    What I did with my fox was paint the car, I baked it for 30 mins, then in the booth, sand down all the peel with 800. Then Go right back it an hammer it with two more coats of clear then let it sit for the weekend. I’m tellin ya brah, completely flat finish. Beautiful car you got. Very clean work 👍

    Watched this 6/30/2022. Very informative, completely and simply explained processes, excellent videography and all done with a calm, direct, simple to the point demeaner that kept mine and gf's attention to the very end and I gotta say, WOW !! Such a beautiful paint job !! I would be proud as hell if I came out of a garage with a car looking half as good. My girlfriend and I have been in discussion about what vehicle we are going to try and obtain since we both share a love of cars. 68-72 Chevelle, 1st/2nd Gen Camaro, or 65-70/88-93 Mustang are what we have whittled it all down to at this point, but of course other options as well since they are becoming harder to obtain and pricey as well. Also, we discussed doing some of the body work ourselves (we both have body shop knowledge/experience through family and friends, so it comes down to what we are knowledgeable and confident in attempting and have time for overall of course) so, getting involved in a project together that we both can be proud of but most importantly, the quality time we will spend together is the ultimate goal overall.
    Again, such a great job, both with the car and of course, that beautiful paint job. Excellent color choice. 😎
    Oh yeah, my gf gave me an A for this, "fanboy love letter" as she called it 🤨 hahaha. Hell, I'll gladly send a glowing comment acknowledging a video of this magnitude. Not just for the superb work you put into your car, but especially your knowledge, passion & proven skill you humbly shared with others, and for taking the time making this video altogether. For me personally, this ☝video is one I HAD to send a comment of recognition.
    Best to you and your family.

    Great video and car. This is the best video I have watched. It’s clear, down to earth, and to the point. This guy is articulate and cares about what he’s doing. The video is about what he’s doing, not how he’s acting while he’s doing it. This is someone you can learn and pick up tips to develop your own skills.
    Really good job.

    Very good video with examples of How to’s as you come across them, address them and show a way of correcting the issue. I’m not in the paint and body business but am into Mustangs along with DIY videos that able to learn new ways on how to do something’s. I’m 44 and I never thought I would sit and watch a video of this length but yet I am glad I actually did. I feel like came away with more knowledge of not only the painting perspective but how important the prepping process leading up to and the polishing process afterwards is. @@TonyDFreestyle96 Appreciate it. I just found your channel and I working my way back from this video. You have great body lines and I can see you probably worked with boards from a tape line. My fenders have very clean lines now but the doors have a softer edge, which is strange because they are factory and not repainted. I'd like to fix that. I'm guessing I'll build it up with filler/primer and board above and below to define it and align it to the fenders. I'll probably replace the hinges and re-hang it first so I'm not creating a line that's built on any door sag. Any other tips on that would be much appreciated if there not in the catalog already.

    Body work will test your patience, which is why it's hard to find a good body man. #1 it's detail oriented, but #2 many people don't take pride in their work. Mine is still in the early stages, hope to have it done by May.
    I liked your vid. Making content is a lot like body work. Too many guys just use too much filler, where you are just constantly dropping knowledge. Hate guys that just talk jibberish and burry the lead.

    I really appreciate how detailed you are!! I’ve got a 94 centurion f150. The only obs 150 crew cabs short beds that were built. I’m slowly redoing it and the top of the roof where the drip rails are is starting to rust (common in centurions) and I’ll be watching this again when I’m doing body and paint work on it! Thank you! And it’s called the push pull method when you start from bottom up and pick up in the middle of roof. Could you go over with more clear even with the run?

      Hi Mike.. I used raptor liner on all the interior... the final prep is in 180 grit. You can get a tintable version of this product or you can paint it wet on wet with a single stage urethane... good luck with yours.. hit me on IG so I can see how it comes out.

    What type of masking tape do you use when applying on already painted surfaces? Does it ever pull paint off?

    • @TonyDFreestyle96
      @TonyDFreestyle96  2 роки тому +1

      I always try to run the green 3m.. it sticks well and resists the solvents well... if your pulling paint off with the tape theres a few things going on.. bad prep.. too much harder... not cured fully and pulling the tape up not away from your work. Hope this helps...

    Hi Tony, I noticed that sometimes, after wet sanding and polishing clear coat, it will become slightly textured and even a little wrinkly as it continues to cure for weeks or months. I’ve been spot painting with a heavy metallic base coat that can’t be sanded before clear. Could that be why? Your insight is much appreciated.
