- In this Mumbo Jumbo Minecraft redstone video, Mumbo builds the most dangerous room in Minecraft. This deadly minecraft room is the hardest escape room in Minecraft, it has not exits, it just kills you. This Minecraft dungeon is filled with redstone traps, redstone weapons, and secret Minecraft redstone. Using features from Minecraft 1.20, Minecraft wardens and sculk sensors.

Man, the only thing that could have made this more deadly is building it in the nether so the bed kills you too
This also would make the lava flow faster so even better

Video idea : A room but nothing works as intended. Every block has a different use than its usual one. I don't know if it's that interesting, but it could be challenging !

With the new Calibrated Skulk Sensor, I think this system could turn even simpler and more compact
what does the calibrated skulk sensor even do
@@waffler-yz3gwIt can be programmed to detect only one set of sound depending on their redstone strength.
Or use a lectern, comparator, and one redstone, make 15 pages with a book, save it, put it on the lectern, and depending on which page you are on, is what the calibrated skulk sensor will detect
We all know that a room that contains Grian will always be dangerous.
can we consider this to be a Grian Grade Prison?
yeah 😂
what if the Grian prison is actually just a precursor to the Grian boss fight where he spams eggs in your face and runs away

It also won't even stop him from opening all the chests and pushing all the buttons. If anything he'd be *more* inclined to do so.
Mumbo is sweet enough that he'll go the extra step just to design a room 100% meant for Grian
He even added a button. Cmon people!
This is just vault practice...
The only thing missing would be a sign saying "Do not press". :P
@@MaikouYoruno agreed😂

You should've added an Elder Guardian or two to the mix so you can't easily break yourself out quick enough to outspeed the lava. I agree building it in the nether above a giant lava lake could also be quite productive if it weren't for the ghasts.

It would have been smart to build this in the Nether; not only would the lava flow faster, but if there happened to be a bed in the room... I'm sure it would fit the bill
I love seeing the small house burred in a mountain of redstone circuits. Hopefully one day Mumbo will try to inconspicuously add one of these builds to a Hermit Craft world.

More of these kinds of videos convinces me that Mumbo is getting ready to set up traps in the vault for Grian.
How did I not see that?
Ye that is totally a great theory,

Not 100% sure if it would work, but I think I've figured a way to escape safely, though it depends on the lava physics. Unfortunately, no. No matter where you stand in the room, and place a block above you, there's gonna be a part where lava gets you. I could be overlooking a part; but, even then, simply changing certain blocks would eliminate that solution

@@cmrnmurdock I dont think mumbo is a multiple episode spanning dungeon crawler architect kinda guy, he'd rather do something small and short instead
There's something adorable about Mumbo having fun going 2012 with the lava pit.
The reason your slider didn't work is actually due to the tick phase order. Player inputs process after block events (pistons use this phase) so the game waits till the next tick to make the piston extend. Scheduled ticks (from repeaters in this case) process before block events so there's no apparent 1gt delay that you usually see with a player input. Pushing a redstone block also causes the delay because the moving_piston block turns into a regular block in the block entity phase (after block events) so again the game waits till the next tick to power the piston.
If you're interested in why the contraption at 4:00 doesn't work, it has to do with how pistons work depending on whats giving them power. When you power a piston directly from a button, doesn't matter if there is redstone dust inbetween, the piston will be fully extended after 3 gameticks (1.5 redstone ticks). But if you put a repeater, comparator etc. The piston will extend in 2 gameticks (1 redstone tick).
With the gametick offset, the block is moving while the arrow is being fired
Idk if it still works, but we used to solve it by having piston with a redstone block power another piston with a redstone block directly or with redstone dust line in between them. This causes the 2nd piston the move in 3 gameticks and every other pistont thats powered the same as I mentioned before, will move in 3 game ticks too.
Why it all works like this, Idk. It's just Minecraft things
science innit
Sounds like something to do with update order when a player activates the redstone vs when the activation is scheduled by a repeater?
😅that is the most confusing thing anyone has said and I know a lot about Minecraft.
Why not just use redstone dust and a target block?
How dare you question Mumbo

With the new update, you should absolutely try redoing this and try it on some friends. You could conceal it in a mountain.
Very happy to see Mumbo using the sculk and sculk frequencies! this room almost seems like vault meant for a Grian LOL
Hey Mumbo, It'd be cool if after you built these crazy contraptions you tested them out on some off your friends like grian, scar and xisuma... it'll add the extra fun of us being able to see the builds in action as well as their reactions to them
Scar would find a way to die before entering the room if it was tested on him
Give it to me. I need to see this
I wanna see Docm77 escape this. He'd definitely pull some technical wizardry tricks and be successful, then Mumbo would say that's cheating, and he'd likely still escape without the technical wizardry
@@AJ-Palermo run and jump up onto the barrel on the wall that doesn't open, interact with it, press button, keep sneaked in the corner and observer the wardens getting obliterated without getting a single scratch
you can probably even pick up a barrel or something, block off a block on the roof and mine your way out of there
With all these redstone rooms, it makes me think that Mumbo is just brainstorming what to put in his vault to stop Grian (putting the footage into a video as a side thought)

