What's the latest u can plant a foodplot...only opportunity I have on my lease in Maryland is after they cut the soy beans..And if it's possible what would u plant
Hey Nick, thanks for watching! I actually just overseeded some soybeans last week on Terry’s farm. As long as your farmer isn’t planning on going in with a cover crop, we will seed Biologic winterbulbs/sugar beets, radishes, and maximum into standing beans. They will usually start to germinate a little bit later when the beans start to defoliate and some sunlight hits the seeds, they typically don’t get quite as tall or grow the huge bulbs but they provide a food source for you! We put the seed on a little heavier than what is recommended on the bag because the germination rate isn’t quite as high but we’ve had good luck with it, hope this helps! Good luck this season!
@@nickprince2774 yes, we mix them all up, put some Delt Ag seed coat on them, and hand seed them in. In a worked plot they typically recommend 8-9 lbs to the acre but broadcasting like this we typically run around 12 lbs to the acre.
Well forest I planted those biologic seeds in the 4 feet tall soy beans you told me to and I hope it works bc I got destroyed by ticks and chiggers...The god awful itching will be worth it tho..Thanks for the help
David Morren Well me and my parter got land In Iowa and are still praying for rain. I just hope EHD don't hit us to hard. But are MO land is it bad Mark I feel your plan!
Drury Outdoors has been my favorite hunting show since I was little. Thanks for your dedication and all of your contributions to the hunting industry. Your truly insperational
I'm stoked for 22' I'm hoping to get my first bow deer this year... well honestly my first period this year. I'm trying food plots for the first time along with trimming, hinge cutting and some other techniques I've learned.... let's hope we all can get it done this year
Almost go time!! Bummed that I won’t be planting my first ever plots this year. Landowners will not be moving their cattle like they normally do so it would be a waste. All of y’all’s stuff looks good
Hey Ben first off would like to say thank you for taking the time to leave a comment and watching the episode! It's a bummer to hear that you won't be able to get your plot in due to the cattle situation, but there is always next year! We greatly appreciate the kinds words, good luck this season and have a great day!
What was the scent that keep the buck Taylor took on the TV show This weekend that stay till legal shooting time. I didn’t hear it on the show. Thanks for sharing all kinds of great deer footage with the DOD 🦌🎥👑💯👍
Joel Mcmahan, The Buck Bomb Doe N Estrus was the scent used in Taylors Missouri rifle hunt. Pretty awesome to see the scent work its magic on a fired up mature whitetail. Safe to say he was looking for love in all the wrong places! We appreciate you taking the time to watch this episode of Deer Season 22, and we wish you the best of luck in the woods this fall!
I REALLY miss the videos produced 6+ years ago. This stuff of planting big food plots and sitting in a big comfortable blind just waiting for the deer to come eat isn't my cup of tea. I miss the videos where you were sneaking into bedding areas and hunting the timber out of treestands for deer. THOSE are the hunts I absolutely love. If there is a way please go back to those kind of hunts.
Thanks for watching this episode! I film Terry hunt out of trees quite a bit still, we just haven’t ran into any of our shooters out of them the last couple years. We’ve hung some new sets this summer so hopefully this fall we can kill a big one in the timber to show ya! Good luck this fall!
Fell's Point, thank you for taking the time to watch this weeks episode. There is a lot of planning, strategy, and different tactics that go into the late season including food plot architecture that results in hunts ending like this one. We appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment, and wish you the best of luck this season.

I'm guessing you guys didn't notice that fawn sneaking out of the beans as you guys were installing the scrape tree until you ran back the tape. 😂👍
We noticed!! The tree was heavy and we didn’t wanna drop it to watch it run off! Lol

I just had to spread cereal rye onto my brassica plot to save it. Deer had it eaten down to the dirt (Northern MN). Good luck this season everyone!

Damn, this is as close to a deer ambush as it gets. Maybe set up some claymores just to be sure….point toward enemy.

Nothing makes me cringe more than seeing people lay their barrel directly on something as a rest
