    I wish I had a powerful computer that I can achieve kind of this scene

    • @cgslav
      @cgslav  3 місяці тому +3

      I don`t have a so powerful PC. Actually, my workstation is an old PC with Threadreper 1950x and 64 Rad DDR4, Just updated to RTX 3060. As you can see it`s not a PC monster)) Sometimes I work with really large scenes in Blender but the first secret of working with large scenes is optimization and the second is pc. I think I need to make a video about this topic because I see a lot of comments about this)))

      @@cgslav It's lower than I thought. Instant rendering speed looked very good. Also, whenever I try to create a natural environment like this, my computer has a hard time. This discourages me. I have an rtx3050 laptop. I'll save the money and buy something nice. I'm still learning and I love creating things. By the way, I love your work. You are one of my favorite environmental designer.

    This is stunning. One question: Why export a 16-bit PNG sequence instead of a multipass EXR sequence? Wouldn't the latter allow for the most color data manipulation, as well as tweaking individual passes to your liking?

    • @cgslav
      @cgslav  3 місяці тому

      A 16-bit image is pretty enough for color grading. If we look at video production then we may see there colorists use 10-bit or 12-bit video footage for color grading. Due to I did all the compositing manipulation in Blender before saving the final render, I don`t need to save multiplayer. Usually, I save exr multilayer for compositing but not for color grading. Exr doesn`t provide any advantages for color grading but takes more space and due to the larger weight it works slower in preview.

    You do very great things man...!
    Can you know why my PC doesnt follow theses kind of scenes? I have an GTX 1050 Ti (with 4go of GPU), is that too horrible to doing realistics renders?
    Everytime I do realistics things on substance painter I just can't export-it to Blender, I'm always "system is out of gpu", same when the scene becoming heavy in objects etc...
    Feel dumb like I'm missing something, I can't be the only one who has a PC that can't do realistic things 😂

    • @cgslav
      @cgslav  2 місяці тому

      Thank you so much!
      I understand your problem. Unfortunately, GTX 1050 Ti is not so good for GPU rendering, especially for large scenes. But try to use CPU rendering instead of GPU. In this case, the CPU will have some advantage of using as much RAM as you have instead of 4Gb that GTX 1050 has.

    awesome tutorial 😍 !! also im new to using to ant landscapes, at 0:36 how did u make the mesh bigger without repeating the texture?

    • @cgslav
      @cgslav  3 місяці тому +1

      I extruded the last edges of this mesh to make this mesh larger. Just don`t forget to subdivide new faces to get the necessary mesh density according to the density of the main mesh.
