Getting 19 assists from the team with only Sanchez doing justice to his passes is just unbelievable. In any other top top team, that season would have given him 35 assists.
For real, he and Sanchez carried Arsenal at that time, plus with the directive fucking it up on Sanchez last years it went downhill right away. Ozil was a baller for sure

Özil was an absolute mastermind. Sad his career come to an unworthy end and indeed hoped we will see him back at his home club Schalke, but our situation was simply to bad. I have huge respect for him that he always spoke out his mind ("in good times i'm german, in bad times i'm turkish") and showed off field engagement for very important but uncomfortable topics (persecution of chinese muslims) while risking his own career. Also I cheered him up for always admitting his own faults (bad greedy management in his first years, personal decisions, etc.). Sadly most germans still feel offended when some players can adapt to two nationalities/cultures...
That’s messed up. Americans don’t seem to face the same problem. There are so many dual national players and their home countries aren’t hostile to eachother unlike Germans and Turks
You can't even blame him for that, he wasn't a citizen until he was 16 and a footy talent being scouted. Of course he will identify with what he was raised to be seen as.
He was one of the key figures at winning the 2014 WC. Without him, I truly think we wouldn't have completed the knock-out stage. I feel bad for what was done to him because of his political believes. He was treated poorly by the german public.

He was by far my favorite player in his prime. He played at my club Werder Bremen and then at Madrid, he was one of the absolute best and just a joy to watch. I am a german and it gets me furious every time listening how other germans are talking about him. They have no clue, they are reducing him on the picture with Erdogan. They have no clue what a diamond we had. He was one of the best german players of all time!!!
Don't care much about the Erdogan thing, but you have to remember two things: -When that happened, his career was already in freefall and that event just destroyed him further, particularly as it was not a great period of Arsenal's history and was followed by Germany's crash at the World Cup in 2018; -As you say, Ozil's best years were with Werder and Real. He deserves immense plaudits for that. Yet what we mostly hear about is how brilliant he was in... England, where he had the worst periods of his career. He deserves to be remembered for all the good things he did prior to moving to Arsenal, after that not so much.

Was it him or the strikers fault, but that is something hard to get over... Amazing player, always loved him even though he played for clubs I don't support
Totally agree. There is a reason Real Madrid won so much after Ozil left. They filled his position with better workrate...Real were better without Ozil.....sorry to say, but its the truth

Mesut Özil is a hard case. Because I'm German, the subject of Özil often comes up and I've talked and argued with others about him a lot. In my opinion, Özil is perhaps the most talented player Germany has ever had. He was absurdly good, his understanding of the game, his vision, he saw spaces and opportunities before they were there. He was creative, technically unbelievably good, could dribble and decide 1 vs 1 situations for himself, something that only a few in the German national team, could do. He was the perfect playmaker and a joy to watch. He had the potential to become one of the greatest of all time. But then there was also the other side of Özil, a very frustrating side. He was undisciplined, lazy and and a difficult human being from time to time. His body language on the pitch was often questionable, when the game wasn't going his way he would get frustrated and sometimes stop playing. He was the kind of player we in Germany call a "Schönwetterfußball", that means a player who only performs when it's going well. Beyond the appropriate criticism, Özil has received a lot of racism in Germany. Even tho he was born and raised in Gelsenkirchen(Schalke), many Germans could not appreciate him simply because of his turkish roots. Now that his career is over, Mesut Özil will forever be one of the biggest "what if's" in modern football for me.
only that he never recieved lots of racism because of his turkish roots. gündogan is loved here in germany as well. why? because he is a likable person. he is intelligent, and never says or does stupid shit. özil on the other hand like you said was a lazy slob and this is why he recieved so much hate from us. btw not taking pictures with a dictator helps as well. imagine a scenario where müller or neuer takes pictures with hitler, how would people like that? yes gündogan did it as well but we all know that he is a good person and he apologized so we forgave him. stop playing the race card because it has always been his own fault.
