    I am 190 I always been 145 my whole life at one point lower than that I've gained over 50 lbs in the last 4 years and now that I am engaged I am wanting more to be healthy again. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx5VQ5nUzHu6i0O5_u7ipyLnCz0lbsSvr0 I am not fat but I am thick and have muscle. I am very close to how you were but a lil smaller but I am so sick people making comments to me like I'm huge or like you said having shorts that used to be so cute on me and now I can't even find a pair to fit me. I used to love shopping now I don't even want to go to the store and if I do I pick the biggest size don't even try it on and deal with it. I went from size 5 to size idk because I don't even want to know the real number. I hate looking at pics of myself now or me before. thank you for your video it's time to make a change.

      I LOVE SMOKING! My lungs are clear, and my mind has never been fogged because of it. I have 3 different Indian tribes in my lineage, we all smoke! There’s a reason why this matrix wants everyone to quit smoking!

    My mom was cured from her acute lymphocytic leukemia because I gave my mom my stem cells from my blood through a process call apheresis. My stem cells were infused like blood into her system which began to make new blood cells/immune system which over came her leukemic cells and cured her. Stem cells have shown to have great value in treating all kinds of conditions.

      @@purpshiso I don’t believe at that time they we’re doing many half match stem cell transplants. Also there were like only 2 facilities that had the experience in doing this procedure.

    Carnivore for over a year. Very happy eating beef butter bacon and eggs. Fibromyalgia, depression and anxiety have dissolved.

    Well. I eat mainly eggs and fish for protein during my eating days. Two meals max, I eat beef or venison on the weekends. I fast for 24 hours, three days each week. Lost a lot of belly fat and got back to nearly the shape I was in while in the military. The thing is, a lot of these doctors nowadays will tell you not to eat certain things, like eggs and beef, saying it is bad for you and will raise your cholesterol. But, the truth is, it is really about what your body needs. A balanced diet is not the same for everyone. I eat what I eat and how I eat because that is what my body needs. Before I started eating like this, my blood work was always a mess, my LDL was high, and my blood pressure was high. I had major issues with my heart. I was on my way out. Now? I feel great! I am back to my old self. And... just FYI, your gray hairs? They can go away with a proper diet. I have some gray hairs popping up. They went away. So, yes. You can do a bit of age reversal. I am 35 and look like I am 25.

      The gray hairs can go away for sure. I'm 40 and started having those at 35 but now they're gone. I eat a lot of blueberries and fish.

      I was very interested in listening to this doctor Until he made the comment about eating meat. How eating too much meat is not good for you? And that it hurts the planet. This sounds almost like propaganda from the food industry.

    Finally, a Doctor confirms that age has NOTHING to do with weight gain. I am 68 and I am the same weight as when I was 17. I have always had healthy eating habits + I absolutely LOVE cooking. ZERO processed food in my kitchen! I am Homivorous, I refuse extremes, although I do keep my Carbs to a lower level. One gains weight because one eats rubbish (garbage)!

      That’s not entirely true, there are studies that confirm there are some ppl that have a genetic predisposition to accumulating fat even if they exercise and eat right, no processed foods etc. This link is to a vid with a scientist who has done work in this area ua-cam.com/video/Gy_vcL1cpP8/v-deo.html … it all depends on a persons genes, everyone is different & there’s a rise in ppl with these conditions.

      Does everyone have diabetes? No they don’t. Insulin problems cause people to store fat. Everyone also doesn’t get cancer. Everyone doesn’t become alcoholic or drug addicted. People are different at their cellular levels.

      I am 64 yr old female. I eat a healthy diet, low carb, lots of veggies, fish, almond milk, coconut milk, nut cheeses, salmon, sardines, etc.
      I drink nettle tea holy basil tea, matcha and roobios tea.
      I have blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, and some beetroot , blueberry and cranberry juice to lower blood pressure . I eat a variety of nuts, 1 or 2 Brazil nuts a day for blood vessel health.
      I am 5 ft 1 and am 80kgs .
      My mid section is too big, I am pre diabetic with a fatty liver. Have high blood pressure and cholestrol.
      I put it down to a stressful life. My 27yr old lives at home and has BPD. I also care for my aged parents who live with me,. Mother has dementia. I am a full time carer. My weight is not budging, only slowly increasing. STRESS IS A BIG FACTOR. I also have autoimmune disease. I try sleep as well as I can, but have sleep apnea. I wake at least 4x in the night
      To help mum get back to bed. It's a hard one. Caring for years.