I'd love to see a reaction video from Grian where he's just spawned in and not told anything. I think after the floor he'd go for the button, but it'd be fun to see.
The reason the dispenser doesn't work when a repeater goes into it is because pistons fire a tick later when powered directly by player input compared to when powered by a redstone component with delay. For example, if you were to power one piston by player input, and another with a repeater coming from that player input, there would be a 1 gametick (0.5 redstone tick) delay between the two instead of a 2 gametick (1 redstone tick) delay like you would expect
Kinda surprises me that you never learned about this after all this time, but yeah :p
the pistons were *already* being powered by a repeater.
Mumbo: building complicated redstone contraptions
Me: “how does a comparator work?”
Mumbo, I think you could have made this room even more deadly with pufferfish. If you hide pufferfish under the walls, the blocks directly adjacent to the walls will poison you, and bump you into the middle. That said, the wardens and the pufferfish will fight each other, but since the wardens will prioritize players over mobs, you'll be too dead to care if they're fighting.
I've been trying to build one of these irl and it has been very difficult. Thanks so much for the instructional video!
@luciano sibona Not how it ends. How its victims end.
Where is it! I wanna try
good luck!
Should have tried giving the repeaters an extra extension. The reason it fires through the wall is due to the wall turning into a "falling entity" so with the extension of the second repeater it fires well the wall is just normal blocks (when it stops at the top for the piston)
i love how the floor removal and lava can both be countered by simply pillaring up one block...
effectively nothing else you have ot worry about as ling as you know not to open any containers or press buttons
I also didn't know that Lava logging isn't a thing. I feels pretty intuitive.
Also, you could have named the wardens "You really pressed that?" (or some other taunting message), and it would have come up as a death message

the new skulk sensor will make this so much easier for mumbo
Mumbo: *mocks someone for pressing buttons
Grian: "And i took that personally"
I love how calmly mumbo says
“This room is incredibly dangerous”
At the start 😂😂
Ah, Mumbo is preparing security for his vault on HC, I see.
The bed doesn't break when the floor trap activates, so just break a lantern, place it against the ceiling over the bed so the lava can't dispense/fall over the bed, purposefully activate the floor trap so the lava falls down instead of pooling around the bed, and take your time mining out.
I like how in both instances of the floor trap and lava trap, he's facing away from the bed, so as not to reveal how obvious an out it could be if utilized.
I can only hope this is research for the vault. Watching Grian fight himself to press buttons is highly entertaining.
Now mumbo finally has an appropriate place to store the books of witchcraft he uses to understand redstone
You should really invite some hermits to your killing chamber see how many tries before they break out or if they can.. I'd love to watch them try!
Feels like a bit of an oversight that you can stand on top of the storage blocks. I'd jump, to throw off the break-detection sensor for that half a second, and break the walls to make my escape.

Wow! I really wish you would let us download the worlds so we could try out your contraptions.
5:00 I think some people know that there is a certain waffle man that would do it
I believe the issue you encountered with the arrows shooting through the wall is due to the update order, specifically between the piston that pushes down and the repeater that powers the dispenser. When a player powers something, it can actually cause these sub-tick timings to be different.
Delaying the bottom piston by powering it with QC and having a different piston powered by the same line update it *might* fix the issue when it's powered by something other than a player directly.
I like your funny words magic man
Imagine mumbo learning subticks and update order and zero ticks lmao
I consider myself really good at red stone but what in the world did you just say??
Just powering it with a piston instead of a repeater should fix it. It might even work by just replacing the 2nd repeater with redstone dust
5:10 the button is plan B for Grian
Lavalogging, the peak of alliteration + voice of mumbo jumbo, a great accent = satisfaction
The only reason I can think of why 'one repeater" in the arrow trap caused issues is it would make the input signal last 1 tick longer which would throw off the timing.

Mumbo's style of videos are so relaxing to watch :D
I'm glad you finally accounted for people just breaking their way out
Thanks for making video's Mumbo, I'm really glad you are back
Unfortunately it's pretty trivial to escape this room due to Skulk sensors being pretty terrible. They can only process one signal at a time for a few seconds, meaning while the sensor is processing something else it won't detect the action it's meant to. If you crouch over to the bed or the slabs and get up on them, you can now freely walk around without falling into the pit, furthermore the walking will trigger the other sensors in the area meaning they're stuck for a few seconds processing your walk signal. You could start breaking a block, and when you're almost done breaking it you just walk a little and now the sensors are on cooldown when you actually break the block and so nothing happens, repeat until you escape. If you choose a good location and you break the logs you can then place them above you to have the lava flow around you, as long as you're standing in a good location, at which point you're basically just free to break blocks as well.
me coming from 2b2t to see this: child's play
also yeah,, i think a puffer detector would work better
Why don't you build the trap house and see if you can do it, after all it's easy to talk it's harder to prove. plus it would make a good vid

This is just the advice Mumbo needs for if he builds variants of these on the hermitcraft server
Maybe the room could be made safer by giving the trapped player mining fatigue. ^^

Can you make an escape room using the same idea with a timer that makes things go more intense the more you're closer to the deadline?
I think they call that the Decked Out hazard/clank systems lol.
With the arrows through the wall, you could have a redstone block pushed into place behind the first repeater to still activate it remotely though the system you would have made but be powered by one repeater: through the power from the redstone block :)

Man, I don't know if you've already done it, but what about a traditional puzzle kill room - something where you have to solve a puzzle in time before the walls close in and crush you - or to make it easier, the roof, which would leave the floor for puzzles.
What the actual hell is "traditional" about that? That's not a "puzzle room", that's a Saw trap!
You *might be able to use some of the traps to counter other traps, like arrow bombarding the wardens… maybe. But you could have a decentish time breaking 1 log then pillaring above the lava in the middle if you are fast, then going through the roof. If you built this in the nether instead though it would work FAR faster and be much more deadly, plus all fire damage is scarier there
He mostly calibrated it so you couldn't use traps against other traps..not sure why you'd want to as arrows won't do anything to lava and vis versa, and lava+arrows would take too long to kill 4 wardens (you'd be long dead before the wardens)
And now we need to see all the hermits dying to this room 😂

A minor improvement that would have probably saved you a lot of headache. Use a shreiker to activate the redstone. This means any sound would activate the redstone, but only if the sound originates with the player.
