Hey man thanks so much for the positive feedback! I appreciate you taking the time to watch my video. Also this color is slightly different than sonic blue. This one is the blue from the new Acura NSX.
Wow great job and great color! Using 2 men is a really good idea. The first couple darker coats you put on before the blue paint, what was that? I might paint my Corvette this color.
Thanks so much man. That was just a sealer. It helps with letting the paint bond and also just a nice even substrate for the basecoat check out admiral blue that was a color on Corvettes. That’s very similar to this and very nice. Thanks for watching my content, and I really appreciate it.
I'm tackling mine myself! Never painted a car before lol but have it in primer now.. had to replace the RR Quarter and the wheel Arch on the left rear due to silt and dust buildup on the inside.. rusted through from a leaky top.. I chose Molten metallic Red.. long live the Vert's 💪
Great content. I have a 93 flat black notchback. Dying for a paint job. I Can not make up my mind. Reef blue or calypso green. It will be a complete color change.
Thanks man! I like both of those colors! I’ve always been a fan of the greens. I have a 93 Cobra in Teal. I like that color a lot too. Post your Instagram so I can follow
Yes actually. Here’s a write up I did about that a few months ago. Thanks PSA for all of you young guys coming up in the automotive world. This is just my advice so take it as such... I recommend that you come up with a 10 year plan when you start out in the automotive industry. The first 10 years of your career will most definitely determine the level you reach. Ask yourself some of these questions: Do I want to be a tech for my entire career? At what age would I like to retire? How much would I like to make a year? Am I interested in working for myself eventually? Do I care what kind of cars I work on, or is my biggest concern financial gain? Right now is a great time for forwarding thinking kids to get into the auto industry. You can earn a really great living if you make the correct moves. At the same time, making the wrong moves could have you starting over in your mid 30’s when you realize you don’t have a great chance at making a solid living because you went in the wrong direction. Please, take the time to think about this stuff. I was fortunate and was able to carve a great path for myself in this industry. I’m really grateful for how things have gone for me. But, I’ve learned so much over the years, and seen really talented techs make the wrong moves and have nothing to show for their talents. I remember being a kid starting out dreaming of working on exotic cars for the affluent, instead of focusing on making money so that I could be the one to own one of those high dollar vehicle’s myself. Mindset is everything. Focus on putting yourself in the best position possible, even if that means the least ideal job. Get in with a good company and stay there, while trying to move up the ladder or tech ranking. Be realistic with yourself. If you don’t believe that you can advance within a company, make a move. I’ve seen so many tech’s pass up good $ because they don’t want to work on “insert generic car” Go where the money is. Make as much as you can while you still have the energy to work long hard days. Do the right things with your money, so that you have a way out of the industry at a reasonable age. In closing, be mindful of the advice you take from Veterans within the industry. Had I taken advice from many of the veterans that were above me when I started out, I may have had a very different outcome in life.
I'm sorry for saying this but you can't paint the car with the front and rear bumper covers on. You should know that. Made it cheap this way. Otherwise it came out ok.
Agreed. I spoke extensively about how the customer did the prep work and how this isn’t a typical job for us. We basically just did the paint application.
@@gnfanatic9139 all good man, in the video I was pretty self critical because I don’t do a lot of quickie street car paint jobs but this was a close friends car and he really didn’t want to go crazy. I do have 2 foxes I have a teal 93 cobra and a 92 lx hatch. Regatta blue is sweet man!

That sonic blue has got to be the most beautiful paint ford ever put on a car. Awesome job!

These clowns left the sunroof in. It’s a pop up lift out sunroof you can ride with the roof open. Why paint it with the glass in m. Not that bright.
