What a blessing to see Dr. Jordan B. Peterson back on Joe Rogan. Grateful to see his health restored and back to full health sharing some new eye opening revelations that he has gained throughout the years. The most admirable part of his story is his continued growth in the process. So many people get stuck in their ways and are unable to continuously grow with the time and new information. Dr. Peterson shows that regardless of the age you are never too old to learn.
@@tasospelou8630 well technically your comment is already from yesteday, so you are officially talking about the past 😁 The past and future do exist, unless you wrote your comment "now" instead of "yesteday"
Joe Rogan is great at interviewing. His ability to fit in with nearly any guest he has and decipher when he should listen and when he should speak is his greatest gift to our modern media. Glad to see Peterson is doing well and appears to have recovered quite well. It's always interesting to hear him speak.
Here’s what a conversation with Jordan Peterson is like…….. A. Introduces Idea B. Explains a word or two in idea 1 in further detail C. Gives a story based upon the abstraction of those 1-2 words D. His brain goes off on a tangent related to an idea he had when telling the story and solving his own problem out loud. E. We find out D is not a tangent but actually another subpoint to C F. Repeats this whole process a few more times G. Wraps em the whole conversation bringing together the layering of all these points very precisely and strategically in one large narrative helping us realize he is not crazy and he did in fact have a point.
Although it is often "G."in the case of JP yes; in this case he falls into the pit of not realizing that he doesn't understand that monotheism was built for the only sake of forming state hierarchy. Libertarian/conservative atheists (I guess we are mostly in Europe) have no problem understanding that; there would be no North korean commie dictatorship without monotheist cultism through history (like the pharaohs deified themselves, so did the NK ruler family). The step up from that to an invisible fantasy god isn't a large step. But it controls people.
If you say so. Does he really wrap up the conversation with a "precise and strategic" narrative? I would say absolutely not. Hes a bore. Why can't he just explain things without going off on some silly dialogue that makes no sense when he could just explain an idea without all the BS? If you're really impressed by the way he teaches then you probably haven't listened to many really good teachers. He's somewhat of a fraud as far as I'm concerned.
@@ScottH. makes no sense to you? 👀 Also about your simple answer comment, there’s no simple answer to a complex question, why? Because often times, a simple answer giving as antidote to a complex question will be misunderstood! Also how should he then explain the totality of the idea without bringing up something to anchor it on? And again, why call him a bore? Just because you don’t like his method of teaching doesn’t make it any less interesting. There are people who think that cricket is more interesting to watch than soccer, or basketball, that doesn’t make them any less interesting! And finally if you want to call out someone or make a case about them, you should have logical reasons to do so, so you don’t come off as a hater or more bitter than your comment already let on.

New Covenant Whole Gospel: Let us now share the Old Testament Gospel found below with the whole world. On the road to Emmaus He said the Old Testament is about Him. He is the very Word of God in John 1:1, 14. Awaken Church to this truth. Jer 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: Jer 31:32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by husband unto them, saith the LORD: Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. Jer 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. Is the most important genealogy in the Bible found in Matthew 1:1 (Gal. 3:16)? Is God's Son the ultimate fulfillment of Israel (John 1:49)? Why has the modern Church done a pitiful job of sharing the Gospel with modern Orthodox Jews? Why would someone tell them they are God's chosen people and then fail to share the Gospel with them? Who is the seed of the woman promised in Genesis 3:15? Who is the "son" in Psalm 2? Who is the "suffering servant" of Isaiah 53? Who would fulfill the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34? Who would fulfill the timeline of Daniel chapter 9 before the second temple was destroyed? Why have we not heard this simple Old Testament Gospel preached on Christian television in the United States on a regular basis? Once a person comes to understand the New Covenant promised to Israel and Judah in Jeremiah 31:31-34, which is found fulfilled by Christ during the first century in Hebrews 8:6-13, and Hebrews 10:16-18, and specifically applied to the Church in 2 Corinthians 3:6-8, and Hebrews 12:22-24, man-made Bible doctrines fall apart. Let us now learn to preach the whole Gospel until He comes back. The King of Israel is risen from the dead! (John 1:49, Acts 2:36) Watch the UA-cam videos “The New Covenant” by Bob George, and David H.J. Gay. ================================ Which baptism is a part of the salvation process, based on what the Bible says? What did Peter say below? Acts 11:15 And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning. Acts 11:16 Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost. Act 11:17 Forasmuch then as God gave them the like gift as he did unto us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ; what was I, that I could withstand God? Based on Luke 3:16, and John 1:33, and Acts 11:15-16, the most important thing about the word "baptize" in the New Testament has nothing to do with water. The Holy Spirit is the master teacher promised to New Covenant believers in Jeremiah 31:34, and John 14:26, and is found fulfilled in Ephesians 1:13, and 1 John 2:27. Unfortunately, many modern Christians see water when they read the word "baptize" in the text. Based on the above, what is the one baptism of our faith found in the passage below? How many times is the word "Spirit" found in the passage, and how many times is the word "water" found in the passage? Eph 4:1 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, Eph 4:2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Eph 4:3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. Eph 4:4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; Eph 4:5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism, “baptize” KJV Mat_3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire: Mar_1:8 I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost. Luk_3:16 John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire: Joh_1:26 John answered them, saying, I baptize with water: but there standeth one among you, whom ye know not; Joh_1:33 And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost. 1Co_1:17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.

