Forest to the rescue!!! I’ve seen people install raceways on walls and up high, and after a while they start setting and coming off, no bueno. Forest’s solution is perfect! Great job guys.

I'm really enjoying this series and boy, it's funny how much this is turning out to largely mirror my own Small room home theater.
When I first put mine together, I used raceway for everything, including the Atmos wiring. But then earlier this year, I ended up redoing it much like you did and ran the wires into the ceiling and am SO glad I did. It's so much cleaner now. It was quite an ordeal though! At one point I had to have my wife help me with the attic portion as I had a bit of a panic attack. Like you, I still have raceway for the floor level speakers, but a lot is hidden behind shelving so there isn't much that is truly "visible."
For my ceiling wiring, I actually have it going up INTO the attic in a bundle of cables in one corner. But only about 2 feet of is visible due to my movie shelving being in that corner and since my room is painted dark blue, it's barely even visible at all since it's in shadow. I just didn't to drill into the board at the top of inside the wall, so I took this route instead.
    So yeah, pretty similar experiences.

Attics are not pleasant! Panic inducing environment for sure. Sounds like you got it all squared away. Well done!

What I like most about all this is the simplicity with which you get the job done. No extremely technical processes. There is no need to complicate things.

Haha, I knew you were an installer, sales, or something for a HT company when you were installing your own wattbox as a DIYer. I myself do installs atm. This is top quality content. I saw your latest video and worked back from there. Build a HoverEZE platform sometime :)

Dude! This is awesome!! I’ve never seen anyone else go this far and showed so much!!! Thank you! 🎉
I really liked how you did the raceways (what brand/model?) also, that gigabit port thing was really cool! I didn’t know you can do that! lol 🎉
Ps. I’m hoping you get the starke audio sw15/sw12 sealed subs or maybe similar and please please do an audio style review of those speakers and the subs you get in!
Pps. If possible, please include you shelf install and other installs like you did with this video! It was really cool to see it done in “real time/time lapse” however you edited that stuff in!! 🎉

Glad you enjoyed it! I’ve got some great stuff planned. I linked to the raceways in the video description.

Where we live in North Carolina putting the TV power cable in the wall like this is not permitted by building code. Aside from that, great video. Looking forward to the next in the series.

I have raceways for all four of my Atmos speakers on my main floor/living room. I want to run wire in the ceiling but I'm not sure if it's possible.

At least you’ve got the luxury of an attic above your room. My theater is in the basement and I’ve come to terms with the fact that I’m going to have to hire someone to run them. Waiting until everything is where I want, but in the mean time the little command hooks for lights work well for temporary runs.

Yeah, got lucky on that one. If the room was on the main level it would be much more difficult. Thanks for watching!

Wow cool video. I wish I recorded my journey from the beginning. That I’m still on. It’s a cool hobby. The only downside of this hobby is when you are done, you have nothing else to do on the weekend 😁.

What are your thoughts on that high back theater chair, will it block the rears?

These chairs are temporary. Stay tuned for the solution

@ sweet! Good to hear, I bought into the theater chairs for my living room HT and had to sell them. Went with a 18’ duel chaise sectional. Excellent channel for us regular joes. Keep them coming 👍🏾

A bit of overkill with speakers in that small space...in my opinion.
