Don’t forget to mark your maps. If you find an alpha and fail to catch it because you killed it return to camp. Set it to the time of day that you saw it and return to the location it will respawn at the place you marked.
There is some ludonarrative dissonance with that, for sure. But it can mess up balance some when keeping PVP in mind. But I do love being able to swap them around though.
i didn't even know you could tbh idk if it was in the tutorial and i missed it or what but i died about 15 times fighting lord arcanine with low level moves before i learned i could change them lol
My Tips to add on 1.Catch every Pokémon you see crafting Pokeballs are easy when you leave the area it help a lot with the research points for star rank an you can already have side quest done 2.Don’t rush the game explore 3.For ppl not sure bout a Team get Shinx he can get fire fang and ice fang from the move teacher 500 each I believe 4.kO’ing Pokémon you get items so don’t feel bad when you do an it usually help towards the Pokédex. 5.Have fun
Tip, when a Pokémon you want to fight has noticed you, you can still catch them unawares by dodging/stunning them and landing a backstrike. This also forces a single-battle against that Pokémon in case you've been noticed by multiple Pokémon. Useful when approaching Alphas or in the Sea Legend event.
Use your Wyrdeer to traverse the rifts for shards. Quicker and easier to avoid being hit by the spawning pokemon. Also, you can get all the shards quickly and then focus on catching / battling the pokemon as they spawn. Do comb the rift from time to time because more shards will fall sometimes.
shortcuts: in a wild battle if you want to switch your pokemon or throw a ball you dont have to go into your bag. for throwing a ball just hit X to switch to items then hit the throw button (ZR) the game will ask if your sure say yes and there you go throw ball shortcut. if you want to switch pokemon just hit R or L till your on a pokemon you want to switch then hit throw button and there you go switch short cut. dont know if this is common knowledge i just figured it out myself during the tutorial and i dont remember anything saying to do this
I'm going to comment this on your most recent video as well so there's hopefully more people that will see it. For organising your pokemon in the boxes, a very fast way to organise pokemon is to use the + button for finding the box you want to move them to after selecting them as a group. If you don't do this, it's a serious pain trying to organise since the group you selected has to be in the exact same shape (3 along and 2 up for example) as the new space in order to move them. However if you press + after selecting 12 pokemon for example, as long as there are 12 or more spaces available in the new box, they will automatically be placed in the gaps (regardless of location) so you don't need to move them a couple at a time. This has saved me a tonne of time and now my pokemon are all neatly and easily separated into boxes of normal, Space-time exclusive, alpha, and shiny pokemon. Hope this helps more people...and also hope there's a future QoL patch to make sorting pokemon easier.
I’ve been playing since Gold. This is easily the best game of the series and it’s not even close. It’s everything I have ever wanted in a Pokémon game. I love the catching mechanics, battles are actually somewhat difficult at points, the story and setting is cool, I love how you can customize your character, etc. 9/10 game for me. Only drawback is the graphics but I don’t care about graphics anyway. This game freakin rocks. My roommate doesn’t even like Pokémon and we played it for 6 hours straight last night.
Titles video pro tips and goes on to show the settings menu and repeat the tutorial. Great work mate, truly a deep dive into strategy and game mechanics..
Thanks for this! Best tip I think was the stun items, the spoiled apricons, etc. I didn't really know how to use them at all before, but your tips are great, thanks!
I believe the dex research lvl 10 and dex research perfect is only needed for the pokemon you are trying to shiny hunt. I don't think you need to have that for every poke on in the game in order to get those odds, you just need it for the pokemon you are encountering
Definitely still room for improvement, but Arceus is by far the best pokemon game so far. Really excited for the future of pokemon. I think pokemon continues for at least 30 more years. Maybe even longer

Here's one that I truly appreciate in this game. Many occasions, villagers ask you for a pokemon. Whatever pokemon you give, will be the exact model that will be shown. So if you give an alpha Parasect to the guy who asks for it, he will then have a giant alpha parasect in his home. What's more is that they retain their nicknames. Lastly, villagers usually will have unique dialogue for when being given alpha pokemon. Sometimes they may decline saying they're not ready, blah blah blah, but often this give you a fun way to customize the village.
@@BBFCvids yeahh i just got the game and did this mission. I tried all my 4 buizel but it wasnt large enough, then I ran into an alpha and just gave it to him 🤣