He doesn't need to show "work-rate", that's an excuse. Germany had so many good solid options for ball holding and midfield control, the last thing you want is you creative genius getting into tackles and risking injury all the time. Guys like Pirlo and Ozil , Juan Riquelme , Paolo Sosa, make up for "work rate" with their creative talents. The rest of the team knows this and covers for it, or makes the right calls in behind. These guys are even more precious because the modern footballer is an absolute machine at doing the basics, they can all tackle, run , press etc, but very few of them can do what Ozil did and have that ball on a string. You can see that with the 2022 Argentinian team, which was entirely setup around Messi and in the semi against Croatia you could see how that worked when he turned it on against Gvardiol. In tight games you need an Ozil, a Pirlo, a Messi , a Zidane to bring magic that is the 1% differentiator and wins you games. Germany should have built an entire team around Ozil, and when he wanted to leave Arsenal, brought him back to Bayern or Dortmund or even Werder and stuck him cotton wool.
@@Dir3ctH3X I never said he had to get into tackles or help out defensively to show "work rate". That's not what I meant and nobody expected that from him. When things weren't going well or he simply didn't feel like it, he also neglected his offensive duties from time to time. He no longer sprinted for the ball or gave up after a few steps, hung his head, didn't really offer to get the ball or to get involved in the game. He started to play the safe pass instead of trying something more risky, his standards got worse, he took a lot of very bad penalties in important situations, he just seemed unmotivated.
@@Dir3ctH3X so much bs in that comment. btw ozil wasn't even good enough for bayern, dortmund or bremen when he left arsenal. why should we try and save his career? he never gave a shit and didn't give us anything. we don't owe him anything. he is just 1 of thousands of players who wasted their career by being lazy. I can assure you that nobody in germany gives a shit about ozil and nobody wanted him back in germany.
@@therodian96 That just speaks to bad management to be honest. Mourinho got a tune out of him. A manager that doesn't do magic on the best of days. Confidence players need nurturing, even Messi decided he'd had enough of the Albiceleste at one point and walked out until they begged him to come back
Imagine him and Modric forming Madrid's dynamic midfield duo. 🤯 And in that alternate reality, Kroos would stay with Bayern and not get transferred to Madrid.
Ozil is my favourite player in Arsenal aside from Dennis Bergkamp. He's so great even bring Germany to win World Cup. So sad his career ended because of absurd accusation.
As an Arsenal fan I was beyond excited when we got him, back then he was one of the best players in the world. And he was good for a couple of years but at a certain point he just stopped working hard, it like he didn't care anymore. Some players fall out of love with the game, it's sad but it's true.
@bigjockknew7277 i really don't think so, he has the most created chances in the history of the premier league, he was in arsenal in a time where there was no good striker. He played the same way in arsenal the same way he did in real Madrid. Then why did he flop, you bring a world class player to a bad team. He was the major factor for the club winning something in the last 7 years
You should mention that Gündogan became Germany captain despite being on that same photo with Erdogan. But he distanced himself from that - while Özil made Erdogan the best man at his weddung!!
Klose & Podolski never cried racism because ppl where critical of them. Maybe look at Gündogans (the other guy on the photo you conveniently left out of your report) reaction after WC'18. He gave an answer on the pitch and is still well respected and the captain of the team.
Another German offended and putting it on the migrant to prove themselves. Instead of showing the same level of respect to a player of TUrkish descent, you expect them to go above and beyond to proof they are worthy. There's is alot of information missing in a certain part of this video. Germany is one of several nations that leans heavily on Jus Sanguinis instead of Jus Solis (birthright citizenship). As a result, Klose and Podolski are automatically Germans because they are Aussiedler since they had German Ancestors from the Prussian Province of Silesia. Because of the wars, part of their ancestors became emigrants. Both of them had the option of "Right to Return" to Germany. Even if they were born outside of the country, they're still Germans; hence Jus Sanguinis.
this video is extremely poorly researched and uses a populist narrative to act like Özil was somehow an unfair outsider case, when in reality this is simply just the norm of how citizenship works.
Can you please do a video about an African player called Abutrika he is one of the best players in Egypts history that didn't play in Europe. Just follow Manual Josey to al ahly and you will find a story worth telling.
Abutrika is a very good shout. I would say also Hossam Hassan, Mahmoud El Khatib or goalkeeper Essam El Hadary who was always defying age. Those would be the best examples from Egypt’s past.
