When it came out in1985, it was my favorite song for more than a year. When hearing it now, memories come back when I was driving through Switzerland, listen to this song on the cassette player, with the roof of the car open and seeing the beautiful mountains. I like that you love it too.

of the music was similar too a tune she had heard before but couldn't place; Then progressing on to subtly point out
how the song was being developed with the build of tone, color and rifts; A band I had heard occasionally and after this

Oh, how this takes me back! Back to the days when I had Foreigner on repeat on cassette tape in my little car. For contrast, maybe one of the following: "Cold As Ice"; "Juke Box Hero"; "Hot Blooded"; "Urgent" ... so much to choose from!

Lou Gramm was an amazing singer. I don't think ever got the full credit he deserved. But he was amazing in this and urgent in the early 1980s.

This is a great power ballad by Foreigner and one of many from that era. You might want to take a listen to Don't stop Believing by Journey. For me, I am just an old man trying to help grow your channel with some great music that I grew up with. You might also want to listen to You Can Leave Your Hat On from the movie 9 and a half weeks. It is also a love tune like many of the era.... Beat wishes Joe.

For some definite contrast, more uptempo, driving Foreigner, "Dirty White Boy" "Urgent" and "Double Vision" fit the bill, and in between "Blue Morning, Blue Day" has some great singing as well.

I think you will love Tedeschi Trucks Band. Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks got married and combined their bands. Check out one of their live versions of "Midnight in Harlem", one of their first hits with the combined band but it's hard to go wrong with any of their music.

The sad part is that this song pretty much ended their career. And of course, some years later, Lou had brain cancer. The mid 80's were a strange period over here. There was this best selling artists show every week. And this one, being nº 1 for ages, got kind of wasted. Same happened to Stevie Wonder and Scorpions. But still, its an amazing song.

Great song. I like Foreigner a lot. Urgent live from 2012 (I think) is good also. Kelly Hanson and Mick Jones from a recent version of Foreigner, did a version of this song for The Shriners Children’s Hospital and used some of the kids in the video. Worth a watch Welcome back.