      @@susanbarr7582 Feeling so much for you. Yes, stress and sleep reduction will mess with your gut microbiome and keep that weight on. It sounds like you are eating great for your gut, but I wonder if other than the teas, you have tried more even fiber (like psyllium husk and the prebiotics), fermented foods, and supplements (digestive enzymes, minerals, active B vitamins, ION restore) to support the gut? I am typing this before having listened to the whole video, so not sure if Dr. Li brings this up. Regardless and either way, I am sending some positive vibes your way for all you are dealing with.

      @@Iliana___2532 it can be depends how you make. It can be meatless or not - traditional it with meat. The sauce can be made healthy too. My family like both - I like eggplant and zucchini moussaka myself.

      Ok, you're Greek. In Florida I use to love to go to Tarpon Springs to eat at the Greek restaurant. When I ordered certain foods, they gave me this mint jelly with it. To me, mint jelly didn't seem to really go along with the food, lamb, I think it was. I'd take it home and eat it alone, on bread or with chocolate. So what is the mint jelly suppose to to do for the meal?
      BTW, I love making dolmatas, they taste just as they do in the restaurant only homemade I got a lot more for a lot cheaper!😀

      @@mikkikas6821 mint is a complimentary condiment to lamb ? Like the Brits do Lamb with mint sauce. The Brit’s is a runny and a little vinegary sauce but still good with lamb and roast potatoes.Dolmades are one of my favourite too and can be again vegetarian or have some lamb mince in with the rice.

    Dr. Adam Fields has a couple of really great UA-cam videos about exercising the tongue to help with sleep apnea. It sounds funny and it looks pretty crazy while you’re doing them, but they’ve been super helpful for me personally.

    I'm sorry, but, this doesn't account for the skinny people who, not only eat constantly, but literally eat everything (sugar, fat, etc.). plus, they never exercise, and they NEVER gain weight?

      It’s called first stress. Second you don’t know her activity levels. Some people walk around their house all day. Didn’t say portions or when you didn’t see her what she actually ate. And on and on. Maybe she takes laxatives. Maybe she purges. You literally have no clue. For 99% of the population your story doesn’t apply. People have no control. Discipline. Targets. And mindfulness to even eat this way
      Cut out all science. It’s called calories. You’re not seeing what her actual caloric intake is on a monthly basis. Nor her actual life behind doors.

      @@ssing7113 First, I'm seeing a lot more of all these things than you know, and what I don't see she tells me. She tells everyone! She can't keep her mouth shut for more than a minutes. I'm not going to spend an hour explaining her routine to you, but trust me, I know it. I spend every day with her, from the time she gets up until midafternoon. She spends every minute of that on Zoom with me and her other friends. Her camera is always on and we see exactly what she's eating for breakfast, lunch, and snacks. She likes to eat in front of us and flaunt it. Her husband gets back home in the afternoon, and he normally brings her a dinner that he bought either from KFC, or a local seafood restaurant, which has a large number of fried fish, fries, hush puppies, and Cole slaw. She doesn't eat and then leave to throw it all up. Second, she is sitting in front of her laptop for 5-6- hours. I know this for a fact because I'm looking right at her. She doesn't even get up to get her food because her husband brings it to her!

      When you're done with this diet, eat the carnivore diet to get well. I assure you that you'll feel so much better and get healthy on the carnivore diet or the ketogenic diet (a very low carbohydrate diet). I'm living proof. I'm healthier, bp down, 30#'s lost, never have to go hungry, got rid of two toxic meds, and more. I highly recommend it. Search #carnivore diet.

    I still think that some people have high metabolism. I graduated H.S. in 1967 weighing 135 lbs wearing a 29" waist pants. I am now 74 years ago and weigh 135 lbs and wear a 29" waist pants. I even lived on 8,000 calories a day for TWO years and didn't gain weight (I was trying to be a body builder).