Jordan is such an unusual person. As he speaks, his own thoughts are playing off of each other, so he's constantly deriving new understandings from his own notions tumbling around and through each other. You have to let him speak, even if it takes several minutes to complete a thought, and what you get at the end is often some amazing epiphany. Jordan is a student of life who will never stop learning until he dies.
People with brains like Dr. Peterson do way better writing their thoughts. When they speak, everything from all corners of memory on the given topic want up front at the same time. He does remarkably well in both. The guy is sharp.
I imagine it’s that they are very easily impressed with themselves… because they do pick up the gist of what J. P. is trying to say. What I question is why don’t they see the obvious - “A very insecure, ageing male who wakes up daily asking himself - “Is today the day I jump off the cliff”.
I like how Jordan said “I learned this last week.” I’ve been a Christian all my life, however I went to the Museum of the Bible in DC too twice BUT only the second time I actually understood the creation of the book. It’s incredible!
Yet, the Vatican, the quintessential progenitor of the Christian religion in the western world went so far as to declare itself a sovereign nation, in order to keep its contents, hidden from the world. What you have learned and think you know is it exactly what they want you to.
This is genuinely one of the most profound ideas I've come across. In this sense, the content of what lies within the Bible becomes the LIVING word as we collectively digest it. As someone who does not identify as a Christian, but is wholeheartedly connected to an active and deeply connected experience of God/Grace, this idea resonates. I wonder if we can't also apply the notion that we are living out so many plot-lines these days, as so many of our works of fiction--their very story lines--are coming to fruition all around us. What a time to be alive. Co-creators in an ever expansive universe, our future hinging on the capacity of collective imagining.
The bible explained it all. We became co-creators once God commanded Adam to name the beasts of the field. Look up Jordan petersons lectures on this topic. Its mind-blowing. There has never and will never be a wisdom as such in the Bible. Infinitely deep.
Grace without truth is to indulge our selfish human nature. Truth without grace is at its best mean and can be downright destructive to our soul. The living word of scripture is designed to be truth with grace. Only our loving Father in heaven can give us both. I’m a Christian because Jesus Yeshua, came here to give me ultimate grace. I put all my hope and trust in His finished work on the cross because the truth is I will fail but He did not. Please open your heart to Jesus message of truth and grace. Give His infinite love a chance. God bless you.
When Guttenberg invented the printing press his 1st book was the Bible, as we all know. Do you know what the 2nd one was ? It was a biography of Joseph of Arimathea. The man only mentioned once as the man who donated his own tomb for Jesus to be buried in. He was the Roman Empire's equivalent of the Minister of Mines. Having control over mining and shipping which transported ores and refined metals. So what, you ask. As a devout convert to Christianity he used his power to help Christians escape persecution and transported them to the far flung outposts of the empire. So when the Roman's destroyed Jerusalem ( 70 AD?) approximately 3 million Jews were killed. The road from Jerusalem to Rome was lined with crucified Jewish leaders who rebelled against Rome, but no Christian Jews because Joseph had taken them out of harms way. Thus Christianity was spread as far away as the Britain and Spain and other places far from it's origin in Jerusalem. A man worthy of honor, but little known today.
Wow I've "known" about Joseph but did not know this!! Thank you for taking the time to tell this!! I really look forward to reading a little on this.. I have never heard this..

The more I listen to Peterson, the wiser I feel especially, when he talks about Religion & God. Actually, he's the reason why I'm not an atheist anymore, so thank you Jordan for existing on this Earth. Regarding the Bible, there should be a black pope as Wars and climate changes continue spreading all over the world according to the Bible. Besides, I've talked someone, who reads the Bible more than me, about all of this and to my surprise, we both agreed. Therefore, I wasn´t that wrong about the existence of this black pope.
THIS is the stuff I want to hear Peterson talk about...His time and energy is so often wasted on fighting social justice warrior type arguments which is quite honestly just a waste of his mind. May as well inspire new novel thoughts in open-minded people than to try and change the minds of those who are uninterested and lazy thinkers.
I disagree. I think we need both sides of Dr. Peterson. We need his intellect and reason to fight the plague that is Progressivism. But we also need his deep thoughts on stuff like this to guide us into a deeper understanding of life.

