  • We took a room which needed decorating for a child’s bedroom, and chose Farrow and Ball estate emulsion #235.
We used F&B white and light tones undercoat - 1 coat followed by two coats of borrowed light estate emulsion.
The house is old and while many cracks were filled, the wall surface is still imperfect and suited to the very flat look of F&B paint. For a high traffic area, modern emulsion is a much better choice and easier to clean.
Cornicing is from screwfix : it is light and easy to install if you (or your friendly neighbour) have a mitre saw and basic trigonometry to cut the angles. I used Supercove sealant to fix and fill the gaps. Use panel pins to hold the coving in place while the adhesive sets.

Not seen many videos of this farrow & ball paint, and while it’s hard to precisely match in video, using ‘dramatic cool’ filter in iPhone gives a close match.

North facing, but gets a lot of light. The latest room is in Eddy which is a green version, similar tone to the borrowed lights blue. I’ll post a video. Really difficult to show on video as it always changes the colours.
