Actually I did not understand why you converted the weight into vertex color. Just use an Attribute node in the shader, enter the name of the vertex group and use the Fac output.

What's wrong with mist pass?

looks good. I tend to make smaller boxes and place them around the scene( like partable clouds , rather than 1 large fog box as it gets a bit slow. also for the distance mist I just use the composite

Эмэйзинг туториал. Зэнкс ю фор ит. Вот реально классные видео. Я даже не сразу понял, что это сделано на компе, хотя работая в блендере, как правило, подмечаю такие вещи. Единственное, что снег слишком круглый в местах, где он оседает на обьектах. По идее он должен градиентом сползать по ним, потому что снежинки летят с разных сторон и попадают в том числе на боковые части пропсов. Это можно добавить в текстурных нодах через Ambient Occlusion, добавив его к оригинальной текстуре обьекта через Mix Color. Но это уже если прям в мелочах начать ковыряться. Да даже если придираться, то всё равно выглядит шикарно!

Hi, where the trees are from?

Well done it is really fascinating. So, i told on instagram post that i had tough time to create snowy ground by adding a plane cloud texture and enabling displacement with using HD materials but never tried sculpting the ground with dynotopo. As far as i understand, adding hd material to a simple plane just not enough sometimes. Thank you again!