A 14 year old Atheist could debate him on the Bible and win. That's not because Peterson is stupid, but because fairy tales aren't difficult to argue against.
“Dr Peterson, what’s your favorite color?" “Well that depends on what you mean by favorite. And it also depends on what you mean by color. This is a very complex question... One must acknowledge the underlying verisimilitude that is irrevocably nested within a multi-layered metaphysical substrate which many people fundamentally conflate with their ideological presuppositions with uncertain irregularity, the very byproduct of Jung's extrapolation of the archetypal and axiomatic juxtaposition of Raskolnikov's neo-Marxist existential nihilism. With that said... I've written a 600 page book on the subject, which unpacks the uninformative intimations with absolute precision, both biologically and metaphysically..."
Well said . I bet most of his followers don’t understand most of what he says. Part of being genius is to explain complex ideas in simpler terms so everyone can understand . Not everyone has the luxury to study philosophy or other complicated ideas.
Joe is so good at letting his guests talk at the right times. He’s great at knowing when to cut in and ask questions and when to let his guests teach him. There’s a lot of podcasters that have trouble with this.
He’s also very good with focus on subject + placement of conversation, in goggins one he kept guiding him thru and back to the points leading to him and many other guests telling their story on point, he has some what mastered a lot of skills ppl don’t notice.
This is actually a great explanation of the Bible to somebody who isn’t religious. I don’t necessarily believe in everything in the Bible or even God for that matter but I understand it’s importance as a foundation of western society. All western works of literature, language, common meaning and understanding are derived in some part from the Bible, similar to how our political system is built upon the US constitution.
It is not important for a foundation, religious like to say how can you have morals without it? Well i do, many of us do. Empathy exists in many species .
1. The stories of Bellerophon (Iliad 7) and Joseph (Genesis): Both are young, handsome lads who get wrongly accused of sexually attacking a lady, while the truth is that it was her who tried to seduce them. The lady’s husband decides to indirectly punish them. 2. Proetus’ letter to Iobates, which Bellerophon carries without knowing it’s actually his death sentence, resembles the the letter David gave to Uriah (Kings 2). 3. @@PAINTPOURish Those are definitely some interesting parallels. Do we have any reasons to believe that those Bible stories directly inspired Homer's works? They could be coincidental as they're all fairly common tropes.
Sounds gay. Jokes asides, JBP is one of the shallowest philosophers I know. If his message will and can heal anybody I support that and I'm happy for it, but understanding basic concepts like buddhism, natural healing, shamanism, christianity and ancient greek philosophy can be a lot more fulfilling because you understand the roots. *Buddhism:* Let go, practice emptiness and find your peace. *Natural healing:* Follow your balance and grow the way you want to grow. *Shamanism:* Achieve deeper states of your consciousness to understand the world you are living in. *Christianity:* Accept Jesus as your savior, because he died for you sins and live in respect for selflessness. *Ancient Greek Philosophy:* Find your clarity and share it with others. Abstract ideas as a set of rules for society.

Nah, let's not go this way. Think for yourself mate, use his method (without his bias) and sample the texts, you will see the bible is hardly the source of all the other books. Look how much comes from the european books of old in the most important text of western civilization. Even Aquinas' "Summa Theologica" has WAY more Plato than it has the bible! Bible is not a seed from which european civilization grows, it's just a one tree of many, many more. Homer, Plato, Aristotle, Plutarch, Virgil - our civilization is based on antique philosophers and writers WAY harder than on the bible.
The world hated you first? Why, the world hardly knows you. But saying things such as that does argue for the possibility that, the more “the world” gets to know you, the more opportunity for you to be more hated by it will be. I saw the creation of the Bible in one of JP’s UA-cam videos on his channel. It really opened my eyes and made me realize that I need to reread the Bible and use it as a source of truth to allow me to navigate through life with better understanding.
Unbelievable podcast, 4 hours went by in a flash and left me wanting more. I love how genuine and authentic both Joe and Jordan are. Makes me think the haters are the people who are living fake lives or have to be fake for their jobs that serve corporate interests
The first Jordan Peterson interview changed my life. Finally someone else in academics who saw what was going on and was willing to say something, and who had a lot more to offer than criticism.
Working in academia is not an easy thing to do these days. JP's article about why he retired earlier was completely accurate about what is happening to academia.

This is so mind blowing... imagine if every creature in society practiced what Mr. Jordan is saying about fundamental truth. Each one of us, before jumping to conclusions and scoffing at every idea foreign to our own, would sample the idea presented, consider it, try it out, and see if it is true. What a different world we would live in with every person, great and small, being heard and understood... not necessarily agreed with, but understood.

Well Jesus Christ in Jordan's words through Jung represents the absolute pinnacle of what one man can do at its extreme lengths. That is known as an Archetype. Leading by example hence his amazingly helpful books and his implacable word. You are 100% right brother. That's the end game but it's all starts with each and every individual first. It was decades before realized just how many songs & sayings have there roots in the Bible. Had I been made aware of that in my teens, I may have actually read the books of the Bible. It wasn’t until I was in my 60’s that I picked up the Bible & so many times I’ve said to myself, if only I’d read this life lesson years ago.
I feel the same way my friend. I remember when I came across the gospels for the first time and I was so mad because my parents never showed me this 😂😂
I followed my heart on what is right and what is wrong. The Golden Rule. Treat people the way I want to be treated. then I went out and lived my life without reading the Bible. Now I am 65 and the Bible confirms what I have done most my life as a sinner that has grown tired of sin. The Bible is right.
First, it is so wonderful to see and hear Dr. Peterson speaking with Joe Rogan again. Second, what a wonderfully brilliant and eloquent explanation this is. I had to listen to it several times to fully grasp what he was trying to convey. Really remarkable.
Love that you said that. I often feel that way and even though I didn't do it on this video I did say to myself, "damn, I'm going to have to listen to this again and pause so I can think about these concepts." haha
It hit me by surprise. I thought he was going to thrash the Bible like all the elites tend to do, as if they are too smart or too superior to those whose lives have been transformed by what the Bible says.

