Love my harrop htv 2300 had it on my vz clubby for 6 month and only done 1300km in it..and its already making loud grinding and rattling sounds from it... amazing product i really hope you fix it under warranty

Can the intercooler be retrofitted at a later stage?

This is excellent, very well done, awesome design. I first saw these chargers on The Skid Factory's channel. Don't worry about the negative comments, some people don't appreciate Aussie made and want boring Canadian/Mexican made LS, the rest can't afford real power upgrades for their ragged out VN SS lol. Can I ask, does this also fit under a stock VT 5L bonnet? Cheers!
So you are telling me that a 5l v8 only manages to produce 210hp while my car with a 2l 4 cyls can do the same?
My stock 185kw motor running 1.6l auto rotor/whipple with cutdown banana manifold with top mount 4barrel throttle body with bigger injectors headers and exhaust running 5.7psi made 255whp an 650nm@2200rpm non intercooled. Loved 12psi tho not sure what hp was at that though

Lol boat anchors ay. You can make 650hp fly plus on stock block and stock crank with one. The clevo blocks start bore distorting at those power levels then start blowing all the power past the rings lol.
Why do all pro engine builders use 351w blocks when doing a clevo headed build? Because the clevo is rubbish apart from a good valve layout. Then you have to get 3V heads for the rubbish engines to make any decent power.
Late 5l windsor style heads are even better now as you can get some that flow 500cfm and make more power than a clevo style head.

Iva got a 12 second quarter mile daily driver VL Calais with built VT roller cam 5.0 stroked to a 355 with forged 20 cc dished pistons dynoed at 310 rwhp on carby back yeard tune, was Originally built for a procharger but never happened, I'm keen on one of these now I wonder what power figures it would run ? also what boost can this pump like 25 pounds ?

If it doesn't pull 400+rwhp chuck it in the bin boys...although I wouldn't expect miracles without an intercooler so I'm gonna guess this perticular setup doesn't even make 10psi...
What LS makes 400 whp with just a tune? Even a vf with OTR , cat back and tune only makes 340-360.
And LS1 with headers back , OTR and tunes makes 310-330.
And then they still usually only go run a 13 still anyway 😂

ua-cam.com/video/qDZOM-m_xTY/v-deo.html&ab_channel=RichardHoldener here you go crusty, this is a LS 5.7l with aftermarket heads and long tube extractors with no mufflers and it only just cracks 400hp flywheel so it would be like 330rwhp through an auto. The engine in the Commodore in the video is only running 8psi (I know this due to the power increase) with E85 you could gain an extra 7psi and have no detonation. But E85 will need a new fuel tank, pump, line and injectors.

Hey guys who love these vr vs utes with 5.0 engine ,, I know of one that will be up for sale ,,, this is a white 94 VR 5.0 S pack manual transmission with just 65,000 kmh or less and is still in original un marked paint , all books n papers , this car is best described as almost new still inside and out , has had simmons wheels from day one , have to be of the lowest km in this shape left

@@lloydchristmas2326 Well thats ford for ya, turbo barras do very well with mods....i do agree that the hp number isnt great but the percentage is pretty normal for a supercharger, i guess the 5l probably just isnt worth supercharging....i mean a 42% increase on a low HP engine still doesnt make it a powerhouse....

The thing most of you nay sayers are missing is that its non intercooled.
Theres massive amounts of power left to be had here.
There just isnt enough bonnet clearance for the intercooler brick thats usually under the supercharger.

Can it be done cheaper? Yea it can.
But will you have the appeal of owning a roots style supercharger? No, you wont.

So add e85, go for some supporting mods and more boost and triple that power increase. It's not brain surgery man
If you want a PD power and torque curve you don't really have any other option. I'm sure on E85 you could put a much smaller pully on and get another 100hp on top so 400hp+. Problem is without the intercooler you have to limit boost.
Some Edelbrock heads would help make more power as alloy heads move heat faster so you could up boost a little more on alloy heads.
I would say to keep the donk way better for power gains than an ls conversion 🤙🏻

If that motor is stock in that car I doubt if it would have a roller cam etc.225rwkw is 30+rwkw more than a stock 6.0Ls. My low km 6.0Ls dynoed 180kw at wheels stock. A chip and pipes gets you to 230rwkw. Most bang out of a stock 6.0Ls is about 260rwkw. A Ls will cost you like 50k now before installation. So 9k for something that goes that well and sounds as tough is cheap. the modified VT roller 355 version does 600kw

Makes less power then a tuned ls1 🤷♂️
About the same power actually. Its probably under 7psi due to the iron heads and port ulp run it on E85 with a blower injector or just batch fire all the injectors then you'll be able to run past 12psi. Remember 15psi is a 100% increase from stock so it'll make 400hp on E85 likely but you'll want to get some of the E85 spraying onto the rotors.
Alloy heads run cooler so will add a couple of psi or a little more advance either way it's more power. Also most alloy heads will flow better so psi will drop off anyway letting you use an even smaller pulley.
Edelbrock heads are 2k each so 12k for the blower 4k for the heads 3k to convert to E85. You are at just under 20k for easy 500hp potential which is LS7 teritorry.

The Holden 5l belongs at the bottom of the ocean, a complete waste of minerals from the earth
