Thank you! I have been daydreaming about making sweet & sour tofu, lately. I still remember the first time I ordered traditional MaPo Tofu; the description did not mention that there was pork in it, and it was listed in the vegetarian section of the menu. 😳😒 I was not pleased. Yours looks really good!
I absolutely love your recipes and your presentation style. You go straight to the recipe, and make the steps very simple to understand. Very direct and straightforward and you don't waste time.
And may I add very therapeutic to watch too! Just chanced upon this channel today! Gonna make Buddha's delight for dinner 🥣🍽️ tomorrow! Looks so good 👍😊! Ho sek!
Every dish of yours I make turns out amazing! Love the calming music and simplicity of your instruction and even your voice is soothing. I recommend your videos/recipes to everyone I know. Thank you for all your hard work!
Since becoming vegetarian, you are my go to YT channel for cooking ideas. I'm adopting a whole food plant based diet, with less to no oil and occasional eggs & fish (mostly when dining outside as vegan options are still hard). Your recipes help me to fully transit as a vegetarian. My health has improved so much since easting WFPB, I'm also losing weight the healthy way via the Mcdougall starch solution diet. Unlike in the past where I was always hungry & weak (from low carb diet to Intermittent fasting), now I eat until full in every meal, rarely snack and stop eating after 8pm to let my stomach rest.
I have a grandmother who can't eat much meat due to some health conditions and I rly don't know what kind of vegan options I can cook for her. This video helped a lot and I plan on making them for my grandmother to change her diet. Since the dishes are also Chinese I think she'll also enjoy it since we are also Chinese. Thanks Yeung Man.
Oh boy.... mouthwatering......I used to live in Singapore for several years and I still dream of the incredible food variety. This dish I would present with a typical Singaporean addition: a small bowl on the side with my home made freshly pickled sliced green chilies and a small amount of chopped coriander on top. I love your recipes Yeung Man!
Wil, you have the best cooking channel on the internet. You are bringing vegan to a whole new level Your recipes are simple, quick and easy. They all look delicious sometimes my mouth salivates as I watch you perform your great artistry. Your voice and the music helps.
Amazing! Your vegan recipes are by far the healthiest. I can definitely add this to my repertoire. Thank you for sharing. You have a new fan. Btw, love your communication skills and teaching methods too. You re the best!
I wouldn't say the healthiest but definitely some of the tastiest that's for sure. Oil is something that should be avoided it's high in calories and sat fats which increase the risk of heart disease. If you want the healthiest I'd recommend 'Hench Herbivore' or 'The Happy Pear' UA-cam channels. Side note: I don't want to seem as though I'm discrediting Yeung Man Cooking I love his cooking style and it's calming and soothing to watch him cook. He is very inspirational when it comes to new meals that I have yet to cook or try and if I follow his methods other than the oil they always turn out scrumptious and delicious. I just wanted to add that there are healthier cooks out there that you might be interested in checking out.
Oh, I’m so glad to spot the blue and rainbow colors on the bottom of that pan. (3:28) I’ve heard that means the metal is in bad shape and shouldn’t be used for health reasons. Sigh and smile. All my pans are like that and I haven’t been able to find any information on what physical problems a person may have after eating food cooked in a pan like that.
Wow. Three of my favorite dishes: Singapore noodle, Buddha’s delight, and Mapo dofu. But I’m finding how they’re made in San Diego is different than what I’m used to in Toronto. Though I love your vegan variations.
Lay ho ma ! You make me hungry watching your beautiful recipes.you help me decide what i want to eat before i shop haha so many healthy and delicious ideas thankyou so much
just found ur channel and I’m in love! your voice, your hands, and the background song, I love everything. Thank you so much for this recipes, it’ll help me a lot! Greets from Brazil ♥️🌱
Just wanted to say how delicious the chili oil is! It is not as hot as the commercial hot chili oil is that I've been using. The flavor is unique and is great used as part of sauces.
Lovely dishes! Have to try especially the noodles and the Mapo Tofu. That piano piece in the last part is so pretty! It reminds me of my Ballet lessons 🩰😀
Lay ho ma! I love your recipes and the videos - the music, your voice and instructions and of course the food and your meticulous dicing skills! lol I'm getting your book for sure!! Thanks so much!! 😻

The time reference in the bottom left-hand corner says “Maple Tofu.” Such a contrast to the exquisite mapo tofu you’re making
I think the dry shiitake mushrooms is best served if you let it soaks overnight, even you boil it in the hot water, the texture is still woody inside.
