyone looks at you funny like there's something wrong with you for wearing a suit and tie. Let people think what they want unless they are flat earthers? Lol

The way I see it (as a cis man), people have been modifying their bodies and appearances to look the way they want to or are comfortable with for as long as there have BEEN humans. Piercings, tattoos, hair color or style, even the clothes we wear can change our shape (see: 80's shoulder pads). To me, transitioning is an extension of that, changing yourself to be happier and more comfortable. We should be *excited* that trans people exist, because it reminds all of us that we *can* change if we want to, in whatever way we desire!
Maybe today it's wearing a hat. Maybe tomorrow it's trying on different pronouns. Maybe next week it's getting a tattoo that's really meaningful to you personally. Maybe next month it's talking to a doctor about hormones. It's your body to change, it's your experience to modify. ❤️
@@imranzakhaev3779ou're an idiot
That about says it. Not to mention the outlandish amounts of surgery that is done to modify someone's body that doesn't relate to being transgender at all. Like people getting nose jobs, liposuction, tummy tucks, women getting breast augmentation, etc. All in the name of looking how they want to look. There's minors going through surgery that aren't dysphoric or identify as transgender and the same people who are against minors getting surgery because they're transgender don't seem to have an issue with that. Make. It. Make. Sense.

Just love how religion always has to push themselves into every issue with god loving you bla bla blah. I have no issues with them personally believing in god.