Joe Rogan!!! You are an amazing interviewer!!! The way you allow people to finish thoughts and ideas and not interrupt them every 30 seconds is what makes you great sir!!! Keep on keeping on!!!
This is the difference between a long-form show and your standard news talk show. They do 5 minute segments on those. You simply don't have the luxury of letting someone wander. If you've got 3 topics you want to discuss, you get about 90 seconds for each, including the time to frame the question. You have to interrupt if things go wrong. But with 3 hours, you can develop ideas more fully. It's a totally different experience. The reason we don't do much of it is that the media realized two things: 1) they can put more eyeballs on programs with shorter, simpler content and 2) they can sell more ads. They're businesses, so they made a business decision and it took podcasts to disrupt it. Jordan Peterson has a whole spiel on this. People are thirsty for deeper discussions. It's what he attributes his own social media success to.
I agree. All I heard Rogan say was ahuh couple times, so if that's a good interview then yes I agree, but i think I'd prefer the interviewer to say a word or two once in a while, unless of course they are def and can't talk lol
Just my opinion but I believe that when you take something complicated and make it more complicated you have accomplished nothing... however those that can take something complicated and simplify it to where all types of intellect can understand you're on a different level of intelligence
being able to explain something for all intellect does not make you more intelligent. it makes you a great teacher. you could be the most intelligent person but lack the ability to communicate your own understanding to others.
I agree with you 100%, although people tend to complicate explanations aiming to look smarter or to be accepted by a few...its is the ability to solve or break problems into easier tasks, its all about perspective
Joe- I love how you let your speakers talk without interruption. Nearly all hosts can't resist jumping into the speaker's narrative to show how smart they (the host) is. Part of what makes your podcasts so incredibly wonderful to hear.
Imagine if all men were understanding and open to understand basic things like this and explode and explore their own thoughts this way and with others on a daily basis, I think the world would be a much better place

I disagree slightly. I personally think this type of open though conversation has resulted in a very confused Jordan having a vocal conjecture with himself while he is trying to make sense of what he has just said. He just beat around the bush and his final statement wasn’t as much convincing as it was a pleasure to watch the struggle end.
Here are some facts and may God Almighty guide our hearts to the truth and keep us steadfast always. Ameen. Muslims believe Jesus pbuh was a mighty messenger of God who submitted his will to Allah (God) and was only sent to the lost tribe of Israel not to the whole of humanity as even stated in parts of the bible. Jesus pbuh never once claimed to be God and say "worship me and 2 other deities im part of a trion God" anywhere in the bible (if that was the case wouldnt rationality dictate for him to make that openly clear and upfront?!!). The trinity's something that was added in the 4th century by church fathers who couldn't agree to add it in till then. Jesus pbuh was born of a miraculous birth (without a biological father) by the will of Allah (God) and was able to perform miracles by the permission of the Almighty as proof to the lost tribe of Israel that he is indeed a prophet of God sent to them to warn them to give up idolatry and mischief as did other prophets before him such as Moses pbuh who also performed miracles by the will and permission of the Almighty (He split the sea) and to worship One God alone without any partners. We Muslims believe that Adam pbuh is humanity's father and the first Muslim and prophet of God on earth, he was born of a more miraculous birth than Jesus pbuh (no father or mother). Islam means submission (also means peace) is not a new religion, its the religion of all previous messengers who all submitted and preached the same message which is to worship One God alone with no partners as Jesus pbuh said he did not come to abolish the law. Jesus pbuh worshipped God alone, did he not say "the father is greater than i" did he also not say "hear o Israel the lord OUR God is one"?!!. Jesus pbuh did not want to be killed or sacrificed for anyone's sins as it is Almighty God alone who can forgive any sin by accepting one's true repentance if he wishes as his mercy incompasses everything. Proof of that in the Garden of Gethsemane when Jesus pbuh fell to his face in prayer to Almighty Allah and asked: "please take this cup of suffering away from me". We Muslims believe Allah answered Jesus's prayer and saved him from his to be murderers by elevating him back up to heaven and what was on the cross was only made to appear to the criminals as such by the will of God. We also await his second coming where he will come to kill the anti christ, destroy the cross and affirm Islam and the Qur'an as the final revelation/legislation. He will marry and live a normal life till he dies. Proof of the coming of the prophet Mohamed pbuh is also mentioned in the bible where it says in John 16:12 "i have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. [13] Howbeit when HE, the Spirit of truth (thats the prophet Mohamed pbuh, if you read his biography he was always known as the truthful one) is come, HE will guide you into all truth: for HE shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever HE shall hear, that shall HE speak: and HE will shew you things to come". That's exactly how our beloved prophet was pbuh. The Qur'an contains absolutely no contradictions. The bible has a multitude of contradictions and many versions in which youll find some ommited texts and books that the church fathers couldnt agree on as the original message of Jesus pbuh and language (Aramaic) was lost in translation centuries later in hebrew and greek and was heavily influenced by the pagan traditions of that time where some human and animal sacrifices often took place. The Jews reject Jesus pbuh completely and consider him an imposter hence why Juda betrayed him etc.. whether you believe it or not Islam and the Qur'an and the prophet Mohamed pbuh is true. Islam is the fastest growing religion on earth and insha'Allah (God willing) will be in the very near future as God's truth always prevails over falsehood no matter how hard people try to cover it. Christianity is dieing because the true message has been so diluted to fit people's worldly and life desires that no one cares to follow it, Christians don't follow the true teachings of Jesus pbuh, Muslims do. An example or two of that: Jesus pbuh used to fast 40 days of the year, He also never ate porc, drank alcohol or gambled yet a lot of Christians today do it openly, they follow Paul's message who abolished the law, not Jesus pbuh. Jesus pbuh never taught or ordained Christmas celebrations or having a lit up Christmas tree (it is considered paganism, even some famous u.s televangelists such as Pat Robertson in admit it but wont condemn it as it because they fear that might drive more christians away from Christianity, so hey who cares what God actually ordains right?! why not, its after all only just another innovation!!) Jesus pbuh was not born on the 25th of December its all pagan traditions introduced and innovated later on. Believing that Almighty God who created all things with his infinite knowledge and wisdom came down or had a son whom he sent to be killed by his own creation is in itself utter blasphemy and the most irrational disrespectful thing one can believe in, claim or imagine of an all powerful all wise all merciful Lord, it is the ultimate sign of weakness and injustice to Almighty God who's never weak, he also never ceases to exist and is not touched by death which only creation experiences, He is the ever living, self-sufficient, omnipotent and the reason why hell was created for the disbelievers, may Allah protect us from it. Ameen. Indeed such beliefs are of the devil who rebelled against his Lord and is to the son of Adam a clear enemy till the end of times. Compare that to what Islam (which is pure monotheism) represents and how much Almighty God is revearead and that argument falls apart. I Invite everyone to read the noble Qur'an with an open mind. Peace

