I'm always so grateful you made all of these. My 2016's OEM battery is finally completely dead. I spent last year just carrying a jump box with me 😅. So this week this is my project. 🎉
I'm happy I can help 😀👍
Thank you!
Lol thanks man! Bike is looking good. Just got a scrambler and I was trying to find how to remove the seat to store my paperwork and this hit the spot!
very good no nonsense video -just bought scrambler!
As always Albe you made an easy job look even easier to do.. Ciao
Thanks man, ciao.
Thank you! Hope it works same way with my Monster 797
Good luck 👍
"...easier to lose some belly" LOL! - Good advice dude - I will try that :D
Also, thanks for the tutorial!
No problem man 😁👍
very nice!!! i just love the scrambler shirt. Thanks!
Yes, I agree on putting the seat key on the high side, never agreed with their thinking on this either. Maybe they think since it is on the side one gets off an on then one will not have to walk around the bike but I think it would be easier to reach over or walk around the bike than bend down.
My best guess is, because of the exhaust system, the key hole seems to be on the opposite side of the exhaust, but that is just a guess, who knows what those engineers think, lol
@@AlbesADV Yes Possibly.
Hi Albe, big fan of your work... I just recently purchased a pre-loved 2016 Ducati Scrambler. Love the bike, hate this pre-existing issue of hard starting... Reduction from the starter motor is there, but, it takes a long time for the engine to fire. What are the things I need to do to rectify this. Thanks and keep it up Sir!
Hi Ramil, the first thing I would do is to look at the spark plugs and make sure the battery is in good condition, maybe add some injectors cleaner to your next top off
Which battery did you get to replace it?
Hi, sincerely I don't remember, it was a while ago, I looked up the battery code (i.e. yt12 or ab7 etc) and got an equivalent on Amazon
Do you have any reviews video of seat? I have 2016 full throttle. I am not finding it comfortable. Any suggestions?
Hi Dhaval, unfortunately no, neither review or suggestions, I never gave it much thought
Albe's Adv thanks for your reply
I put a Mustang seat on my classic. Much better!.
I have to try, I drive 100mi last weekend. My ass burning after ride.
How did you reconnect the terminals so easily. I cant quite get the angle right for the positive terminal.
I'm not sure, I just put them back exactly as they were, no struggle for once.
@@AlbesADV I assumed it would be simple as well done that before for Honda and Yamahas...
@PakistaniMetalhead the simplest tasks on a Ducati have been engineered to maximum inconvenience 😆
After taking my ducati scramber to the 36,000 km service at a ducati dealer in Mexico City , I changed the battery and afterwards the dashboard did not show some parameters like velocity ( instead a - - - appears ) , trip 1 , etc . The engine and ABS icons now are yellow . What I did wrong ? I followed your video exactly ...
Replacing a battery shouldn’t affect the abs in any way, maybe something got disconnected or partially disconnected as you were moving wires around or a fuse as blown. If the engine and abs icon are on and it doesn’t display any speed, maybe is the speedometer wire since the ecu uses speed to adjust the abs. Let me know when you figure it out.
Did you find out what happened? I just replaced my battery and now the ABS engine light is on.
@@AlbesADV :) speriamo di no! Io sono alto 1,86 m secondo te la moto e' troppo piccola per me? Nel senso di dimensioni, non di motore.
Anche io sono 1 e 86 cm, non credo sia troppo piccola, è più o meno come un monster 800
Did it start after
Yes
Spent almost 2 hours tranna put a battery on 😂
well not me… my friend….
I’m a bike mechanic and I knew how to do it but I just didn’t tell him 😂
🤣🤣 mean!
“The odometer value is saved permanently and cannot be reset under any circumstances.
The reading is not lost in case of a power OFF (Battery OFF).”
“If a string of flashing dashes " ----- " is displayed within odometer function, please contact a Ducati Dealer or Authorised Service Centre.”
“Odometer Update
The DUCATI diagnosis instrument allows performing a series of activations to check some instrument panel functions and resetting parameters or warning lights. After each activation, the instrument panel will restore its standard functions.
Note
The activations must be performed only with key turned to ON, engine off and battery voltage ≥ 11.0 V.
This function allows copying the km value saved in the odometer when replacing the instrument panel or the engine control unit (ECU).
When replacing the instrument panel or the engine control unit (ECU), it is necessary that the authorised dealer copies (*) the km value to the new control unit using the DDS Diagnosis Instrument.
Until this procedure is performed, the instrument panel display will show some flashing dashes “-----” instead of the Odometer value.
The procedure is successfully completed when the display shows the odometer value. (*): for the "procedure" to be followed with the DDS instrument to be added in the Workshop Manual, contact the SERVICE.”
well, you left out the part of the sticking boot on the positive terminal and what a bear it is to remove and put back on. very sugar coated video.
Hi Bernardo, I bought the bike used and the boot on the positive terminal was already pushed to the side as you can see @ min 2:07 so I didn’t experience such hard times removing it.
@@AlbesADV Very easy to remove but a prize PITA to get back on!. Yet another piece of engineering that was designed by someone who never had to work on it.
😆 so true 👍
I lost one of my washers somewhere in the bike struggling with this 😢
@PakistaniMetalhead i know how it is, they fall down and disappear