He got trapped in between politics regarding Germany and Turkey. I wish he had a bit more of the character quality of Kroos/Klose/Lahm. But when he had a good day, you witnessed true greatness. His passes were so light to the touch. Incredible player. And world champion for his Vaterland, you can’t rewrite that.
Turkish politics and european. And he wasnt trapped, he chose to be close to erdogan. And this happened while he started to regress, run less and contribute less and less. He still had great assist number at arsenal however but there also ran less
Zlatan had the same problem... He fought through. When Sweden wins a match!!! The SWEDE ZLATAN scored. When they lose! The Bosnian Zlatan lost. It seems no one stood by Özil's side which is sad . But! A world cup title, that can't be removed from the history. Danke schön 👏👏
So we’re completely ignoring the fact that Ozil played for Germany and was the only player with migrant roots who openly supports a radical foreign nationalist movement? Try that in any other country and you’ll have problems
Hated by many but loved by God. For example, Özil donated his prize money of $329,000 after winning the World Cup in 2014. He donated to the Big Shoe project and financed vital surgeries for 23 children in Brazil. Additionally, Özil and his wife donated to 16 refugee camps in Turkey and Syria after their wedding. Their contribution provided food to about 100,000 people. Furthermore, the couple funded important surgeries for about 1,000 children around the world. This is what Özil done. Great person, always I enjoy seeing him playing soccer.
One of the biggest reason why Özil is disliked by many germans is because he is super pro Erdogan (turkish president) who many see as a dictator with questionable policies and morals. He also would never sing the national anthem and was very on-or-off when it came to performance. I don't think it's plain racism. Ofc I can't speak for everyone tho.
At Real I noticed Jose had a habit of taking Ozil off on the hour mark, that worried me. Then when Arsenal signed him it was like buying a cherry without having a cake to put it on. I’ll be honest I loved his ability but he was never going to work with the set up we had then, right club wrong time.
I'd say he should/should've stayed away from politics or, even better, re-examined his own views. Also: I've always resented his remarks about being treated as a "foreigner" when things went badly. That simply isn't/wasn't the case. I mean... he was on the national team when having folks on there who looked much less "traditionally German" than him was already the norm. Just think Cacau or Boateng for example. Also don't forget Klose or Podolski whose passport-situation was comparable to Özil's ... and yet .. I don't recall any of these other players (including those with African roots) getting either criticized over their heritage nor them using their roots as a shield to deflect criticism. Özil always struck me as a bit of a hyper-sensitive primadonna with insane talent. But that's where the problem was, I think. On his best day, he could single-handedly turn the tide on the pitch, but on his not-so-great days, you'd barely notice that he was playing. And when you dared to point out that he hadn't had a good day, then that made you ... racist? Oh, and then there's the whole deal of him being a huge fan of Erdogan and apparently supporting a super far right, Turkish terrorist organization ("Grey Wolves"), even going as far as getting a tattoo of their logo.
Ozil at Werder and Real Madrid was phenomenal, both for club and country. At Arsenal he was largely disgusting particularly after the first 3 years, but the Premier League hype machine would make you believe that Real Madrid had made a mistake selling him (same thing happening with Odegaard now) and that the brilliant Ozil was single-handedly carrying Germany to a World Cup title when in fact Muller, Klose, Gotze, Schweinsteiger, Khedira, Lahm and Kroos were the key players that year. Real Madrid were winning title after title without him, Ozil moved to England and competed for FA Cups and 4th place medals...
It basically was mentioned in a single sentence in the video...and it was by Mourinho calling him a coward. Özil got most of his assists when the score or the game didn't matter (anymore). Big games? He was nowhere to be found. He's a prime example for putting statistics over anything else. Real getting 50m for him was a great deal for them and not for Arsenal.
Premier league is a much tougher environment to play in compared to Bundesliga or La Liga. No league compares to the Premier League in terms of challenges. In La Liga and Bundesliga, there is 2-3 teams max that are ever good and in Premier League there is at least 7 or 8 teams that all are very good, and have history of being good.
