I don't think civic can ever be better than any subaru cuz its front wheel drive. Only thing better about the Honda is they make more reliable motors than subi. But you can't drive civic in a snow blizzard or pouring rain as safe as a subaru with awd. I hate the fact that Honda does not want to include awn system in all their cars.

I just went from a integra gsr to a Saabaru (wrx) and I agree about the Honda being more fun. I'm also scared to beat on mine unlike my integra lol

I love Subaru for pushing the envelope with affordable AWD performance sedans in the WRX even as Mitsubishi abandoned the game. However, until Subaru or Ford/Mitsubishi can match the reliability and value of owning something as mechanically simple and rewarding as the Honda Civic Si. Because of that, a family man that needs to manage his cost and worry about passengers would likely have to lean Si.
I am in the market to get either the 2019 version of either the Civic Si or the WRX. I drove both recently. Interior of the Si is much nicer and just more modern, WRX just pulls harder but does have alot of lag. Hondata tune could fix the HP in the Si, so keep that in mind. the fuel economy of the Si is much better than the WRX and for me it's coming down to gas mileage and insurance cost of owning one over the other. I don't speed much and I am used to FWD with winter tires. I don't autocross or race. Eventhough I love the WRX for practicality I feel I am leaning toward the Civic Si. Is there anything that I am missing?

Just some feedback as an audience. I love the review and comparison but cut down on the space fillers. There was a lot of random conversation not related to the car comparo and more about yourself.
What's the mgp or miles per tank on the si/wrx? I get like 180miles for each tank on my subie lol

My buddy had a badass wrx, after some time he sold it to buy a 8th gen si. At first I couldn’t understand why he would do that. Recently I bought myself a 8th gen si, and i get it now.
My thoughts exactly. I thought of it as a big downgrade, but depending on how you look at it, I was more happy in many ways than with my Civ over the Sube!
