Harry's is like the perfect sponsor for Mumbo in terms of the persona and brand image. Glad to see he's got another source of income for this channel outside of UA-cam ads.
I came in thinking I was going to comment about which one I thought was the best... They are all amazing things I wish I had a reason to get right now. Lovely video mate!
It is a good idea. That was honestly a good transition he did to the sponsored part of the video. A lot of UA-camrs rely on these sorts of deals and a lot of the time they come out, spammy I guess. Mumbo could actually sell some of this stuff though, like for a second I actually thought about trying the razors even though I really don't need them (I only shave like once every few months, maybe, it's really just when my mustache starts to irritate me/get in my mouth).
Your enthusiasm is awesome. Photography and film really really is still an art when you know what to look for, and I love that you continue this with this channel ❤️

You know their British when everyone’s being sponsored be Dollar Shave Club and Mumbos out here being sponsored by Harry’s I see one of these TV ads for Harry’s every day without a doubt lol 😂
Mumbo, a few of my favourites you might want to check out: Manfrotto Nano Clamps, Bongo Ties, a simple “magnification sheet” (a simple fresnel) which you can use to collimate your light far better than any commercial solution, and something that should me in any kit: tilt shift lenses.
Hi Mumbo, As fledgling videographer, I do lok for all the little helpful items (aka: tools) that add up to making the job a lot easier! I appreciate the time you put into these little spots! Keep up the great content! David
I don't really care about filming stuff myself. But I find it strangely satisfying to listen to people speak about their craft. I was entertained. Thumbs up :)
My dad bought a clamp similar to that one that has an attachment for the camera and it's AMAZING. It's a lot more compact than a tripod and you can put it in small handbag if you are walking around a city. Super stable, too.
Yeah, Matthelini clamps are my bread and butter as a stop motion artist. The Kupo ones have some odd qualities to them, but once fixed, are very handy for attaching magic arms to my animation work surface.
THANK YOU for the lightmeter love. It's such a major part of balancing light and it helps you to better understand the lenses and gear you use. I use one for 360° photography and videography because our eyes can adjust and deceive us.
Okay that light meter, that thing sounds endlessly useful. I mean i don't do filming, im here out of curiosity. So from the point of view of someone who has never filmed in a day of his life, it sounds super useful. It's like a multimeter (pretty sure that's what it's called) for electronics. It detects wether or not something has an electric current. If i was to get into filming, that's probably something I'd buy. That is, if it works properly of course.
I’m a photographer looking to learn videography. I love your video style. You should make a tutorial series explaining concepts of videography/photography. Or maybe set up a sample scene and show us the before and after images as you add different elements (lighting, lens filters, etc) to achieve the desired look. It would be super helpful.
Nice Video mumbs, My dad WAS "✝" a camera fanatic he use to go on about exposure times and "F" numbers & light levels etc and yes I do understand a little but just enough to be of use! And yes I also ordered a Harry's razor too 😉. Paul
A film friend of mine showed me that if you sort by lowest to highest price on Amazon, you can find Tiffen filters pop up for cheap every now and then. Got my Warm Black ProMist filter for only $15!
Mumbo looks like he plays rugby and is a monster at it but then you hear his voice and he sounds like a guy you want to have coffee with and hang out with
Something I would really like to see mumbo do is make a mini film in Minecraft. His films already inspired me to do just that, so I would like to see how a professional would handle it
I am going to look up the bar lights and clamps right now. I literally needed both of these things. Also, I wonder if someone can produce a shader pack for Minecraft to somewhat emulate Mumbo's filming set up. Like, just the Pro Mist Filter and the Haze Machine. So the effect is there, but subtle. I say this now, having, of course, no idea of the potential performance impact of such shaders.
Mumbo would you ever consider working on a shoot with another UA-cam producer/photographer. For example Konstantin ? Or even just meeting up in a location and seeing what photography / film ideas you can create in that area ? I think it would be so interesting to watch
Great video by the way but would you be able to make a video maybe giving some ideas for what equipment we could get for a decent price or the nessecities for photography or cinemaphotography? Love the mini movies man The Rat Pack is probably my main favourite as I love classic cars
I love the Le Maitre Neutron XS, used it for lighting design in small venues several times! When it comes to the matthellini clamp, have you tried the Manfrotto SuperClamp? it is a smaller design and also comes with a few more mounting capabilites than the matthellini clamp (but that is my personal opinion) Anyways, love your videos, keep up the good work, I love these commentary-videos you've started doing on this channel!
Ya know if I ever get into live action film making I'm gonna have to come back to this video. Seems like there's some interesting tricks here. But for now I'm probably just gonna stick to art lol
I dont watch many of your film vids, sorry, it rather goes over my head. Really interesting though. You clearly have a great understanding of light and shadow. Would be interesting if you could find someone to work with to create your own shader pack for mc. Probably not a comment you're interested in on the film channel tbh but this is coming from a 40yr old guy that appreciates all your work fella
