Talented and humble folks in a 1st class workshop.... great partnership for Harrop. Thanks for showing us around.
So cool to see the development of 7.3L heads. Considering it’s only a couple years old and the fact that LS is still moving forward is amazing.
The lt and l8t are completely different to the ls as they have a flatplane crank and overhead cams
@@captain1334 Only the LT6, which is specific to the C8 Z06, has overhead cams and a flat plane crank. The rest of the modern LT series uses a standard crossplane crank and cam-in-block design, just with direct injection instead of port injection.
@@captain1334 uhhh what, no they do not lol
Captain Clueless..
Awesome, as an old style toolmaker I wish I had've got into CNC and engine machining, I'd still be doing it!!
Oh this is awesome - I can't wait to see L8T vs Godzilla wars coming up :D
Seems like an easy competition. 6.6 is better factory but 7.3 wins because they don’t lock their computers tighter than military classified systems.
***The market is ready for the LSA V3100***
I do hope that Harrop has a surprise for us at SEMA 2023!!! 😊😊😊
Great collaboration between 2 professional companies who’s products go hand in hand. Well done guys.👍
Exceptionally talented people. The pursuit of excellence...Love it 👌
HarropTV~Super- what a breathtaking video.all the best,🌟
Mast Motorsports build some Gr8 stuff
Mast makes good products. I have their Gen-V LT heads. I would love to see the MAST Motorsports Black Label Harrop Hurricane intake for the Gen-V LT engine sold in the US.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! TOTALLY AWSOME BUILD!!! I LOVE IT!!!
My 23 gmc 3500 L8t dually needs that engine 😮
Awesome tech, keep em coming!
Love Harrop Products!
Thank you for sharing 👍
What a sound!
Great video!!!
Good stuff 👍
I’ve been eating for this
amazing looking parts......one day theyll be in my engine !!
As a 5th wheel RV owner, I'm excited there could be more HP/TQ available to the L8T that'll improve towing.
Whipple sells a kit right now for $7500 for the 6.6
That Endyn on Josh's shirt. Brings me back.
I can say from 1st hand experience these guys are very nice. There motors are all over the USA Detroit speed and many other shops.
Awesome Chevy products!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸💪💪💪💪
The cylinder head shootout was for cathedral port LS heads, and Mast brought an LS3 head. It had the largest valves and highest flow, but only made 10 hp more than the Dart heads. You don't need more than 2.05" valves on a 402...
Interesting and informative 🇯🇲
Sick.
Any updates from Mast on the L8T/TVS2650? Is it dialed in & reliable for high end Restomod builds? Also, how would the hood clearance be for a gen1 Firebird?
Those are beautiful pieces of jewelry.
7.3 supercharged should be the next raptor
great show mate,, makes the 70,s 350sbc and fuellie heads look pretty lame. i still dont see LS motors in sprintcars ..or have i missed something.
Heath has a beautiful telephone voice
Kinda has the Andre from HP academy voice (with Aussie accent)
SLOPPY SENPAI!
👍😎
Will you have an ' open day ' this year ? Always a good day out.
If I laser scan my engine (Mercedes M119) could you make your supercharger fit on my Merc?
would you do the LM4 out of my SSR?
I have a 2022 2500 Silverado reg cab long box. Is this package on the market with a tune and all supporting parts and hardware?
Right, I have one too.....don't need 1000 hp.....hell even 500 would be solid
Also me could anyone respond
I want order one 👍👍👍👍💪💪💪❤❤❤❤
Can it fit in a Crown Victoria?
We may have to talk soon. Oh and just saying.. I get what all goes into a blower kit... trust me. Plus when you all take them to the nexus levels it wasn't cheap. It would be nice if the entry level wasn't like it is for someone who is basically making a heela fun daily/toy and don't have it like others. This is the safest way to not window blocks etc and some of us just want a small shot for the big end on the weekends every once in a while. Yeah.
How much this eigine cost
That guy Denny Hamlin's brother? Lol
could this engine be swapped to a sports car? since the engine is a truck engine.
Probably just change the oil pan.
My Equinox could use an engine like this
Why not the coyote head and a coyote head for the 6.2 truck motor .
Probably the 2 motors with the most potential on the planet right now .
mopar 1500 HP hemi street crate engine
To much money
Godzilla is Nissan, not Ford.
Can't call a 7.3 Godzilla, when Dodge had the 8.3 + 8.0 for decades
Well that's the name of their motor. Don't think they will change it now. Cadillac had an 8.2L (500 ci) way back in 1970 which I think is still the largest V8 ever produced for a passenger car or light truck. Chevrolet came close when the 8.1L (496ci) was introduced. Actually GM and Ford have both made V8's larger than the current 7.3L before so it is really nothing special as far as displacement is concerned.
Why in the world would I want to pay the outrageous amount of money and your R&D products when I can get a junkyard 5.3 engine put some Forge Cheapo pistons in ring Gap it Chinese head studs and crank up the Boost and produce a thousand plus horsepower anybody want to shed some light on that?
Maybe reliably..! I get your point, but your probably not going to drop that junk yard 5.3 into a hotrod that will compete on the world stage for looks , power and reliability… Just sayin…🏁🤔😎
@@Dominator37 I beg to differ making it pleasing to the eyes it's not difficult to do, and these so-called high-end engines at those outrageous monies that they ask for them can't guarantee you that it won't blow up and well if it does it's never anything they did it's always the end user.
I do see your point about Dollars vs Power.
It's true to say a $3000 engine has just as much chance of self-destructing as a $30,000 engine.
It is surprising to see how much money you Need to spend to gain that extra 10% gain in power.
As you try to gain more power, it becomes more and more expensive as you reach the maximum limit of any engine.
This can be noticed the most when it comes to Porting Cylinder Heads.
$1000 Port Job 14% gain
$2000 Port Job 19% gain
I guess the choices you have, comes down to 2 things ??
How big is your Wallet and how big is your Ego ??
@@weldmachine Mr I agree with you well said, may I add that a lot of engine failures are due to poor tuning or pushing the envelope.
Because they do way more than just change pistons and add boost.... Porting the heads. Oversizing the valves. Milling the head to 100% flat to handle the pressures. The average person wouldn't be able to build this from scratch. I'm sure you could build it by buying these things already done like ported heads from jegs. Anyway there's no way you get to 1000hp by changing pistons and adding boost alone. You are paying for the research and time spent perfecting this more than the actual product.
Bigggg money…💪💵💵💵
5:24 Modern pushrod design? there is nothing modern about a pushrod engine mate.
