Foreigner is a great British-American rock band who started in 1976. They had a lot of great hits such as "Feels Like The First Time", "Cold As Ice", “Hot Blooded”, "Juke Box Hero", "Waiting For A Girl Like You", "Double Vision", "Blue Morning, Blue Day", "Dirty White Boy", "Head Games", "Break It Up", "That Was Yesterday", "Say You Will", "I Don't Want To Live Without You" etc.
@@natmanprime4295 Foreigner is a British-American rock band, originally formed in New York City in 1976 by veteran British guitarist and songwriter Mick Jones and fellow Briton and ex-King Crimson member Ian McDonald, along with American vocalist Lou Gramm. (takes 10 seconds to learn enough to keep you from talking stupid)
@@paulmartin2348 "talking stupid"??? I don't give a shit, I'm just expressing my surprise!! I'M ALLOWED TO DO THAT. You googled them, and copied and pasted. 👏👏Well done, have a cookie 🍪. If I gave a shit I would have googled it myself. Get a LIFE
One of the best love songs of all time. Makes me feel good every time I listen to it. Love watching u sing along to the chorus. Great reaction!! Much love Biss ❤

This was a favorite song in the strip clubs of San Diego during my time in the Navy. If you were in the club for more than two hours, you would hear it at least three or four times. Every time I hear it I'm reminded of a sweet young redhead named Satin Spice that took me to her apartment and introduced me to her two cats and Pomeranian named Butch. Thanks for the trip back to 1985, Biss. I hadn't thought about her in years!

Thank you you so much!!! For finally doing a reaction to one of foreigner most famous and most beautiful and powerful song!!, at least in my book!. Ohh biss I so wish you could have seen this beautiful and powerful moving song preformed at the music awards show as it was so magnificent with the choir behind him! And the audience singing along!
They found this church that was under going major renovations so they rented it and invited members to come down and sing. The choir also joined in too. Forigner paid enough to complete the repairs
Hey there Bisscute, I am back again.... I am happy you know this one. Parts of it are sad. YET it is calming and hopeful. A love song!!! Don't we ALL want to know what love is??? Take care!!! I'll be back...
Lou Gramm and Mick Jones were the primary songwriters in the group. They were inducted in the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2013. They were special together. 😊😊😊😊
Saw them do this live on the tour for this album. Every night they brought in a local choir from the city they were in to perform this song with the band
Nothing major as a movie that I'm aware of, but several TV shows including "Modern Family", "Orange is the new Black", "Cold Case", and "Parks and Recreation". It's been in a few TV commercials, but I don't remember which ones except for a Toyota commercial.
I discovered the music of the 80s, or at least I was aware of its power, in the summer of 1991. I remember that in the 1993-94 academic year I was not going through one of the best moments of my life, I was 16 years old and there was a radio station that broadcast music from the 80s 24 hours a day; in class i would wear my walkman with headphones that i hid inside my sweater, and i would listen to songs like this. I repeated that course but music, thank God, saved me internally.
from foreigner4 one of the greatest albums ever, jukebox hero describes every ones passion to be a rockstar, or for more fantastic vocals Rainbow's Stargazer featuring blackmore on guitar ie formerly of Deep Purple and vocalist Ronnie James DIo
👋 Grahams unique voice, 👌, i saw them in the 80's,opening act was a young Bryan adams, fun fact, for this song they would take a local choir to perform with them, it was soooo nice 👍
I saw this live back in 1985 when Foreigner headlined the 2nd day of the first ever Rock-am-Ring Festival.... Biss .. that would be a festival for you, there are so many different music genres. "I wanna know what love is" was one of the highlights, because all of a sudden out of nowhere there was this 30 person gospel choir, all dressed in white, on stage, singing background to this song. GOOSEBUMPS 😄 Great memories ... except for the "Sonnenstich" I had this day being in the sun for 12 hours🥵
I could not begin to guess which or how many movies this song might have appeared in, but I think it even was used in a few (North American) TV commercials. A popular ketchup brand over here was dipping (no pun intended) into the old 80s hits for a series of their ads. Foreigner, Heart, and a couple others I think?
Each city Foreigner played in had a local choir back them up on this song! I know this to be true cause I saw them live and my " smallish" city high school choir was up there with the band! VERY VERY COOL 🎵🎵🎵Amazing song!!!
Lou Graham is one of the more under-rated lead singers. Foreigner are under-rated as a band, IMO. saw them live back when Lou was healthy. They were incredible!
Foreigner is hardly underrated. They have sold over 80 million LP’s throughout their careers in an era before streaming/downloading. They had incredible commercial success through the 70’s and 80’s into the 90’s. This song went to number one for 3 weeks in the summer of 1984 and was one of 14 songs to have charted in the Top 20 on the Billboard Hot 100 for the band in just the US.
80s, heck yeah! This makes me want to watch an 80s movie, like right now. I mean I do often, but it makes me want to watch more! BTW, Foreigner's music is in over 80 movies and TV shows. When this song came out in 1984 it could be heard in Miami Vice • s1e15 • Smuggler's Blues (also Women by Foreigner) and Footloose.
Foreigner has very good songs. This is one of the best known along with the other romantic ballad "I be waiting for a girl like you" which, by the way, I also recommend it for a possible next reaction
This is one of those songs I don't think anyone can go through their lives without hearing. It has been in so many movies, tv shows, adverts and all points in between. At one point, whenever record labels released "best rock albums" type compilations, you could pretty much guarantee this being on most of them. One thing I would suggest is you watch the movie Rock of ages. It is a musical based on the theatrical performance that has had residencies in various theatres around the world and has had numerous tours too. The film is basically an ode to the 80s and features songs like this and from bands like Guns N Roses and Def Leppard etc. One of the main stars is Tom Cruise in a role you would not expect from him.
The original Broadway cast was so much better than the auto tuned movie version. I wish the company that owns it would release it on video like Hamilton did.

My granddaughter sang in the chorus for this song when Foreigner was in Seattle, Washington recently.
Amazing ❤️
One of the greatest pop ballads of all time. Iconic.
I totally agree!
For sure!! Maybe one of the best songs?
Facts my Friend!!
This one and Empty Rooms by Gary Moore are my favorites for sure!

By far, the best Foreigner song. This is a anthem for sure.
Hard to deny that it's the best, but please don't make them sound like one-hit-wonders either...they have several solid hits :-)

The woman's voice singing background lyrics in the chorus is Grammy award winning, Patti LaBelle.
She has so many popular hit songs.
Actually the woman singing background was Jennifer Holiday, and Donnie Harper & The New Jersey Mass Choir sang background vocals as well.
This was one of my favourite songs when it was released