Ya many people compared him with khedira as they played together in the national team and madrid and were ethnically the same. But people never criticized khedira bc he gave 100% every game his criticism would be more of a lack of skill then anything. Basically I beleive people were harsh on ozil bc he was lazy but had all the talent and everyone hates wasted talents more then anything.

I hate it but we have a lot of racissim left here
On the field Özil was one of the best and smartest players in the world. When you are born in Germany you get the same citizenship as your parents. If one them is German you can get a German passport. But Germany doesn't allow dual citizenship, so you have to decide. When you live for more than 10 years in Germany you can decide, if you want to become German, but until you are 18 years old, your parents have have to support that decision. In 2018 Özil not just posed with Erdogan for a photo, he also gave him jersey wiith the dedication "for my beloved president", which lead to the discussion, if a German national player should call the porseident of another country his prseident, especially if that president is a dictator like Erdogan. Even before that event Özil had bought a house in Turkey and called Erdogan a freind. Because Germany has a big Turkish community, this can be seen as a poltical statement. The photo lead to critisism to the nomination for the tournament in 2018. Gündogan made a public apology for the photo, but Özil didn't. Nevertheless both nominations were publicaly critizised before the tournament. But afther the tournament the DFB officials put all the blame on Özil for the poor performance of the German squad. But Özil was still one of the best German plyers in that tournament. The DFB handled the whole situation poorly and DFB prsident Reinhard Grindel had to leave his job some month later, because of his poor handlingof the situation. In his first two years at Werder Bremen Özil was more a backup player for Diego. He was a starter in the Europ Cup final, because Diego wasn't allowed to play because of a yellow card ban. But in the following season Diego left and Özil beacame the key player.
Most immigrants experience what Ozil experienced. Western countries are mostly tolerant when it fits their agenda, otherwise to them you will always be an outsider.
I mean, when your agenda ia to insult Germany as a whole, like Erdofuck does, then dont be surprised to not be liked. Other then that, racism certainly is a problem in Germany, but the reasons most dont like Özik is something else. He is a pos afterall
He wasn't wrong when he said "In their eyes I am german when we win and an immigrant if we lose" considering I know someone who was in the Bundeswehr (german military) when they lost that match against south korea, he got spit on by fellow germans because of that .... he's vietnamese but in that moment they didn't care it seems. BUT Özil still kinda ruined his career himself for the most part by adressing things that may be for the right cause but you also can't say as an active player without hurting your career, Gündogan equally was targeted and bounced back from all this perfectly fine, so the fact özil always tried to blame others made a lot of people dislike him, everything he said felt like an excuse just to back it up with more controversy. It's a pity really, he's been on my list to become an all time great in germany when he played at real madrid.
He didnt even sing the german anthem, and had consistend ties whit Dogan and Turkey. Clearly he never felt and acted german. He didnt acted german when he won, but whanted to be seen as one when he lost.
@@stefankatsarov5806 it wasn't just özil who didn't sing the anthem, Khedira, Podolski and Boateng didn't sing it either at all times iirc and tbh there is nothing wrong to respect your ancestory but what him and gündogan did was outright wrong as an active national player. also idk how one does act german over a win, he did make valid points that there was and probably still is a big racial debate including tons of hypocrisy that's still floating around in the DFB but he didn't really care until he was targeted, meanwhile gündogan understood what was so wrong about it and proceeded with his career normally. It's not that özil isn't as german as any other player in the national team regardless of their ancestry it's just that he's a big baby and unprofessional
First time i saw Ozil play was with his national team before his move to Real, didn't watch Bundesliga back in the day,i fell in love with the way he played, for me he is one of the best playmakers of all time!
Özils stupidity created özils problems. Not racism, not Germans, not mourinho, not wenger, not Emery. The “racism” claim seems to work when you think “oh yes, I can see how maybe Germans who’ve been known to have a racist opinion or two historically could treat a Turkish descendant poorly”. But then you see his behaviour in his club teams that his managers hated, and it’s exactly how he was for the national team as well. He was a great player, his biggest problem is he wasn’t as good as he thought he was. He thought he should have the special treatment of Ronaldo or Messi, and he was not in that league. From demanding jersey numbers off the pitch, to putting in 30% effort games on the pitch, Özil turned out to be not worth the effort of dealing with his drama for teams.
