Is there any way you could do an episode about vault 62, Atlanta, and the Atlanta Free Republic? There is actually a lot of lore about that, (I just found out about it and I can’t stop reading the lore) thanks.
27:40 man, that's honestly super fascinating. Very fitting that one of the strongest creatures in the DnD universe was downscaled to become one of the strongest creatures in the Fallout universe.
8:45 In my opinion there are a couple of honorable mentions in the intelligent deathclaw department. In New Vegas you have the alpha deathclaws in the quarry. I think I remember there being a few different methods of interacting with them that don't result in a reload. There's the deathclaw you return the egg to in Fallout 4 as well as the one that navigates the underground aria in Concord and pops up in the street. You'd need brains to use doorknobs and hatch latches. Not smart enough to speak (maybe) but not stupid. Killing machines that choose not to kill the player under complex conditions seems like a sign of intelligence as do the ambush tactics they use for hunting. Throwing objects like rocks or dirt is very rare in the animal kingdom. Only the most intelligent creatures use weapons in battle. Intelligence isn't as obvious if you're only looking at it from a human prospective. I'd put them up there with lions, dogs, killer whales, primates, birds etc...
The maker of deathclaws actually explained why deathclaws have eyes and other traits that don't match up with chameleons. They have a LOT of other DNA in them. They have puma and snake in them and I believe he mentioned bovine too. They just have the biggest recognizable DNA from chameleons.
fallout 3 and new vegas deathclaws were straight beeline speed and max strength. fallout 4 and 76 deathclaws are agile and dodgey like a cat. big difference
Gorus is the name. He's highly intelligent and can speak . He's featured in the cult fan movie on UA-cam called Nuka Break..He's wearing a hooded robe in that though. He's one of the two survivors from vault 13 ,after it got purged by Enclave.
You sound so much like the radio dj kid from Diamond City.. Just saying. Good lore video though. P.s - You asked if there was any intelligent death claws left, there is. In game lore at least two intelligent death claws survived the Enclaves purge of them in vault 13. Horrigan didn't get them all. We see one, Gorus in a large hooded robe in the cult fan movie Nukabreak. Yes it would be cool a.f to own a baby death claw pet. Best waste land bodyguard ever.

You don’t find deathclaws, they find you
Yes

Don't forget snake mouths
Chameleons were used as the "base" creature is all
Was a whole vault of intelligent deathclaws in 2
It'd be like playing as a werewolf from Skyrim, resigned like the scorch beast lmao
Deathclaw Steak 🥩 is underrated 🤌🤌🤌
A delicacy, for sure.
Deathclaw omelette. An omelette to feed the whole family.
There's mods to play as robots, so I hope there's some for playing as Deathclaws.
Its not necessarily intelligent but there is the friendly deathclaw in fallout 4 when you return its egg

There definitely chameleons sneaking around in Florida. Go to the everglades.
There could have been made on both the West and East coasts that could be why they are in Appalachia

Tou misspelled Cazadors
There are no intelligent deathclaws in newer games. The deves are against "talking animals".
I learned nothing.
Well congrats on having more deathclaw trivia than the rest of us, for whatever that's worth
I learned females have backwards horns and smaller dorsal spikes today.
