I'm not surprised. The lyrics based on traditional songs (going back to Victorian times and before) about a seducer of women who gets them pregnant and then moves on in an age when for a single woman having a child out of wedlock would destroy their lives . Usually the character is a sweet talking soldier and promises to stay before abandoning the woman. No modern woman would fall for those lrics.
Greetings from Canada. Don't know about nursery rhyme but it WAS an English song during the Napoleonic wars circa 1795- 1815. See The Sharpe TV show from the UK Series #2 sung by an Essex Rifleman (on YT). Zep does a real remake! Peace, love and bellbottoms.
Hi the best way to do led zepp is to start with led zepp 1 then 2 3and 4 then houses of the holy physical graffiti presence then in through the out door just a suggestion.. then you will b blown away 😊
One thing Jimmy does when recording is, almost always, he plays an acoustic guitar first, then overdubs electric guitar parts over top. Even songs with no apparent acoustic in them, have one hidden in the guitar tracks. "Light and Shade", was Jimmy's mantra, and he tried to have that on every song.
Led Zeppelin is far and away the greatest rock and roll band of all time. "When the Levee Breaks" next please!!
One of the most technically challenging songs to drum to.🤟🏴
I recall singing the opening few lines to a lady I didn't know in the street in Hayle Cornwall UK. About 1977. I was drunk she unimpressed