It always gave me goosebumps as a kid when I’d read how Jesus told the criminal who was dying on another cross right next to him (which was the most humiliating way to die back then and was reserved for what they thought to be the lowest of criminals and people) that he would see him in paradise that day after the guy dying with Jesus accepted him as his savior. It seemed like such a heavy moment for Jesus to tell this criminal that while they shared a gruesome death, and the nerd in me just can’t help but appreciate how poetic that is
They are rhetorical questions not meant to be answered but meant to probe Joe's mind. Jordan is a genius I knew the Bible was a special book. A book so deep in meaning that that the more you read a simple passage the deeper it can take you. Each passage is a fundamental remnant of the great "I AM".

In this case his ideas seems more based on delusion than truth. I'm not sure he truly understands what truth means- that is, something totally free from prejudice. The bible was just a recollection of ideas from prejudiced minds, influenced by someone who truly did speak truth- enlightened and so free from prejudice.
I think I admire his articulation and being not subjective unlike anyone with emotions calling a thousand years ago as Bronze age. Second, Bronze age itself has huge significance. We humans are so egotistical that what our society teaches and propagates as normal or should be is what we fight to establish rather than coming from a neutral objective place. I'm not Christian, neither do I think Jesus is the way etc. But I'm not close minded or one sided to think God can't be how the bible wants God to be. How humans think of morality may not be how it is on God's eyes. Our perceptions are based on how we don't want to get harmed or harm others. But we kill thousands of livestocks for food. We kill millions of insects to save crops for our food. We mold the world to our benefit while there are other animals living. Sometimes we forget just by looking at nature and life it's purely SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST!! I used to think I enjoyed listening to Jordan and Joe talk because Jordan was so knowledgeable about what was happening in the world and Joe was so good at getting him to explain it, but now I think the real reason I enjoy them is because it is like listening to two unlikely people becoming great friends.
It’s about how Joe Rogan displays the behavior how to treat other human beings, rather than being dismissive as what media, people or our environment teach us.
These men are not friends. They’re both here for business. Joe runs a podcast, and Jordan has a book to sell. You’re all suckers. These two men would never talk in the real world if they met on the street. They are far too different.
See this is the thing I love about JRE listeners. This is not some cult where everyone believes everything every guest/rogan endorses, but rather just enjoy the conversation. People are capable of thinking independently and making up their minds about each subject without painting a person one single color.
And thats just fine. People who disagree can come to greater solutions. But when jealousy, ego or hate comes into play when disagreeing then you have a problem. The Bible covers just about everything!
The Bible is 66 Books put together by the Catholic Church. The first 5 Books of the Bible is the Torah...which is the Jewish Bible. The other 61 Books were added later by the Catholic Church. It was used to control the masses and get the masses to pay tithes to the Church
I love having these types of conversations. I wish I knew more people willing to go this deep Edit: To everyone saying the ideas Jordan is speaking of are bs: the accuracy of ideas being shared is not as relevant to me as much as the willingness to think so deeply about a particular subject. Who cares if you’re wrong. Don’t be afraid to think deeply and share those thoughts. If they turn out to be wrong, oh well, no big deal. Take the correction & use the new information to go down another rabbit hole.

