I definately thought the same thing when I saw this, and was just as suprised no one else made a video on it. Whilst an Ecclisiarchy weirdos team would be fun, I'd deffo prefer a standard Celestians Killteam. Not only so they'd then hopefully add regular Celestians back into 40k, but also Novitiates just don't really do it for me, so I'm still playing with Compendium Sisters. Also because I feel like the basic battle sister kit is already very customizable with tons of different weapons, a banner bearer, a Sister holding a grenade and even a Pet type unit with the Cherub, that it just lends it self really well to being the basis of a Killteam. In terms of what's more likely, I agree that for a new edition they'd want some kind of brand new kit to wow everyone. However, correct me if I'm wrong but the fleur de lis symbol in 40k is specifcally asscosiated with the Sororitas, and not the Ecclesiarchy in general, so I feel like it could go both ways.
Agree, agree, agree.
I can see an Ecclesiarchy weirdos team being a thing & would be an interesting twist on a new team.
Glad you think so.
They really fit when you consider GW’s tendency to color in the margins with Kill Teams
Let’s hope so. Also silver Sisters are best Sisters. 😉
I hope so too, but I do disagree about the metallic paint scheme!
Sounds reasonable. Sisters with Upgrade Sprue in addition to the option to bring other models would be no surprise for me (after this video)
I do doubt they will do an upgrade sprue team in a launch box, but it could happen.
I thought it was either a fancy base for the new Seraphim Canoness, or terrain as well. So, I’m glad we’re on the same page. 👍🏻
Didn’t think about a new Killteam though
It could simply be some scenic base material for the Jump Pack Cannoness we know is coming for 40k, but the kill team reference in the rumor engine article gives me hope, and frankly I want to believe, so fingers crossed for something more than just the one model!
It looks like wreckage from a battle. Could be interesting
Indeed, looking forward to it!
I enjoyed the Kill Team reference in the blurb, as an 'in-group' thing.
It didn't cross my mind that it might actually be a kill team rumour though.
Well, makes a lot of sense to me given we are expected a new edition and that means new terrain!
I think it'll be seraphim vs swooping hawks 😂 medic has range red and shoots out the healing with prayers
I mean, if the Valrak stuff turns out to be true then I absolutely want some kind of Seraphim or Zeraphim team, but also I just don't see it.
@@TabletopImpulse i dont see it either. But wouldn't it be funny.
we covered the rumor engine on Vox Cascadia EP 11
Ah, I really need to catch up with your podcast! Honestly I suck at keeping up with things that aren't on the UA-cam.
The rumour I subscribe to is it's tactical terrain for a jump pack canoness. I don't know about kill team but so far for 40k it's been one or two character models per codex and I think that's what this is.
If it is a kill team I'd prefer it be actual sisters, as someone who doesn't really care for the ecclesiarchy side of the army.
It could simply be some scenic base material for the Jump Pack Cannoness we know is coming for 40k, but the kill team reference in the rumor engine article gives me hope, and frankly I want to believe. I'd rather it was a sisters team, but I would still enjoy an ecclesiarchy team.
5:58 I really hope not. The separation of teams and terrain is a real boon when you have a large collection already.
I think if the new core rulebook and various cards and other gubbins are thrown in it ends up being preferable to buying things separately just because of the cost they will put on all that stuff later on.
I see what you are getting at, but I think you are discounting the storage tax that comes with scenery being in the main box.
8:52 I can see Sisters getting the Scions treatment as they are trained in the same places. I’d rather see Scions back at 3 though. Kasrkin never actually had BS 3 in Kill Team, and should definitely stay at BS 4.
Perhaps, but Scions got BS4+ in the context of a team wide ability that showcased there training at shooting things with guns, it's a little different I think.
@@TabletopImpulsedo you mean Kasrkin? BS 4 with elite points is slightly better than BS 3 from memory. I don’t think Scions got an extra ability in Ashes of Faith except nerfed to BS 4 to pander to the, “Kasrkin should be the bestest guardsmen evah!” crowd. I certainly wouldn’t be against them getting elite points to compensate for the drop though. It seems entirely reasonable.
I can see some form of updated Sororitas kit being in the new edition of Kill Team launch box, as their new codex is also being released this summer.
For that same reason I have no idea on who their opponents might be, as we have no idea on the post-summer roadmap yet, unless they are also planning on another Chaos Marine Team/Kit akin to the Night Lords Nemesis Claws as part of the Chaos Marine release.
Both Kill Teams don't tend to tie into 40k Codex releases, one at most. It could be literally anyone in the box against the sisters, last time sisters were featured in a box they were up against the Tau, so it doesn't even have to be the traditional enemy of chaos.
End of May ??? Noooo I just ordered nightmare and I want both haha money is like wind it comes it goes
I mean I could be wrong, I'm just a guy who guesses about stuff on the internet.
New Grey Knights feel so far off. Genuinely thought paired with Demons, they'd be - while not launch box factions - a chance to refresh psychic combat for Kill Team later this year.
I feel like with the Grey Knights they need to get around to them in 40k... is a big range refresh with larger marines on the cards for them yet?
I think your on to something here 🤔
I hope so!
Dear GW please, no more 10-man cookie cutter kill teams. It's been done. Now an Ecclesiarchy Agents kill team that makes heavy use of the roster mechanic like Inquisitorial Agents KT, I'm in!
I don't disagree but whenever they do that other folks on the internet complain that the team is not Kill Teamy enough and is just a 40k release.
Red sisters best sisters. Red sisters fastest sisters!
Ork detected!
I hope theres man in it
Huh? If it's sisters of battle it wont have men in it, but if Its Ecclesiarchy then probably the preacher and the crusaders will be men.
@@TabletopImpulse just trolling, dont mind me 👍
It’s all a red herring, the text is a false clue. Clearly it’s a new model for Bretonnians in The Old World.
I don't think warhammer community is this duplicitous.
