Car looks amazing bro one thing I wanted to say was open the garage door half way so you can breathe if a squito gets In there wear repellent and if you're worried about the paint catalyst not curing correctly because you opened the door half way and the temperature dropped add a couple more drops of hardener and hit it with a woman's hair dryer on low/medium heat 12" away for 1 hr 15 mins,painted alot of boats and a couple new edge mustangs and this always worked.Good luck buddy
My packages are always packaged very good. Its nice to know your package will arrive in good shape and not leaking. The small pieces of cardboard i use for body filler so its a win win

Used a similar exhaust fan for my respray in the shed and noticed it works better if you have the fan at the end of the duct... ran it that way 1st and was getting dirt in the paint

I love doing 2 coats of speedokote smr-130 heavy then the next day I will sand that with a 600 then do another med flow coat. Ive learned a ton from your channel then tweek things to work for me

I almost never advise putting pearls in the clear unless you have been doing this a long long long time. Get a run in that clear with the pearls you are absolutely screwed

The basecoat color will be gm victory red over Grey primer like you did. You said it looked beautiful over gray. All your help is greatly appreciated
That did turn out awesome. I don't know if it was the camera's exposure settings, but it seemed like you were having to paint with less than ideal lighting conditions. Most of the times I've messed up, it was due to inadequate lighting. Great video tho, thanks 👍
Trash came from the plastic flopping around....I most definitely use paper on all over paint jobs. I was wondering how you were enjoying the face full of clear. I know it was hard to see thru that but turned out killer!!!
I ordered from a local store, ppg jb it's not the best for coverage but for blacks it doesn't really matter. Transparent mettalics I usually recommend getting a better brand like speedokote or deltron
Second pass I go slightly closer to get more transfer of clear coat onto panel for a wetter coat SOMETIMES. some clear coats I apply the first coat same as the second

I sprayed a few e gines and oarts in single stage Never did a full job. Car will be a solid color and will be sprayed apart because its a full color change, and i hate tapelines.

I paid $6,500 at Earl Scheib in Las Vegas, NV and my paint job came out like crap. Use Earl Scheib at your own risk. I definitely left a review of my 2010 mustang gt. I had to go somewhere else and get it corrected for an additional $1,500. And it was way better. So, I added an extra $200.00 dollars.

Marco, back in the day (talking 1987) I used to paint the rubber bumpers with a special additive. Didn't hear you mention anything about that with this paint job. Has paint technology evolved such that the rubber parts can simply be painted with the rest of the car? Or did I miss that or not explicitly mentioned? Yea there's flex additive still around today not extremely popular being most paints now a days have that stuff built in. Speedokote has flex additives in a lot of there paints for added adhesion and durability

This is truly the best way to do it however I notice the smr130 takes a few days to fully shrink back mabey let it sit over a weekend

I would say just grab slow. And yes smr42 is one of the best clears on the market hands down. Gloss retention, build , durability ect ect
What size of compressor are you running. I have a 30 gallon, is it possible to paint a foxbody with that?

My thing is after I paint a vehicle black how the heck do you take care of it? Everything shows even microfiber on the clear coat.
Get good with a random orbital polisher and ceramic coat
How do you take care of a project like this? Can you wax and wash it like normal?

Crazy thing is, even with bad lighting I got 0 runs and only 2-3 minor sags in the clear coat. I actually shocked myself

Anything above 70 I'm usually using x slow

Absolutely iv done that before use a cheap clear as a base, then top it with only 1-2 coats of expensive stuff.

All clear coats are salt and uv tested for 2000 hours good stuff

Only need 2 wet coats if your not planing to wet sand or buff. 3-4 coats if you want to cut and buff it