seems the further away society strays from God, the worse it gets. I never really seen peoples problem with the Bible. Teaches great foundations for mankind...lessons...morals
And within the Bible is it’s core revelation that comes from Jesus “I AM the truth they way and the life” It’s the massive truth within the truth. He is essentially the lighthouse in the middle of all religions, he is the fundamental guide and reasoning that draws the line and confirms what the Torah was saying . He’s the confirmation and stamp of authority that came into the world physically as us to make it abundantly clear . And right now, people are trying to destroy the fact that truth is even objective . Now they are trying to say “personal truth , my truth” When people are willing to threw away a fundamental understanding that truth is beyond them , then they establish themselves as gods and givers of truth. You see this happen in cultures, they take away objective truth to make way for oppressive alternative fake “truths”. If you manage to convince people “truth” is a social construct and a thing decided by votes or coercion , then things will collapse, quickly . This is why you see the people lying so much now and manipulating, they have become lawless, no respect or believe in real truth, rather they want to decide what you believe . What you celebrate , what you get mad at, no path for redemption, only enemies , etc It’s inescapable that the Bible established inescapable reasoning. People will talk about new a ge stuff all the time. And “spirituality” when doing hallucinatory things, so they have no problem with spirituality or a God. They have a problem with the God of the Bible. Because it states he has a standard for people. If he had a standard to build all of reality to exact precision , why wouldn’t he also have a standard for people to do right and also give them guidelines? He’s telling you how to operate to be happiest, and it doesn’t inlove materialism. You see materialism and superficialness is what’s destroying people right now too. Coincidence? That when people disobey , they start to ruin themselves? He didn’t make basic rules to ruin people’s “fun” he made basic rules because if you start operating in a way other than what you were created, your mistakes will ruin you. The Bible is a warning . It’s main warning is to be aware of deception . He’s the manufacture , he knows how this thing is supposed to work, people just don’t want to accept they aren’t in total control, because people are arrogant
there are lots of writing that predate the bible and I wouldn’t agree that the bible was the first book, there are Chinese, Egyptian, Mesopotamian texts that way predate the bible. Including the epic of Gilgamesh which is 5000 yrs old approx and it is the origin of the story for Noah’s ark
Its why so many people want to fight it. In many cases its telling how to be a good person. It takes a lot more energy to disprove it and not belive than it does to just believe. Whats so bad about being a better person and realizing your not the most important person in the room.
God is not 'magic man in sky'. He's the Creator of heaven and earth. None of this vast universe exists apart from Him. I would also remind you that apart from the mindset and the principles laid out in the Bible, there would be no Western civilisation. No democracy. No freedom. No Internet. No you. Imagine that! I suggest you get hold of and read a book called 'Return to the God Hypothesis' by Steven Meyer. It's on Kindle and not expensive. It will open your eyes. I also suggest you get hold of a Bible and read it. You'll find it doesn't read like fiction - it reads like fact. It starts, "In the beginning, God made the heavens and the earth." Nothing about a magic man in the sky. Don't end up being one of the ones who will stand before him in judgement to their utter destruction. Good luck dealing with that. Today is the day.
@@Stevie-J He did say that he only came to that realization a week earlier. Often, ideas have to be bounced off of others, honed down through reflection and argument/discussion before they become "on point".

The Bible is the precondition for the truth that our society operates on. Maybe we can look together at how (non)functional our society is and begin to collectively reconsider truth from scratch. Joe Rogan is great at interviewing. His ability to fit in with nearly any guest he has and decipher when he should listen and when he should speak is his greatest gift to our modern media. Glad to see Peterson is doing well and appears to have recovered quite well. It's always interesting to hear him speak.
Much ado about nothing...
Agreed! Rogan's knack for engaging with diverse guests is unparalleled. Peterson's recovery is inspiring, his insights always enlightening.
Here’s what a conversation with Jordan Peterson is like……..
A. Introduces Idea
B. Explains a word or two in idea 1 in further detail
C. Gives a story based upon the abstraction of those 1-2 words
D. His brain goes off on a tangent related to an idea he had when telling the story and solving his own problem out loud.
E. We find out D is not a tangent but actually another subpoint to C
F. Repeats this whole process a few more times
He probably did. Somewhere in all that🤣
@@eugenedaubermann5561 😂🤣😂🤣🤣
If you say so. Does he really wrap up the conversation with a "precise and strategic" narrative? I would say absolutely not. Hes a bore. Why can't he just explain things without going off on some silly dialogue that makes no sense when he could just explain an idea without all the BS? If you're really impressed by the way he teaches then you probably haven't listened to many really good teachers. He's somewhat of a fraud as far as I'm concerned.
@@ScottH. makes no sense to you? 👀
Also about your simple answer comment, there’s no simple answer to a complex question, why? Because often times, a simple answer giving as antidote to a complex question will be misunderstood!
Also how should he then explain the totality of the idea without bringing up something to anchor it on?
And again, why call him a bore? Just because you don’t like his method of teaching doesn’t make it any less interesting.
There are people who think that cricket is more interesting to watch than soccer, or basketball, that doesn’t make them any less interesting!
And finally if you want to call out someone or make a case about them, you should have logical reasons to do so, so you don’t come off as a hater or more bitter than your comment already let on.

