Coach Craig. I appreciate that. I’ve faithfully watched all your videos that pertain to my situation. As soon as she left me for this other man. I sought out a therapist and have been there ever since. I do workbooks on relationships, I read one attachment styles and abandonment issues I have. And on here getting all the good information I can. It’s been 5 1/2 months now and I’m slowly healing but I haven’t completely let go even though she has moved hours away and is engaged to this man. She moved the same day as the break up and engaged two months after our break up. I chose to heal and not date. I’m impossible for me to think about being with someone else at this point. She was different in that regard. It seems as if it will work for them . I didn’t and haven’t contacted her at all and won’t. She hurt me badly. And believe it or not I am a very good person and a genuinely nice person and was always good to her. But I am aware we both had our own trauma’s and issues we never dealt with. @@todd8780 Woah, engaged two months after breakup. Did she cheat on you? It's possible she kept this man in secret while she was with you or may be not but only decided to break up when this man appeared more firmly as an option (and monkey branched, many rebound relationship begin this way). Anyways, whenever i see these things or i myself suffer it seems ridiculous to me, as if you never existed out of the blue. Why the need to engage so quickly? What is the urgency? Even if they already have no feelings, they shared part of their souls to another one; they should show respect and education.
@@r.maelstrom4810 yes she did monkey branch , he had been trying to get with her for a few months. I found that out from close friends of our after the fact. So yes they were communicating with each other on Snapchat I found out. Her and I were actually good together but we both had our own issues that held us back from getting married or even living together. So ya she moved with him right away and now engaged. It Honestly almost killed me . I lost 54 pounds in 60 days, and I wasn’t overweight to being with. I was depressed. I sought help through therapy right away and that’s been nearly 6 months now and I will continue to go. And from the day she left me, she blocked me everywhere so I haven’t spoken to her. I have to let them live out their lives together without interruption from me. I don’t hate her, as a matter of fact I love her but the pain I went through was the worst pain I’ve ever experienced and I’m still in pain but healing. I miss what we had, but this guy she’s with has offered her a very nice life outwardly and she wanted that. So I wish her the best. That all I can do at this point, and continue to work on myself.

@@ThePolaris87 , we were together for 6,5 months. He is extremely avoidant and broke up with me two weeks after we had exchanged "I love you's"... I was casually dating but wasn't ready for anything serious. He is abroad now, so coffee will be next week. I have no idea how it will go but I much more confident and secure now. Life will be great anyway.

After some experience in NC, I realized that all the effort we put in ourselves is for our friends and families and future lovers. If your ex is lucky, they'll come back and get to have that from you. But if they don't, it's their bad.

Managed to get an ex back in a month. I gave her space to process her feelings, and worked on my emotional self-control thanks to workbooks and coaching with Coach Craig. He understands the whole picture of a relationship like no one else. In my now-girlfriend words, I handled the breakup perfectly. If you don't want to waste weeks or months going through the breakup, take the coaching asap.
Two years I failed with another person though.
- I was watching videos nonstop
- I worked with a local therapist on attachment trauma
- I didn't go through the workbooks
- I did a no-contact in the wrong way ignoring my ex instead of not reaching out
If I took coaching I would improve my chances and saved a lot of time.
5 months she’s been gone. She moved in with a guy the day she left me. Now they are engaged. She’s not ever coming back. I miss her, I love her but I can’t go through that pain again.

