Fair or not, the best part of Murray’s whole run for me was seeing little Alex’s shame watching himself on the screen chase after a quid with a bucket of ice water while Greg stared and grinned in disbelief.
Maybe Greg just isn’t paying him enough lol

They are both paid by the channel they work for. And likely alex does get less per hour than greg.
However since alex puts in more hours, he likely gets paid more for this show.
@@berndarndt9924 yeah they are not paid by hour, but per episode or more likely per season. Dunno who earns more, though, the face of the show with a big reach normally takes the cake but Alex, as the creator and producer is very likely to be in the same bracket.

They're best comparable to the Tea Party faction of the GOP over here in the states.

Sarah stopping to pet a dog is the most relatable moment of this series.

The donut task was genius. Really simple (once you got the rules down) but super engaging. I never thought people moving donuts hidden in a box would keep me on the edge of my seat.
You should look up 8 out of 10 cats - Carrot in a box. These donuts are nothing compared to that carrot, so funny!

I still can’t believe that out of all of the people they booked for this show, they somehow accidentally managed to chose the one comedian who is somehow related to Cary Grant.

@@mariasousa2961 It wasnt the lowest. U had to have the least amount of donuts but the you had to be the only person to put that amount (unique). Two was the lowest amount that no one else had.

The early series not having enough episodes makes me so sad. Only 5 episodes of Doc Brown, or Catherine Ryan or Paul Chowdhry is not enough.
At least Katherine is in the first two Champion episodes, and she's in the studio in a series 9 episode to sub in for Katy Wix.
Also Doc Brown has gone on record saying he didn't enjoy being on Taskmaster, so he's probably lucky his series was so short

Can someone calculate roughly how much Al had spent in the entire series?
Not including the things he brought in as prices, the addition goes as follows:
Taxi and courier for the “clothes-spreading” task: 340£
Gong 1: 30£ (estimated after looking at the prices at different gong rental services)
Gong 2: 30£ (estimated after looking at the prices at different gong rental services)
Taxi for the pea-throwing task: 150£
Paying Alex to carry his bucket: 80£
This adds up to 630£.

The river charades has to be one of my favorite tasks ever. It's got everything. Weird objectives, frustrated failings, lucky hits, random shenanigans, and sneaky rule bending! Plus some bonus points for sending me to Gormans Modern Life is Goodish, another great series.
OH IT'S "GOODISH"! I genuinely did not understand what the problem was when they all kept saying "rubbish", I thought that was the title of the show.
I like sneaky rule bending, but it's better when it's not just "ask someone else to do it". I'd have run across the bridge and told my teammate the answers in a quiet voice standing next to them.
I like Sarah's style. She plays in the spirit of the game to have fun, and treats winning as secondary. Like her, I was sad to see Paul knock the doughnuts onto the floor; and I was delighted that she'd wanted to give them to the audience (but Paul's answer to that made me laugh hard).
That would be stupid. The donuts were already handled by everyone. Giving them to other people for consumption after that would be unsanitary. Paul was being a comedian by doing a bit with donuts that were surely meant for the bin.

Bringing in a picture of Cary Grant as your most attractive relative is such a flex - unbelievable. When Dave read that task he must have known he absolutely would win!
My favourite part of this is Rob getting angry and Sara thinking it’s part of the game
The part with Sara and Rob during charades made me laugh so much that my belly started to hurt. The way Rob danced, Sara repeated the dance and didn't get it at first - perfect :D

Every start of a season I get sad that the previous contestants are gone and we have this new unfamiliar group who are less fun. And then immediately by episode like episode two I’m completely on board with the new cast only for me to be sad when the new ones are gone next season. What a cycle lol

Credit to Paul's gambit in the final round. Nearly everyone kept the same number of donuts on the second pass. If Sara hadn't changed hers, he would have won. It was a good strategy, luck just didn't work in his favor.
The whole series can be summarised with the word "innit"
In that fill the bucket with water task, they could have dropped all those pebbles in the bucket to raise the water level innit?

Doughnuts on a stick is one of the best live tasks they have done. TBH all of the "call my bluff" type live tasks are normally the most entertaining, like doughnuts and especially like one leg or two.
Al with his gong and his wig falling off, if not an impressive slow-mo, was genuinely one of the funniest things in the whole series.

Having recently had a lot of trouble opening a coconut, despite trying multiple tips and tools, I’m impressed by how easily Sarah did it.

I had a suspicion, so I looked it up and apparently the villain of the upcoming Black Widow film is called Taskmaster.
Dave was my favorite this whole season! Love his sense of humour and genuine light energy, wish he'd gotten more recognition then those playing a character.
Paul is always the most suprising when hes even just mildly competent.

Pretty sure this is my favourite episode of the series. Classic Al and Dave moves, and Greg's punishment was so odd and hilarious
This was so fun! Not only the series as a whole given that every competitor is so unique and yet they all had chemistry, but being able to follow it week by week on the channel. I know these are old series but it's still nice ♡
Next season is gonna be fun! It's my second favourite :D (after season 7, no one beats James Acaster and Rhod Gilbert)