Özil had already been in critique beforehand because he refused to sing the German anthem before international matches. Which was upsetting because it was sending the message of not being willing to integrate in and associate with the country that provided a home for his family for three generations. When he posed openly with the Turkish president during a time of heated international relations, that just fueled the perception that his allegiance is not with Germany but with Turkey. If you're trying to blame it on racism or xenophobia then you can only be trying to sell a narrative. If anything, he segregrated himself, not the other way around. Which is his free choice, but he must be ready to receive criticism for it. And criticism is just that. Criticism. It's not cruelty.
He also never said anyting bad about Dogans policies or Turkeys treatment of the Kurds and yet spoke about China. It was aways clear he himself was biased for one or another group and had doble standarts for sertan things. Using his own words a bit, he never acted german when he won, but wanted to be seen as one when he lost.
@@stefankatsarov5806 the whole Uygur thing is also just barking uop the wrong tree, because the West for the most part acknowledges the Uyghur genocide in China, whereas the muslim world is still in denial over it to not anger the CCP. Turkish Germans generally live very liberal lives in Germany but they tend to support fascist nationalist and Islamist movements because they feel like an outsider in German society. They don't see their support for Erdogan to be problematic because they never have to live in Turkey and they see grey wolves, an ultra-nationalist deep state funded organization as just patriots because they're uneducated. Most of these issues come from being uneducated and also not being affected by the violence and hatred towards minorities that Turkish nationalist and conservative movements create. Ozil had more love from Germans than the entire conservatives and nationalists that he supports will ever show towards minorities in Turkey.
Good video which I enjoyed but I wish you touched upon his career at Fenerbache and the other Turkish club more.. everyone knows about his time at Madrid, Arsenal and Germany.
Ozil was a victim, a victim of the parallel turkish society in germany. The german state as much as Ozil's parents totaly failed, a kid born in Germany got his citizenship with 16...unbelievable and yet most likely not the only kid that had parents who didnt give a fuck about their rights in Germany and lived as they would live in Turkey, accepting their role as victims. Born a victim, grew up a victim, ended his football career as a victim but hey he was probably the best paid victim.
i first saw ozil in 2010 World cup playing for Germany. it was the first game i saw and i knew he was special. later on he joins my Favorite club, Arsenal. God bless him.
Don't get the hype he is receiving from some Arsenal fans/fake Arsenal fans. The guy peaked at RM and was never the same at Arsenal. Yes he had some brilliant moments, but he was never consistent, and his pressing was non-existent. Stat merchants always say 'oh look the distance he covers, oh look at the chances he creates', but yea give me 90min on the pitch and even I can cover more distance just by jogging up and down the pitch. Chances created? Well if you rather pass from a good shooting position, or pass from ANY position from that matter, then yea you will create chances. Ozil fanboys and fangirls will disagree and say that he is such a good person and is always doing charity and stuff like that, and I don't disagree with that, but on the pitch with Arsenal he was never really that good. Even Ramsey was better.
Mesut was HIS OWN greatest enemy- as many of the "great ones" are to themselves. The problem was that he never learned how to conquer his own innermost demons.
Great video, thank you so much. Also it is true that unfortunately we still have a lot of systematic discrimination and racism in Germany and Özil definitely had to suffer from this, it is NOT true that he got his German passport so late because Germany wanted to benefit from his talent. Everyone born in Germany automatically is granted the German citizenship. No questions asked. But it is up to the person to accept it and to go to the authorities to pick up the passport. The fact that he did not do it before just proves that he and his family never tried to integrate and never considered themselves German. Which was one big reason why he was never loved from the majority of Germans despite his great skills.
I think that's true, in a way. For a third generation immigrant his way of speaking German was not exactly up to par. He still speaks German with a Turkish accent, I sometimes wonder whether he speaks Turkish with a German accent as well.
@@LoveToHearUSing to me he seems to have a slight german accent, accompanied with a very rural way of speaking that you see in a lot of turkish immigrants.
