@@murrijuana2842 as I mentioned below there is a vr ute with a 355 and a centrifugal charger running consistent 9's which would certainly win races and still sound tough.
You can buy a complete LSA crate for the price of this blower kit alone. You can double the cost of the holden job once you build an engine. You'd have to be a pureist to do it.

Hey there im currently drifting my vn 5.0 in newzealand and want to keep it 5.0 what would a setup like this cost with a solid valvetrain setup as drifting can be harsh on the rev range/strain cheers
The 304 and its stroked derivatives are just about the best sounding V8 of all. Larry Perkins V8 Supercar is a prime example. Sick noise.

I had a mate with a commodore stock car with a 304 NA. Was tough to get 450hp at the crank, was a long time ago but damn, these guys know their stuff