I've gotten so many early game shiny Shinx over this past year, it's crazy. I was just doing a BD nuzlocke, and there it was. For Legends Arceus, it was my very first shiny, and I found it before even crossing the bridge
Pls pin-Tip for some alphas(or just alakazam) Each time an alpha respawns, it gets a random moveset, it can get 1 out of 4 movesets pre set and its random, IF you find the right alakazam movesey and have a strong/bulky dark type, I recommend umbreon as its easy to get and can be got very early, an alakazam alpha set has only psychic moves, so in that vein, IT CANNOT HURT YOUR UMBREON/DARK TYPE, so kill it, and level like crazy, I think this can happen to other alphas, so check sets online for alphas and see which you can stop from harming you, this is key for leveling.
Great video. I totally disagree about the Pokémon research levels though. It's easier to wait until you get Braviary, the flying mount, and THEN go back and easily complete all your research. So much easier to get around and you can actually save time this way.
#7 I actually enjoyed that part My first playthrough I just played however I wanted and once I needed to "Seek out all Pokemon" to face Arceus, that was a "new" goal to go for as I was done with the story. And instead of just catching one of every Pokemon, I made it my goal to get lvl 10 on all Pokemon before facing Arceus. That also gets you the shiny charm and is the amount of Completion that's good enough for me to feel satisfied

Currently trying to complete the dex entry for each starter and each evolutions entrys. Holy hell its taking a while. even more so for the main starters because they normally need 15 to 40 uses of one of their main moves for 3 moves example being, 25 leafage 25 arial ace 15roosts for rowlet thats off the top of my head.

You can catch any level Alpha Pokemon at any rank. Rank just determines if there's a chance it will disobey you. Anything is catchable. Higher rank balls make it much easier, though.
Still at star rank 3 and have caught alphas from level 30 to 54 and some of those were caught at a lower star rank. They are probably going to have to play on new saves and test the game more to show the exact numbers of what the actual catch limitations might be.

Save your spoiled apricots and mudballs to craft sticky globs. They are way more effective and can take down any pokemon with one hit, or any alpha with 4. Also if you put it close to your pokeballs in your bag, it will be faster to access which is great inside rifts where you need to catch pokemon fast before fainting. Also using the right cake for a pokemon almost guarantees a capture.

Completing each pokemon to level 10 as you encounter them is hard in early game due to lack of resources. What I did is at least reach mid game before returning to each pokemon. still reaching level 10 is a hard but fun goal.

Plz pin - Tip for power leveling up to lvl 45 in the first area When you aquire Wyrdeer you can pass Snorlax and jump up the mountain (between Snorlax and Lake Verity). At the top you will find Staraptor (daytime) and Drifblim (nighttime) both at lvl 45. Sneak and try to divert their attention with berries. There are some grass spots to hide but you will have to use some berries to get them close to you. After catching some of them you might be able to fight them with appropriate Pokemon. You will even find a Togekiss flying between the two highest points of the mountain encirlcling Lake Verity. If you have some Feather Balls you can catch it relatively quickly (let it fly some rounds until you adjusted the angel and prepare to throw the next Feather Ball as soon as it jumps out so you don't have to wait for it to fly another circle)
I don't have save data gifts. I want a festival mask :(. If you save often the charms are probably unnecessary. I need to check if I need to change moves. Can't you catch Pokémon with stealth to gain experience without fighting them? I've seen Austin John do that. I didn't know Steelix could be found in the wild.
15:00 so before even watching this I was exploring today and found this spot. I found a bunch of machops up there not machokes. But on the hill on the other side, there was ONE machokes I grabbed. And an alpha chansy and an alpha blissy I wanna say. May wasn't a blissy but it wasn't a chansy. I dipped tf out as soon as I seen em soooo idk 😂😂
There is zero reason to turn off autosave. It only autosaves when u catch a Pokémon or fast travel. If a Pokémon runs away, u can just reload your manual save.
I never liked pokemon in the past. I loved going and catching them but i hated the game style. I have always loved open world games. Pokemon in open world? Its amazing! I am definitely buying this game.
i go back and forth between side quest and pokedex surveying and main story lol some i've completed for tasks and some i haven't but it hasn't become tedious yet!
I caught the alpha rapidash at LV2 rank and LV15 pokemon battling him lol I thought I was the Don after doing that I explore alot 😅 so found so many alphas already haha 😄
I’ve done a few space time rifts and I have a lot of shards. I know from googling that I need to buy the recipe for the star piece from the crafting building in town. But when I talk to the guy, he doesn’t have that crafting recipe for sale?! How can I unlock it?
Now not a lot of people know this but if you talk to lavington then he'll give you two of the starters that you haven't picked but you do have to finish the game
My advice to complete several, not many side quests and complete main quests till post game then do all the side quests so you can have plenty of time to play around. Get shellos at Sandgam Flats at the beach. Very useful for early game. I dont know if this game has that original method for leveling but you dont evolve pokemon until level 97 or 98 because it takes much less xp to level up than evolved ones. This might be different on arceus though but works on other pokemon games.
I disagree because the prizes you get from requests are extremely helpful. Especially in the early game. I’ve been focusing more on the requests than the missions right now & trying to complete a lot of my dex entries as well as evolve & level up.
That's not a good way of building a team. The lower level a pokemon is the lower the stats if you wait till 99 to evolve it then It will have its maxed based stats from its first original evo compared to its final form which is stronger
This used to matter more for certain pokemon that received moves after being held from evolving bur now with the move swap you should never wait to evolve. Just knocking down the final stats more and more
Don’t forget to mark your maps. If you find an alpha and fail to catch it because you killed it return to camp. Set it to the time of day that you saw it and return to the location it will respawn at the place you marked.
They didn’t make it time locked?
Or just save beforehand and reload.
The fact that you can change the Pokemon’s moves is something I never understood why it didn’t exist from the start. Like Pokemons have amnesia.
So glad they fixed it
There is some ludonarrative dissonance with that, for sure. But it can mess up balance some when keeping PVP in mind. But I do love being able to swap them around though.
there are pokemon who have amnesia though
Technology limitations? Nothing more than that.. maybe a little bit of strategy too
i didn't even know you could tbh idk if it was in the tutorial and i missed it or what but i died about 15 times fighting lord arcanine with low level moves before i learned i could change them lol

