This is a valuable addition to my woodwork collection ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxbnOKZBE4evMO5V2vroHeCjq6d_MV6wJO I still will rate this woodwork plan as the best in my reference library. It always seem to stand out from the rest whenever you go through the library. This is a masterpiece.
As much as I love all the work foureyes does, this is the one I feel like I could actually use in my apartment. Thank you for making it. I intend to get plans in a month or so, and it will be my first real furniture making (no disrespect to Anna White, but you know what I mean)
The stopwatchery, the double-take on the “Toyota” jump, and the outro...oh the outdo was gold. Proof once again that there is magic in the story and the telling. Well done guys.
It's amazing how there are tutorials on UA-cam of practically any of the great designs of the Mid-Century Modern style, including the best sellers. The truth is that wonderful things can be done just by having the right materials at home and the necessary knowledge. I have an LC4 Lounge Chaise that I bought at Manhattan Home Design and I really can't imagine what it would be like to try to make it at home. Thank you for sharing this. :)
Do you really deserve to finally keep one? Hell yes!!!! Really happy for you that you get to keep it! Congratulations on its success.. it has impacted so many of us! Unlocking secrets to make us feel confident enough make and whether it was planned...to design as well. Thank you!
Now that I'm about 75% done building my first Glenn Chair, and reviewing the build in my mind (right now I'm sitting and waiting for the miter joint on the seat panels to dry), I think I've come up with a good 'one man shop' order of operations, that would potentially keep you moving: 1. Build seat panels 2. Build seat sides 3. Trim, miter and join seat panels 4. Make leg assemblies 5. Join Seat and seat sides 6. Join full seat assembly to legs 7. All the finishing That's how I'll try building my next one.
You guys will both live to be well over 100 as you're doing something you both love & having a blast doing it!! Hoping all is well guys, Dirty Jersey out!!
This was the first video of yours I had ever seen on your original channel. It was also the first time I had ever seen a domino and I was like “hmmmm what is this sorcery.....”. And just like that, you cost me 1500 bucks. But it is a game changer and paid for itself with my first two mid century danish reproduction benches. Oh also the first time I had seen templates and flush trim bits (yes I was brand new). Another game changer. Thanks guys. You really make this accessible for the rest of us.
It is a nice design but i don’t know if you have ever sat in a 1930s art deco over stuffed chair but it is heavenly. I have one and it is the most comfortable chair I have even sat in.
I've been watching your videos for a couple years and you guys always helped me to be a better woodworker, tank you for everything.... Filipe Rogers from Brasil
Nice use for the track saw! I can honestly say that never occurred to me. Those chairs are such a classic design. As I write this comment, I am looking at a pair of chairs my parents bought in the fifties, that are very similar. Love your take on them!
My third comment, sorry! This might be the one that actually makes me pull the trigger and but a set of plans. I’ve always admired this chair and it’s pretty approachable and achievable looking, the biggest stopping point is the upholstery aspect of it.
You should look up videos of people re-covering old/thrifted upholstered seats. Just fabric and a staple gun! Very approachable. (I am saying this as someone with experience beyond watching diy videos)
I stole cushions from some patio furniture for the first one I made, then I actually made my own cushions on one later on. After that I just had someone else make them, which is the best way to go, at least for me haha.
Good call using 4 dominos per joint, now you can use it as a tornado/bomb shelter in an emergency. =) Appreciate the time and effort you obviously spent not only building an awesome chair, but editing and putting together an entertaining video.
I would love to build this, along with some of your other projects, but simply don't have the time or tools right now. This seems like the perfect project to a flat pack, RTA, project. I know it goes against your "grain" but if you built the leg/arms, base and back they could be shipped for a lot less money. I would certainly be interested.
That lights out was rough. Am almost sad that you got cut off like that. You guys are crazy fun. This chair would be so at home in a mid century modern home, made classic together with other Eames creations.
I’ve always enjoyed both or your channels individually and I’m glad you guys teamed up. The greater frequency of vids is great and your skits are hilarious. The montage was the nest one yet imo
Watching this years later and miss seeing Shaun and Chris together. Y'all made such a great team. Still love your individual work and watch all your videos, but yall were rad together, too. @shaunboydmadethis

@Danny Bishop Definitely, I have been watching on flixzone} for since november myself :D
The number one thing I incorporated into my wood working that took my quality to the next level....long sleeve flannel shirts.

