Just came to post the same thing should have learned from his dad's deer. He was the reason his dad gut shot it. I think they do it for a better camera shot and if so...STOP IT. Just kill the dang deer.
I caught a buck during post, post rut ( biggest I ever shot ) coming down a ridge about 45 yards in front of me walking, and sounding like he was stepping on everything he could that made the most noise, and I mehhhed and whistled ( I can whistle very loud ) and then hollered like I was yelling at a child in danger...🤭... and this thing acted like it was deaf. It never acknowledged me in any way. He walked through my clearest spots and i had a small hole through some underbrush that i put my sights on and squeezed off when his shoulder presented itself. Just so happened to drill him and he dropped in his tracks. Has anyone had a rutting buck do that before? Or do you think maybe he was deaf or had some kind of ear problem? Because theres no way he didnt hear me if he had normal hearing. I mean I was letting him have it loudly many, many times........I MEAN PLEASE!!!! Someone comment please.🤭

He left out, as long as it isnt the real big one i wanna shoot, and as long as its an old buck that i wont wanna shoot in the future. Lol. When he says hunting so hard, giv him a break he is walking some to the stand and climbing atleast 7 or 8 steps to get in it. But hell he is sitting all day so that cuts the work down tremendously, right in half. Lol. He dont kno wat hunting is. He damn sure shot a monster tho
Depends on where you hit it. If you gut shot one you’d wanna back out for at least 12 hours so you don’t bump him. If I make a double lung or a heart shot I normally give them about 10-15 minutes.