      Have you had a heart CAC scan - calcium score of your heart. It’s the best test for heart health.? At 74 same size as a kid you have done well and yes I too think we are all different and one size doesn’t fit all. I was born 1949 and wear the same pant size as when 18 yrs too. I have had a very physical life and am still very physical. Keeping active to me is the key.

      @@shantishanti1949 I had a colonoscopy at age 65. Other then that the last time I was at a doctor was in the spring of 1969. No doctor blood tests and one $4 prescription in my adult life. My b/p is normally about 112/67 my sugar is on the low side (I dated a diabetic) but my uric acid level is a bit high last time I checked (6.0).

I work in and on my work shed and fixing up cars I have acquired, I volunteer for coast guard and swim a lot... diet has never been a thought because I have stayed slim and fit.

      @@314Thethirdeye08 Health is more important than anything so keep eating healthy and try your best. My cousin is lean and fit and he got stomach cancer. Seven years ago they removed his entire stomach, half his esophagus and three brain tumors. He has been living without a stomach for seven years. Keep watching health podcasts and do your best.

      Only if you find you are sensitive to nightshades, which will cause joint pain. Very, very small percentage of people have sensitivities to nightshades.

      I used to think that, too, but now I eat tomatoes. They produce more polyphenols if you heat them in a little olive oil. Fresh tomatoes are good, but are even healthier when cook or heated.

    The snoring is EXACTLY what happen to me.. when I was smaller… I was NEVER told that I snore… I gained about 40 pounds in a span of 5 years and now I have been told I snore… 130lbs to about 170lbs… smh

    Regarding slow metabolism.. I believe that to be true…I was very thin up until my mid forties… the only reason for my weight gain was because of poor diet that came out of a relationship that stressed me out 😂😂😂😂

    💐I really learned a lot from this podcast.I have already started doing some of these healthy practice as well as learning a lot from this.I am 67 years old and have just retired from the workforce.I am generally healthy but carrying a little weight.I am determined to lose tgem . My good Health is significant in my Independence. It is never to late to start.Prevention is better than cure.Thank you Dr. Li for this podcast.👍🙏👏Medditerasian.I like that.🥰

      U sound like me. I retired at 67 1 yr a go cause I needed a hip replacement couldn't walk without a cane to painful. It's been a yr. It's finally coming along. Now I have tinnitus. From what I don't know. Sucks. Have to loose 40 pds it's toooo hard

      @@annemoretti3173 you can do it. I was bmi 30 mid belly fat. A1c 10.1 and fasting bld sugar 327! I watched videos from Sten Eckberg, Dr. Pradip Jamnadas. Quit all processed food, all sugar, all processed meats with sugar, all snacks. Went to intermittent fasting and eat 2 times per day or 1 time if 24 hr fast. Water and coffee black only. In 14 days lost 9 pounds. Some was water wt due to high sugars. But with glucose monitoring I have average blood sugars in 130s now, and fbs went from 189 two wks ago to 90s now. Try their recommendations. Read all the responses for ideas and testimonials. I am 62, female.

      @@annemoretti3173 A carnivore diet aids healing and will enable you to lose weight without undue hunger. Don't know if it helps tinnitus. I had that, too, but it went away eventually. Hopefully, it will for you, too.

      I am in my second week of my intermittent fasting.I have my black coffee as soon as I wake up 7-8 am in the morning. Half hour of low impact exercise and I walk 30 mins. every other day.I drink water and green tea.I don't eat anything until 11am.Very mindful of portion and what I put in my mouth. I have a light meal again @ 6pm. And I don't eat again the next day until 10;30-11:30?in the morning. I don't have the need to snack in between.Today I had a 16 hour gap before eating I seemed to have got full quickly. I will try my 18 hour gap tomorrow. Am really feeling good and looking forward to see great results.🥰👍

      Life expectancy of 83 for males Hong Kong. 88 for Women. They say due to no smoking and little poverty. That age for males and females is the norm average. There is little difference- a year here or there for most non poverty countries if your a non smoker. Not eating processed food is the sensible thing. Keeping active also. This video was far far too long.

    This is really great information. However, people do also have to consider what they can financially afford. Grass fed beef, pasture-raised chicken isn't in everyone's budget. I wish it were.