Best woodworking montage I’ve seen 😂
Haha, glad you enjoyed it!
I wouldn’t even limit it to woodworking. Right up there in quality with any comedy film. Loved it. 🤣

The one minute montage had better character development, story and redemption arch than all of the Wonder Woman 1984 movie. Also cool chair.
Haha, never saw that one, but I will take your word for it! Thanks!
Oh lord. I made it about 15 minutes with that movie and then shut her down.
Such a disappointment considering the first one is still one of the best DC movies.
Sean, You definitely have the craftsman gene in you. You are truly talented, my friend.
Thanks for sharing, Felix
Really appreciate it, Felix! Thanks for watching!
The stopwatchery, the double-take on the “Toyota” jump, and the outro...oh the outdo was gold. Proof once again that there is magic in the story and the telling. Well done guys.
Haha, really appreciate that! We have fun doing all the little fun bits, so glad you are enjoying everything!

What I love most about this channel is that you guys are actually funny😂
We are happy to hear that! Thanks for watching!
Yea, but Looks aren’t everything!
Sorry I couldn’t resist an old jab. Love you Guys!
Really proud of Shaun for running so many degrees.
Thank you! I'm working towards breaking a 6 minute 360.
I loved the 80's music from the last video and now an 80's montage.
Just keeps getting better.
Haha, we are children of the 80's, so just sticking to our roots.
"Put it in a montage!" Thank you guys for that, I needed a giggle. Also, I love this chair.
Glad to hear that! Thanks for watching, Erin!
Loved the presentation style and humor. You are definitely skilled at your craft.
Do you really deserve to finally keep one? Hell yes!!!!

Appreciate it, man! It will be nice to have this final version. And I'm glad that the chair has helped people expand their skills!

I absolutely enjoy watching you two. Besides stunning furniture, you guys are a bunch of goobers.

Haha, I hope so! Thanks man!

That is awesome to hear! Thanks for following along, and glad to hear you are doing great work!
thank you very much! I will do my best to do this project, so that your vision continues to go around the world. Big hug
This is why I look forward to Thursdays. Thanks guys.
Thanks for watching!

Savage ending. I loved watching Shaun Boyd Make That.. again
Haha, thanks man...again!
Wow guys! Just. Wow. You’ve stepped up the quality in a big way.
Really appreciate it, thanks for watching!
Its awesome the 'stopwatch" is an digital angle finder! It made something great, even better!
I've been watching your videos for a couple years and you guys always helped me to be a better woodworker, tank you for everything.... Filipe Rogers from Brasil
That is awesome to hear! Thanks for watching!
simple but not simply 😍
Amazing work, Shaun! This chair is absolute beauty!
Thanks, man! Appreciate it!
Nice use for the track saw! I can honestly say that never occurred to me.

Love your take on them!
You guys are really funny but in a refined, dignified way
That is good to hear! Appreciate it!

You guys might be good woodworkers and furniture builders, but your sense of humor is superior. Just saying. ;)
You guys have too much fun. No, seriously. You’re having too much fun!!!
Don’t stop. 😉
Haha, no plans to stop! Thanks Richard!
Great, as always nothing superfluous, I appreciate the simplicity)
Love the way you show the 3D drawings!!!