The outrage behind the photo with erdogan happened, because he gifted him a shirt with the words "my president" on it. underlining again that he doesnt identify with germany and more with a despot from a country he never lived in. Özil always blamed others for his faults. When things got heated he pulled out the "racist card". so all discussions turned into race discussions and not about his wrong doings. worked like a charm. Of course he was a great player but he had his downsides. especially his mentality. he just wasn't a fighter. i swear there doesnt exist one single header in his career. not anywhere on the pitch. another bad habit was that he didnt really try to win balls.
Ozil almost was one of the greatest , but unfortunately all good things come to an end . Germany lost a legendary player and football an unfurnished talent .
There is so much non-sense in this video, not sure where to start. He was never denied German citizenship. He had the choice to play for Turkey or Germany and he chose Germany because they were the better team. As a player he was great as a playmaker and when the pressure was on other players (e.g. Ramos and Ronaldo at Real). At the 2014 world cup he was terrible because Loew played him on the right wing instead of a playmaker behind the strikers.
I usually love your videos, but as a german, you presented this in a very one sided way in order to fullfill the narrative of the story I dont mean to attack you, but i am kind if disappointed
I remember Euro 2008. He was a revelation. Not sure what people mean when they use the word greatest nowadays. When he was healthy and playing, nobody else was generating the numbers of chances he was in the two strongest leagues in the world. Don't forget that Mou's Real Madrid with Ozil and Cristiano set records - more points in La Liga than Pep's best Barca team the sextuplet winners. Maybe by greatest you mean longest run of sustained excellence? IDK. But if I am on that playground picking a team and prime Ozil is still waiting to be picked, I would take him over everyone except Messi, CR7, and Xavi. Maybe Iniesta, maybe Ibra. Those are some legendary players.
My fav player of all time, even tho I know that there was very more players better than him, I will Forever love him. The happiest day in my life was when he signed for arsenal ❤️❤️
Now with the turkish grey Wolfe's tattoo on his chest ... why in germany/europe there are much more problems with turkish/muslim migrants, with migrants from any other country less up to zero??? 🤔 Özil is no victim of german society... With his new tattoo (2023) of the grey wolfes, Özil can't complain anymore why people don't like him
I'm a fan of Germany, and I saw Özil play in the 2010 World Cup. Immediately, he impressed me with his vision and skill. He continued to play impressive football over the next few years, creating chances even when they seemed non-existent. I believed his relationship with Erdogan and his loyalty to Turkey were misconstrued, but his actions proved otherwise (though it's quite possible those actually strengthened after the World Cup 2018 saga). Ultimately, it's up to German fans to make a decision on that-right or wrong, it doesn't matter. It's difficult for him, especially the dual citizenship aspect and he should have been a default German citizen given he was born in Germany.
The dual passport issue is also the result of Turkish laws, that forbid it's citizens abroad (and their future kids) to drop their Turkish nationality.

Don't care much about the Erdogan thing, but you have to remember two things:
-When that happened, his career was already in freefall and that event just destroyed him further, particularly as it was not a great period of Arsenal's history and was followed by Germany's crash at the World Cup in 2018;
-As you say, Ozil's best years were with Werder and Real. He deserves immense plaudits for that. Yet what we mostly hear about is how brilliant he was in... England, where he had the worst periods of his career.
He deserves to be remembered for all the good things he did prior to moving to Arsenal, after that not so much.

Yet now you let all the terrorists in to your country without any question.

And he wasnt trapped, he chose to be close to erdogan.
And this happened while he started to regress, run less and contribute less and less.

It was definitely racism
Undoubtedly talented! I love Ozil❤❤❤
He was genius at Madrid with Ronaldo
Before even watching the video. Ozil is my all time top 3 footballer. Seeing him at real madrid with Ronaldo was a joy to watch
Özil is an incomplete player. He was blessed with some rare talents. If he had Ronaldo's work ethic he would have been a monster

He wanted benefits of being German but pride of being Turkish, definitely enough to anger fans.
He went woke frankly. Too many excuses.
@@thegooner1102 woke ? Özil never act woke at all
@@stefankatsarov5806 it wasn't just özil who didn't sing the anthem, Khedira, Podolski and Boateng didn't sing it either at all times iirc and tbh there is nothing wrong to respect your ancestory but what him and gündogan did was outright wrong as an active national player.
also idk how one does act german over a win, he did make valid points that there was and probably still is a big racial debate including tons of hypocrisy that's still floating around in the DFB but he didn't really care until he was targeted, meanwhile gündogan understood what was so wrong about it and proceeded with his career normally.
