My cousin & I are from LA. She found this video & has been making them ever since we moved out to Texas. Taste just like the Banh Mi sandwiches back in Alhambra!!😍 so freaking delicious thank you for sharing the recipe!
I already had made my pickled daikon/carrots a while ago, but I used the marinade shown here on pork *tenderloin* and it was wonderful. Going to make it again, tomorrow, with pork shoulder. Can't wait. Might see about using a wok in the future too for the fry.
When I tell you THIS IS IT !!!! believe me ❤❤❤ I was craving Vietnamese pork with rice and came across this simple recipe which didn’t look like it will take long and if I tell you that this has to be hands down one of the most delicious recipes I have ever tried and all the ingredients are staples in my kitchen which made it so easy. Thank you for this and much love from South Africa 🇿🇦 ❤
I'd say 400 degrees for 10 minutes, in a preheated air fryer. Flip halfway through and don't crowd the pan. You want the edges to have a nice sear and caramelization if possible. Always make sure your pork is completely cooked through.
She said 'baguette.' Use captions the next time you watch videos with instructions, like tutorials for any subject.. It helps a lot to catch details like these.. Looooove Báhm Mí..yummy!!
The cost of all these ingredients is way more than buying the banh mi's. In Vietnam they are so damn cheap. $1-1.50 USD. Viet Pho is only $1.50-2.50. The west is a rip off.
Ohh wow i love the music ..and your banh mi sandwixh so yummy
I had this recently at a small Vietnamese snack bar. I have to say that it was one of the most delicious sandwiches that I have every eaten.
made this today. great recipe. actually the first time i ever pickled any vegetables too and it turned out great

Just stumbled onto your channel on 12/03/2023.
o.O a cooking video from Tristram
In seriousness though, looks great! Gonna try this tonight.
If I put the mark into the air fryer what will be recommended temp and time?
I'd say 400 degrees for 10 minutes, in a preheated air fryer. Flip halfway through and don't crowd the pan. You want the edges to have a nice sear and caramelization if possible. Always make sure your pork is completely cooked through.
Had this today in Lowell Massachusetts… amazing … it was only $7.50
Looks delicious! Could you please recommend where to purchase Vietnamese baguettes in San Francisco? Many thanks!
I’m sorry, I’m not familiar with the San Francisco area 😣
Anywhere they sell banh mi's they sell you the viet baguettes. Asian grocers will sell the baguettes.
What cut of beef would you use for the beef option?
I would use beef rib
Sirloin tip works or flank.
Yummmmee
🤤🤤🤤 yummmm
I second that!
Just curious, how long does the mayo last in the fridge?
Theres a expiration date of mayo, right?
🤤🤤🤤 oh boy.
Is there a way to print this recipe?
❤❤❤LOVE
What kind of bread there using ?

Needs Maggi Sauce
i need a YT channel.... soon
For some reason my marinade would burn in the pan before the meat could cook all the way…did this happen to anyone?
Your pan may be too hot. Turn it down a little bit so the meat has a chance to cook through before the sugar in the marinade burns.