Always on time!! Hopefully everybody had a awesome new year!! And by the way, really beautiful project!!
Really appreciate it! Happy new year to you, too!
Thank you!!! I really enjoy your video guys, wish we have more!!!
Man, I gotta try that stopwatch function on my digital angle gauge!
It is handy for those mid-day shop exercises.
I really enjoyed the montage, that was hilarious.
Haha, glad you liked it!
Dominoes really is woodworking on easy mode.. man it would be nice to have that tool, probably saves so much time
Que calidad que tiene sus videos, es muy placentero verlos saludos a todo el equipo
Excellent video! Thanks for making them 👍 Best watched twice, once for the project and then again for the skits.
Haha, appreciate it! Thanks Jason!
The walnut you used is beautiful
Wunderschönes Design.
Sehr gut die einzelnen Bauabschnitt erklärt.
Ich verpasse kein Video von Euch.
Grüße aus Deutschland
Danke!
Always a pleasure to watch you guys.
Really appreciate it, John!
The montage was absolutely on point. Great video.
Awesome, glad you enjoyed it!
Great looking chair!!! I’m nowhere near the skill level to build this yet but hope to one day!
Thank you! Keep working at it and you will be able to knock it out sooner than you think.
Love the tilt block timer 😆
Came for the woodworking. Stayed for the montage
that's the best chair and it was one of the best woodworking videos!🙂
As always, it´s funny to watch... thanks for charing. And the chair is a timelessly beautiful design.
Really appreciate it, thanks!
That lights out was rough. Am almost sad that you got cut off like that.
You guys are crazy fun.
This chair would be so at home in a mid century modern home, made classic together with other Eames creations.
Always stoked for a new four eyes video! Nice work as usual.
Appreciate it, thanks for watching!
Chair wizards!
Awesome

Way to go, Slick!
Chris using the angle gauge as a stopwatch👌🏻
Love this chair. Side note: not sure who edits your videos but they do an amazing job! Love the choice of music too lol
Thank you! We edit our own videos, so I appreciate that!
amazing work! how do you make the upholstery for the chair? is this part of your tutorial as well?
Love the edit at 10:18, had me almost spill coffee all over my laptop. And a great video as usual!
Haha, we even surprised ourselves with how well it came out. Thanks for watching!
Bought my ottoman and chair plans yesterday. Should get started Monday. Can’t wait!!!
Watching this years later and miss seeing Shaun and Chris together. Y'all made such a great team. Still love your individual work and watch all your videos, but yall were rad together, too. @shaunboydmadethis
Missed you guys
Beautiful, enjoy watching you both, as always!!!!
Thank you!
Great build. Great video. Great entertainment. Solid inspiration. Thnx Chris.
Damn...this chair is awesome! I would like one with a orange textile.
Great film. Always so entertaining. Gorgeous chair. Mahalo for sharing! : ) 🐒

Really appreciate it! Thanks!
Ahahahah! You guys rock!
Movies from the 80's won't ever be the same 😅
Haha! Glad you enjoyed it!
It was part White Men Can't Jump and part Top Gun. 😜
I’m really digging the music on this one
Right on! Thanks!
Looks great! ❤️
Thank you!
I do love a good 80's montage.
Love it! Informative, professional quality, funny, inspiring. Thank you!
Beautiful chair Chris! Cool videos also, well done!
Yes exactly what I need
Nice build Shaun, watched it on the old channel and watched it on the new.
Really appreciate it!
Nice work. It's aa beautiful chair.
The ending is really good! LOL
Haha, thank you!
You guys got pretty high on that jump #impressed great video as always
We have about two good jumps in us each day, so we used them well this time.
Why do I keep watching these videos when I don't have the space, tools, money or access to raw materials to try any of this.
Love the chair 😄
Haha, I do the same thing with other subjects! Thanks for watching!
The only thing it needs is a hidden cereal bowl coffee table next to it!
Haha, always need a hidden bowl of cereal nearby.
The seam of the arm/leg joint lined up with the edge of the back at 14:50 is amazing.
Thank you! It is one of my favorite details.
You guys...
Are the best.
Appreciate it!
You guys are the best.
Really appreciate it!
Thanks thanks muchas gracias from Lima Perú.
I love the chair! And the montage was hilarious 😂
Thanks Marylou! That was a fun one!
great work man
I love the video as always!
Thank you!
The scene going into the sponsor was great - and that montage. HAH! You guys are great together. The chair turned out awesome.
Great vid, beautiful chair. Never noticed the flags before. Interesting selection!
Thank you! Those flags were in my old shop, and now just hang in my garage.
I like that "stopwatch" :)
Haha, seems to work best when held at an angle.
Fantastic!!!
Great art work and explanation.
Thank you.
God bless.
Thank you!