10:05 Mou is such a savage!!😂😂😂
Exactly, too much false narrative
@@stefankatsarov5806 the whole Uygur thing is also just barking uop the wrong tree, because the West for the most part acknowledges the Uyghur genocide in China, whereas the muslim world is still in denial over it to not anger the CCP. Especially his friend Erdogan who has repeatedly handed over wanted Uyghur refugees back to China from where they fled from.
he was put beetween both nations, with never finding a full homecountry, we the germans never welcomed him as one of us, the turks did so he opened up towards them
@@stefankatsarov5806 love that end sentence .
A Sleeper baller. Career wise his work is remarkable.
i first saw ozil in 2010 World cup playing for Germany. it was the first game i saw and i knew he was special. later on he joins my Favorite club, Arsenal. God bless him.
Oh yeah. This guy. The guy with a Tatoo on his chest from the "Gray Wolves"
Open ur eyes
2:50 I don't think that anyone said it, but the kid in the 3rd picture is an argentinian meme, not Ozil 😂
Love this video brotherman ❤ Ozil is a different level player... Top class assist king 🙌 reincarnation of enzo Ferrari
He took a picture with Erdoğan and was happy about it.
Mesut was HIS OWN greatest enemy- as many of the "great ones" are to themselves. The problem was that he never learned how to conquer his own innermost demons.
What a legend
10:24 that girl married the biggest Rapper in Germany Bushido und destroyed his image and reputation too. Big coach was right 😂
Great video, thank you so much.
Ever occurred to you that he could have been ostracised and discriminated against since childhood?
He is on my top 5 players list and was apart of my favorite team HALA MADRID!!!!
I have tromendous respect for you Mesuit Ozil by Steve Irungu Jermaine
One if these days I would love a video about, Luis Boa Morte. And already have the tag: "From Lourinhã to English 1league"
Arsenal wasted him. I say this as an Arsenal fan
I was waiting this from daily dose
The way they snuck the picture at 2:52 🤫
Depends on Perspective, personally one of the best footballers of new millennium generation
I agree that Ozil would have been the best player on the planet, but the media destroyed his confidence unfortunately 🤦♂️
As a Barca fan, Ozil used to terrify me.
Yep
The guy is almost always fucking up the facts but that he doesnt care about inciting hatred with false facts is worrysome
I usually love your videos, but as a german, you presented this in a very one sided way in order to fullfill the narrative of the story
I dont mean to attack you, but i am kind if disappointed
It's always have been like that, he hated German colors, but they always show a single side.
As far as I can see, all these videos are like that, romanticizing players as much as they can.
This didn’t age well, as Germans are showing there true colours once again.
That rap song was uncalled for
Arsenal fans chanted "He's better than Zidane"?? No wonder they didn't win anything apart from FA cups in those years 🤣🤣🤣🤣
My fav player of all time, even tho I know that there was very more players better than him, I will Forever love him.
The happiest day in my life was when he signed for arsenal ❤️❤️
Oh Jesus he’s TRASH
Get a life!
Now with the turkish grey Wolfe's tattoo on his chest ... why in germany/europe there are much more problems with turkish/muslim migrants, with migrants from any other country less up to zero??? 🤔
Özil is no victim of german society... With his new tattoo (2023) of the grey wolfes, Özil can't complain anymore why people don't like him
Germans wanted to kill Özil just because of he's not singing the anthem during the Nationalteams.
It's difficult for him, especially the dual citizenship aspect and he should have been a default German citizen given he was born in Germany.
racism and politics ruined his career 😢
The dual passport issue is also the result of Turkish laws, that forbid it's citizens abroad (and their future kids) to drop their Turkish nationality.
Yo, i love mourinho advice 😂😂
2:54 dude really put up the meme kid as Ozil, lol.
Özil isnt hated in germany, hes like an icon for us, surely one of the best german playmakers of all time!
"german" you guys never treated him like a german and in the media he always has been that turkish kid from Gelsenkirchen.
1st also love the videos keep up the great work