      I sympathise with this point but it is important to reflect that any animal products that have been minimally processed are fabulous. Pork is cheaper, minced meats, canned fish, eggs. Eskimo people would give the leanest meat to the dogs and ate the fattest parts themselves. You can try on yourself; eat super lean chicken breast and see how much you can manage to eat and enjoy, and another meal eat fatty belly pork and compare. Also note how long you remain sated after each meal. You don’t have to eat primo cuts, it’s all meat.

      Just apply every advice but without the "organic" for now and once you're in a place that you can, go for it! I'm pro organic and buy everything organic but the only difference between organic and non-organic is the pesticides and chemicals load but nutrition wise it is the same. So just start by addind various nutrient-rich food to your diet and you'll be a long step ahead :)

    Red meat not good for you and unsustainable?
    Been carnivore 9 months and never felt better in my adult life. Only need to eat 2 times a day because animal products are densely nutritious and satiating.
    Regenerative farming is highly sustainable.

    I don’t know if this is actually new info. I currently calculate my clients metabolism based on their body fat. The higher the body fat the lower the metabolism. I have been doing this for a while. The same can happen if you don’t eat enough. Under nutrition results in decreased metabolism as well.

      People keep telling me this but it doesn't make sense with the "set point". When I lose weight... I get stuck and can't lose anymore... then I start gaining -- until I reach my set point. Because my set point is the point at which my calories burned per day more or less matches what I am eating.

    Thank you for the amazing chat with Dr LI. Drhu, You bought up the omega subject and I too. Even though I am clean plant based whole food eater kept getting bloods back with high omega 6 and low omega 3. The lab kept telling me to cut out things I didn’t even eat. However I have now raised my omega 3 intake with fish oil and I now eat eggs (as I was vegan) and my results are much better. However we all different right ! Doesn’t mean there is something wrong with you. 😊

      4yrs vegan plant based here, never had a problem with omegas, there's plenty of omega 3s in, flax and hemp seeds, 1or2 tablespoons is plenty a day.. Other decent sources are walnuts, edamame, seaweed and chia seeds!

    On the breakfast - the circadian rhythm actually determines more active use in the morning. Same colories in taken in the night would lead to more fat being stored for example. So it is not only that calories depend on source, on presence of fibers, but also when they are taken.
    I do however, also skip breakfasts - much easier to skip than dinner :-(

    Dont rush the preperatipn of food. I love that.. take time. Even lunch hoùr... + travel time if you have too.. my family always did this. Nowadays everyone is rush rush rush. Even schoold no time to eat properly we got an hour and half for lunch. With time to digest food. Dont know school times in USA, but in Ireland it is only a holf hour ir at most 45 minutes. Nit enough time to savour foid or have some relaxiñg exercise. In france where i had to susters they had and made time to eat leisurely....i lobed your talk. Thanks.

    My baby wasn't fat and neither was I as a baby After about 6 months the doctor finally said well that's just who he is. Now he is 8 and still skinny.

      My neighbors kids were the same. Looked like naked chickens. Now they are school age gorgeous and still skinny very fit and just wonderful. I wish i was born that way too! Being thin is a healthy life. I struggle with weight and would love to switch places with your child anytime skinnier people are even proven to live longer we all want to live a long life so I think it is a total blessing for your child and even my neighbors they are thin and adorable I hope it stays that way for them also nobody wants to battle lifelong health issues or to even try to bounce back from something that could be killing them like their weight literally crushing their insides God bless you and your wonderful child

    Cardio makes you fat, non muscle producing which burns fat.
    Resistance training, in addition to diet, produces muscle that burns fat even during a resting stage.

      @@EmpatheticEmpress agreed Queen! The same happens for me….. when I do Intermittent fasting, I get to a point where I get so ravenous, I almost can’t control my hunger and I’m more prone to snacking (and making bad food choices later in the evening!)…..
      We don’t have junk food in our home ever, because I don’t want to be tempted to eat it…. But by bad choices, I mean…. Overeating when I don’t need to eat….
      When I eat oatmeal or a bowl of granola I am not nearly as hungry and will eat a healthy portion at dinner and then no eating after the evening meal…

    Studies are shown to be flawed all the time. This is not true. I eat far less than I did in my teenage years, and put on more. I can eat 1 egg a day and still be gaining weight. He never took into account women's hormones, which is HUGE.