New Covenant Whole Gospel:
Let us now share the Old Testament Gospel found below with the whole world. On the road to Emmaus He said the Old Testament is about Him.
He is the very Word of God in John 1:1, 14. Awaken Church to this truth.
Jer 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
Jer 31:32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by
husband unto them, saith the LORD:
Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
(John 1:49, Acts 2:36)

================================
Which baptism is a part of the salvation process, based on what the Bible says?
Eph 4:1 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,
Eph 4:2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;
Eph 4:3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
Eph 4:4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
Eph 4:5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
“baptize” KJV
Mat_3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:
Mar_1:8 I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost.
Luk_3:16 John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire:
Joh_1:26 John answered them, saying, I baptize with water: but there standeth one among you, whom ye know not;
Joh_1:33 And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.
1Co_1:17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.

Yet, the Vatican, the quintessential progenitor of the Christian religion in the western world went so far as to declare itself a sovereign nation, in order to keep its contents, hidden from the world.

@Justin Eden the thing about that is.. God doesn't do any of that because he doesn't exist!

This is actually a great explanation of the Bible to somebody who isn’t religious. I don’t necessarily believe in everything in the Bible or even God for that matter but I understand it’s importance as a foundation of western society. All western works of literature, language, common meaning and understanding are derived in some part from the Bible, similar to how our political system is built upon the US constitution.
the Us constitution is build on the Bible. Matter of fact the whole country
What about the Iliad or the Odyssey? How do they derive from the Bible?
3. Hera (Iliad 18) and Athena (Odyssey 23) stop the sun from setting to help their favorite heroes. God does the same to help Joshua.
@@PAINTPOURish Those are definitely some interesting parallels. Do we have any reasons to believe that those Bible stories directly inspired Homer's works? They could be coincidental as they're all fairly common tropes.

*Natural healing:* Follow your balance and grow the way you want to grow.
*Shamanism:* Achieve deeper states of your consciousness to understand the world you are living in.

*Ancient Greek Philosophy:* Find your clarity and share it with others. Abstract ideas as a set of rules for society.

"For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened."
Who asked?
👉 Jesus.
Jesus prayed to God, IN TRUST, that the Cup is TAKEN AWAY from him.
Mark 14:36
And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; *TAKE AWAY THIS CUP FROM ME* : nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.

@@ltonos9557
YOU brought up 👉 "nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt."
What do YOU expect ANY man of God to do?
Well, it's a given.
For example:
Tom prays to God:
Father, all things are possible unto thee; BLESS ME WITH A BABY BOY: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.
Martin prays to God:
Father, all things are possible unto thee; TAKE ME OUT OF DEBT BEFORE THE START OF NEXT YEAR: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.
Harry prays to God:
Father, all things are possible unto thee; MAKE ME RECOVER FROM MY INJURY BEFORE THE FINALS SO I CAN PLAY THE FINALS: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.
So the prayer in each case comes BEFORE one surrenders it to God. Just like in the case of Jesus. His prayer in the first place was that the Cup is TAKEN AWAY from him. The will of Jesus was that the Cup is TAKEN AWAY from him.

Peace

I hear what he’s saying....even if you don’t believe in everything Christianity has to offer, the Bible does seem to be trying to lead the reader to truth and happiness. It discusses universal struggles we all deal with and even offers solutions to those willing to use them. Even to a non believer, the Bible gives a window into the human condition like no other.
Me personally, I think the story of the gospel is beautiful....it’s the ultimate redemption story for someone who’s down in a hole and can’t seem to get out, there doesn’t seem to be any other agenda behind it other than true forgiveness
Well said 👍
That applies to all religious texts.
It seemed like such a heavy moment for Jesus to tell this criminal that while they shared a gruesome death, and the nerd in me just can’t help but appreciate how poetic that is
That’s not what he’s saying but yes I tend to agree