When you aquire Wyrdeer you can pass Snorlax and jump up the mountain (between Snorlax and Lake Verity).
This actually were some great tips
Can't wait to play tomorrow!
Im getting after i go home in 9 months contract in ship 😍 can't wait to get my switch and new game
Let’s gooo
I don't have save data gifts. I want a festival mask :(. If you save often the charms are probably unnecessary. I need to check if I need to change moves. Can't you catch Pokémon with stealth to gain experience without fighting them? I've seen Austin John do that. I didn't know Steelix could be found in the wild.
tip: when your on the map you can also press x and you have different options where you want to travel to :D
Great tips!
Super helpful. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
Subbed, thank you!
Thanks so much! Now I know a lot for my first play through in 20 or so minutes while my game downloads!
Thanks 🙏🏻
Got you
Motion sensitivity is a misnomer of a setting. To turn on motion-aiming this setting needs to be higher than 0.
i go back and forth between side quest and pokedex surveying and main story lol some i've completed for tasks and some i haven't but it hasn't become tedious yet!
I got a random shiny Zubat and I knew this game was gonna be amazing
aye nice
Just started the game today this is great 👍🏼
I'm late but I was like 50 hours in before I released if you press X on the map screen it brings up a list of fast travel destinations.
That stun trick is awesome! I'm level 7 and never thought to try the stun on alphas...
Isn’t the best way to not lose items reloading your save?
Good stuff, man
Thank you so much for this video! My game needs to hurry up and get here already lol
I caught the alpha rapidash at LV2 rank and LV15 pokemon battling him lol I thought I was the Don after doing that I explore alot 😅 so found so many alphas already haha 😄
So many questions answered this was awesome
“the blissey will only use normal moves” THEN WHY DID IT IMMEDIATELY OHKO MY POOR DRIFLOON WITH FLAMETHROWER LMAO
LOL YEA ITS GOT A RANDOM 4th MOVE F
Serious question.
Aside from appearance, what’s so special about shiny Pokémon?
Nothing other than the color, so basically if you want a rare color mon shiny hunt!
That’s literally it lol
nice tips!
All ready completed the game me and my son were playing it 24/7 lol
This is brilliant, thank you!
Great guide! I fought Blissey once and it did not know any non Normal moves and then the next Blissey knows thunderbolt! What’s up with that?
I’ve done a few space time rifts and I have a lot of shards. I know from googling that I need to buy the recipe for the star piece from the crafting building in town. But when I talk to the guy, he doesn’t have that crafting recipe for sale?! How can I unlock it?
Now not a lot of people know this but if you talk to lavington then he'll give you two of the starters that you haven't picked but you do have to finish the game
I used Pokémon home they give them to you as a present 😊
Loved this video but you should’ve hid your camera in a lot of parts, it was a bit hard to see/read a lot of information on screen
These are great tips!!
@@kerryann9851 sure. It goes both ways.