    Red meat is "generally not healthy for you"?????? Ever heard of *regenerative agriculture?* I agree that our industrially raised meat is not the best choice and certainly not good for the planet, but grass-fed meats give us all we need to survive. Plus pasture-raised eggs and chicken, wild-caught fish, seafood, etc.

      Carnivore for 9 months and never felt better.
      Health is great. Lots of energy and never hungry. I can eat once or twice a day no problem. I implement intermittent and prolonged fast. I exercise and get sunlight.
      If campaigns were set to promote this way life rather than everyone being addicted to carbs and processed food, regenerative farming would be very sustainable.
      You know what isn't sustainable? 80% of people suffering frommsome sort of metabolic syndrome. This is the real epidemic and no wonder the the health care system is so overwhelmed.

      @@Healing_Decibels The labels I see say things like "100% grass-fed" or "grass-fed and grass-finished." They also have various symbols from humane associations and/or regenerative agriculture organizations. All cows are grass-fed for the first part of their lives. It's the grain feeding at the end that's a problem, which you would know if you ever drove by a feedlot. Yuck.

    I was with you until you said to eat water with your meal. People do this and then wonder why they aren’t digesting their proteins! The stomach needs acid to digest. Please realize that undigested food going into the intestines causes serious problems in the gut! Thanks!

    You need to talk to the people more. Iv never heard anyone talk about fat this way, Thinking there is a live parasite inside my body make me think of fat completely different.     Just my own take on dairy, to add to the subject if anyone is interest. My doctor gave me this pill once to try to help my acne because even contraceptive pills weren't helping, I don't really know what was in it, but anyway. That was past my mid-20s and still having acne issues. You could take the pill if you weren't pregnant and agreed not to consume any dairy during that time, 1-2 months. It worked. But then after she took me off that pill, I was like... "hmmmmm what if I keep not eating dairy". Well, it was hard because I love my cheese and my plain yogurt a lot. So I started reintroducing those, no acne. Then I tried a few more things, and still no acne. The moment I took milk.... I got acne, right the day after. And of course after a few days it was gone again, unless I kept drinking more milk the next days.
    Sour cream can also trigger it if I take a lot of it (like several times in a few days, repeating a meal or something) but cream somehow is fine. I can use cream in coffee or those barista nut/soy milks work well too. I don't really eat cereals anymore so that's alright, I think you need that fatty content in milk so that it tastes good, nut milk doesn't quite do it in my opinion. I can cook also with nut milks, for oatmeal, cookies, etc. And if I cook, I'll just buy cream and dilute it with water instead like for mac and cheese, since I can keep that cream in the fridge longer and just use it when I need to. So it looks like what triggers acne for me are sugars in general, lactose being one of them. Sucralose, typical sugar, almost any type of sugar except for honey, maple syrup and those 0 calorie sugars like erythritol, at least I've never eaten enough of those to trigger acne. I looked up the lactose amount in each type of dairy and milk has at least 2-3 times more lactose than any other product, so since I'm not super sensitive to it, it'd be very hard for me to get acne from anything else unless I ate a lot more of them. I just stopped milk and it resolved the problem. Another thing I didn't realize until way later: after having milk I'd get itchy, like after every meal I would scratch my back and just have this reaction, like an allergy, but it had been this way all my life so I never even thought about it.
    Now, milk is a really good drink, it has fat and protein and it's like a "quick snack" I used to drink after exercise and coming home later in the day. I haven't yet found any other such easy product to gulp down the same way I used to with milk, there's an extra effort needed to provide myself with a replacement, like snack prepping. I'm trying to up my protein content and with plant-based drinks it's not the same kind of macronutrient content, but that's just something to keep in mind.

      There are 28 different versions of "milk" in the grocery store with varying degrees of growth hormones, antibiotic, cows fed hay soaked in poisonous seed oils, grains sprayed with various chemicals...how can you lump them all together as "milk" without acknowledging the pesticides, spectricides and drugs ? YOU CANNOT

    We inherit in our personal DNA, thousands of years of an ancestral diet. People of European heritage do best with a lot of meat, dairy, root vegetables and summer greens. No dietary advice is applicable to every ethnic group.

    When we eat a proper human diet, it’s hard to overeat. The clicker is that your tummy gets full, and if you overeat, you will get sick