They are rhetorical questions not meant to be answered but meant to probe Joe's mind. Jordan is a genius I knew the Bible was a special book. A book so deep in meaning that that the more you read a simple passage the deeper it can take you. Each passage is a fundamental remnant of the great "I AM".
It's a clown book. Can't believe full grown adults still believe in fairy tales.
@@Bc232klm you must be living life in peace huh😊
@@Bc232klm how so? Billions of lives have been changed by scripture for good. Call it what you’d like, but the proof is in the results. Why would you be against anything that scripture says? If I quoted all of the 10 commandments, I guarantee you’d only disagree with a few of them. So it’s not just some “clown book”. You may disagree with it but it’s only because you’re operating on confirmation bias. I highly doubt you’ve ever spent time actually studying it or trying to learn it. 65,000 direct references spanning over thousands of years dozens of authors and 66 different books? Pretty good for some “ignorant fisherman” wouldn’t you agree?
@@soloscriptura7451 Nearly every civilization had some form of the ten commandments, at least the last 6 commandments. That doesn't make the Bible special when every culture had some form of the same ethics. Plus the bible consists of a lot of evil as well that Peterson ignores.
@@soloscriptura7451 LOL at someone who believes in the Bible using "Confirmation Bias" as a rebuttal to a non-believer.
I grew up in a family full of preachers - father, two uncles and both grandfathers. I have read every word at least a dozen times. When you actually read it with an open mind the contradictions pile up and you realize it is nonsense created by man.
It's main purpose over time is to keep the lower classes from rising up against their overlords because the carrot of a blissful afterlife is being dangled in exchange for their obedience.
Here is the simple question I asked that lead me to cast off Christianity. Why did Jesus wait to reveal so much to Paul until after he was dead? If you seek to answer this question for yourself you will realize he was no different than L. Ron Hubbard
Interesting perspective on the role of culture and the Bible as a shared structure of categories. The evolution of written texts is fascinating!

Which level is bronze age superstition christianity on to you?
In this case his ideas seems more based on delusion than truth. I'm not sure he truly understands what truth means- that is, something totally free from prejudice. The bible was just a recollection of ideas from prejudiced minds, influenced by someone who truly did speak truth- enlightened and so free from prejudice.
@@ClarkPotter Christianity isn't from the Bronze Age.
That's survival and power of dominancy need a guidance which may not be how libtards enforce the SNOWFLAKY NICE world softies imagine but how sometimes it needs to be brutal and sometimes it needs to be mild esp. without appeasing a mass!!

We call it “the greatest story ever told” for a reason. It’s not that it’s 100% factual or true, but that it is a foundation by which almost all other stories are constructed or compared to.
This is, hands down, one of the most consequential videos I have watched to-date. It helped me reconcile a longstanding internal conflict that I have been struggling to resolve... pretty much for as long as I can remember really. Thank you Dr. Peterson! You continue to use your voice & knowledge to help others. Very few will ever reach the level of influence & have the level of (positive) impact that you have already achieved. Not only have you reached & helped tens of millions of people over the years, you have also done more to advance humanity, on a mental/ emotional/psychological/spiritual etc level, than almost any other in our lifetime. You are in a very exclusive league of genuine good-doers and I am so very thankful that God sent a gift to his children in the form of Dr. Jordan Peterson!
What is the problem you have? Worrying too much if it’s real or not? Who cares. It’s not important. Live your life and be happy or at least try to. Please don’t believe a man 2000 years ago saved the world and rise from the dead 😂

I used to think I enjoyed listening to Jordan and Joe talk because Jordan was so knowledgeable about what was happening in the world and Joe was so good at getting him to explain it, but now I think the real reason I enjoy them is because it is like listening to two unlikely people becoming great friends.
Exactly
Good point. Most interviewers love to add their two cents which is a distraction of thought.
Joe is that way with so many people, why we like to listen to him!!
He is back! I don’t agree with everything Jordan speaks about but I love listening to him.
See this is the thing I love about JRE listeners. This is not some cult where everyone believes everything every guest/rogan endorses, but rather just enjoy the conversation. People are capable of thinking independently and making up their minds about each subject without painting a person one single color.

I have never heard anyone explain the Bible in that kind of text that was quite an Awakening moment for me
seems the further away society strays from God, the worse it gets. I never really seen peoples problem with the Bible. Teaches great foundations for mankind...lessons...morals
I’m a bit confused in what he was saying in the beginning, but the ending is an eye opener. God is great.
And within the Bible is it’s core revelation that comes from Jesus
“I AM the truth they way and the life”
It’s the massive truth within the truth.
Now they are trying to say “personal truth , my truth”
When people are willing to threw away a fundamental understanding that truth is beyond them , then they establish themselves as gods and givers of truth. What you celebrate , what you get mad at, no path for redemption, only enemies , etc
It’s inescapable that the Bible established inescapable reasoning.
Love how Joe knows just when to let Jordan speak in depth without interruption. Fascinating to listen to both these guys together.
Or maybe Joe didn't know how to talk back to Jordan P. :)

The Bible is the precondition for the truth that our society operates on. Maybe we can look together at how (non)functional our society is and begin to collectively reconsider truth from scratch.
What I hear is that the Bible is the seed of all ideas for our modern culture. Our culture which is destroying itself through over-consumption, divisionary politics and war.
Clean the slate of ideas and start over.