Had the exact same scenario. Engagement means nothing. Doesn’t mean yours will, but MY ex still came back. I was no longer interested.
Think about bro...even if she did come back...would u take her? The massive amount of disrespect...even if u did take her back you'd be losing a huge part of yourself. Trust me brother it gets better.
I feel you bud, was with my girl almost 3 years and she never gave me the open respect or acknowledgment I deserved being with her to family or friends. She claimed that while she loved me I would never be accepted by her Indian family without meeting their ridiculous financial requirements. She left me to try things with a mutual friend who she lied to about our relationship and after that went south after 3 months has now been with a bisexual (but really gay dude as he apparently swore off women) for almost 6 months and celebrates him like a king even if she doesn’t truly respect him. I’ve blocked her, unfollowed her but she apparently posts demeaning comedic and podcasts of herself disparaging the men she’s been with and other toxic bullshit while putting herself on a pedestal. This new guy got to meet her parents after 3 months when I never got the chance and he didn’t even want to. They sleep in separate beds. I don’t know what happened to the girl I feel in love with but she seems to be becoming and showing full on narcissism and it just crushes me to not know what is going on inside her heart and mind except that she’s made very poor choices and behaviors and I now question what was even real with her and I. I gave up all my friends in west Palm beach that I helped make for her and I and she’s living the life I wanted to live with her of doing both nerdy stuff and social outgoing stuff. I get so pissed, yet so sad, yet feel so helpless about it all. I have very good friends up here and even reconciled with the mutual friend who is on bad terms with my ex now. But with few exceptions most of friends and family expect me to be done and moved on but Im struggling with that everyday it seems.
Its time to start dating and stop wasting your time loving someone who's not there ... Seeing the ex engaged will not be helping you. Stay strong and dont stop self growth.
I feel like these are mostly signs for someone who is either securely attached or anxiously attached. I don’t think avoidants would display these signs if they were the dumper. They will be going through their maladaptive coping mechanisms.
For my situation, we didn’t have mutual friends and we are not social media centric people. So no contact is very much no contact, no visibility, no nothing.
Took my ex of 7 years for granted and was completely oblivious to it because I thought we would always be there for each other and half the time she was laughing and having fun. It really hit my ego and humbled me since I was dumb to not pay closer attention to her. She broke up with me late May but we still live together. Felt overwhelmed with guilt of not trying hard enough to make her feel loved and heartbreak so I’ve been fixing myself on the inside while hiding my emotions about the relationship. I’m sure shes caught on that I have what it takes because she started to be more accepting to casual talk, who knows maybe it’s just wishful thinking, well she might just want friendship. I’ve been binging these videos and I have gained a lot of insight. She’s currently on a 2 week vacation but thats probably not enough time for no contact. Either way I no longer feel crippling anxiety and if she parts ways, letting her go is love.

Never assume they feel the same. My ex reached out a week ago, saying he wanted to come to my place to see me. I ignored it. He wouldn’t have expected that.
Waited 8 months moved out she said she needed space and perspective and blah blah she has mental health issues that are really bad right now… when we last talked I asked her what we’re doing and she said she can’t be the wife I deserve and this is best for now. Now I’m the one that am has to do the divorce as she won’t initiate anything just like usual. I am two weeks. I contact after all this it’s my one last attempt as we never were in no contact more than 5 days during this whole time. Is it to late to try no contact?

I have all the signs - he came back to tell me he missed me but when I asked him for another chance he backed off. Then he comes back again, started telling me he misses and that a Marvel movie reminded him of me, asked me to visit him a state away and see a movie together; he also overshared information about himself such as interviewing for a new job, going on vacation etc. He also follows me on social media and watches all of my stories.
When he says he misses you, do not ask to get back together. He must bring up getting back together. Also when he starts talking about his personal details, listen a little but be polite, cut him short and say you have a cooking tutorial or something lined up and have to go. You can say you have dinner plans with a friend or have a chapter to read.
You are allowing him to get boyfriend benefits from you and you are getting nothing but confusion in return. Not fair, stop being available for him. He must get separation anxiety and act if he wants to keep your support and resources. His activity is a good sign though.
@@nbee6217 hi thank you, you’re right about me being too available. We did meet up for a movie date and then afterwards. He texts me out of the blue a lot and then when I do reply he lets the conversation die. I’m working on not being too available and see where this all goes

8 months ago he went off the grid nobody heard from him now he’s popping up trying to talk with our mutual friends like nothing happened. I heard he’s drinking a lot now too which he didn’t do before. It’s like he died and came back…I feel like I’m going through the break up all over again. I thought I had healed and moved on

They don't have bad intentions though, I guess they go through a lot of confusion as well and have no idea how to fix the mess they made. Also they want to get back but are not really sure they won't leave again and if you will even forgive them for what they did. If you are strong enough to endure it, then by all means respond kindly to their reaching out but if it sets you back, you can kindly ask for a break in contact for a certain amount of time.

One year after my breakup and my ex still likes every FB-post that I make. So in some ways she still cares. It will be interesting to see if she ever reaches out again for real.

@@fj4731 Don't contact them yet, you are still emotional and outcome based. Heal your heartbreak first. Then you can reach out when you won't be crippled by no response or finding out that you have been blocked.

Part of me wants her back and to fix things, and part of me doesn’t really want to. I posted a story for the first time in like 2-3 weeks and her best friend was the first person to view it. What do you guys think the chances are if we broke up around December (we have been together for 2 yrs). Then I heard she got in a new relationship in Jan, she told me that she feels that she rushed her relationship and that she knows she should have used more time to be alone. So I assumed this was a rebound relationship, and we ended up catching up in April and had lunch together. It was a real great day, she was helping me find stuff for my room. We ended up having sex that same day, while she is still dating this other guy (who she friendzoned while her and I were dating). So after that I went back into NC for about month and then in May we bump into each other. Before this, she started following my social media account and liking my content. And when we were catching up she told me that she hasn't told anyone any of her friends that we slept together. If she is keeping this lie from her rebound, is this a good sign for me? After this, I told her that if she can't give me what I want, then we most likely need to walk out of each other's lives. She began to cry saying, how this is "a lot to take in" that we will become strangers. What do you guys think? I am back at about 3 weeks of NC, what do you think will happen? Will she reach out and come back?
Thing is if she does come back, having allowed her back in your bed means you now have to worry about her jumping into bed with the other guy when she gets back with you. I think you guys need more time apart. She has not lost you yet. Because you availed yourself and gave her all the benefits. You eased her separation anxiety.
There is no urgency to drop the other guy and get back with you. So you need a longer NC period so she can have time to process what she wants. This confusion is unhealthy for you.
My ex has been messaging me a few times today. Asking me where his certain things are and telling me why he needs them . He's messaged me again but I'm scared to open it as I think it's a bad message. It's been 11 weeks and I normally get to 10 days before he's messaged me again.

When she says she misses you, ask her to "prove it" then hear what her response is. Go back to NC. Only respond if she reaches out otherwise just mind your own business.

So She left six months ago...i don't know if she got scared of commitment (started having doubts after i have purchased a home for us) the grass is greener (She missed me and everything about us but had the desire to try it somewhere else, left for a co worker) or she really just wanted to end things (told me that She loves me but is not "in love" - it fizzled).
Here are the signs i got:
- contact on my birthday and expressing curiosity/interest in my life, and briefing me about her life a bit
- watching my stories and interaction with my profile picture
- being friendly and warm in conversations
- our photos She Has uploaded are still on her Facebook
- her best friend's husband contacted me
All of these signs i have decided to explain as her being friendly/feeling guilty (totally blindsided breakup).
But i would love to hear your take. We have Been together for four years and had a good healthy relationship. I am 33 and She is 26 and left soon after finishing school and starting a full time Job.
Shes not going anywhere, i went out with a guy for 7 months he ghosted me and blocked me for sending him a relationship you tube video. I was dating someone else a month later, 10 days after blocking me he unblocked me, 3 months later he texted me happy birthday then texted me every month for a year. Im dating him again for the last three years, i learnt everything on attachment and i run this relationship now, its very easy when you know how. He does everything for me i do nothing, first time around i put everything in to him now i put nothing in and hes buying me gifts taking me out spending loads, travelling to me, tables have turned because im lm not the same person i was and now i have all the power. do i think he will be able to commit properly, hell no but i dont care anymore and hes not my only guy now. What happened i woke up. I expect nothing, hes very jealous now, tables turn when you learn these relationships are transactional only these people dont make good partners so have options or move on. X
